I love the outside of the car, as well as the interior design. But the engine... My father owns a brand new Opel Corsa GS line with the same 3-vcylinder engine and it's suitable for the Corsa. But in the Astra...it's underpowered, it's so noisy... I - on the other hand - have a 2019 Seat Leon FR, 1.5TSI 130 horse power. And you can barely hear the engine reving. Some 1.5, 1.6 or a 2.0 liter 4 cylinder would suit this Astra so much better in my opinion.
isn't noise good? not like o shit my car gonna brake down noise,but when u go over 3000 rpm and shift in 3rd gear,ufff i have 2004 opel astra with 1.7 cdti,bro over 2500 rpm from second to 3rd,it's loud as fuck inside,and i like it im a bmw driver but i don't have a bmw :(
Elle est très belle cette Opel Astra, la face avant j'adore, elle a une sacré gueule, en noire elle est magnifique. J'aime bien la découpe des portières arrière, un petit clin d'oeil à la Kadett "D" et "E". L'intérieur, je suis carrément fan, le tableau de bord est très bien dessiné, de très beaux sièges, le volant est sublime. Bravo Opel. Très bonne vidéo Joe.
@@titifill2712 , j'ai le même moteur sur ma 2008 de 2017, je n'ai pas eu de problème à presque 46.000 km. Avant j'étais dans le groupe VW, j'en étais très mécontent.
@@michonstephane5890 j suis mécanicien auto…j ai encore jamais vu un puretech arriver à 100000 sans avarie majeure (j entend par là panne immobilisante) entre les bobine, le cylindre du milieu a 0 de compression, la courroie qui bouche crépine et pompe à vide …détruisant le moteur au passage…c est franchement le pire moteur de peugeot
@@titifill2712 , je sais que le 1.2 PureTech n'a pas bonne réputation. Le pire moteur de Peugeot, peut-être, l'ancien 1.6 HDI 110 ch c'était aussi une catastrophe comme moteur, volant moteur qui s'use prématurément, casse de turbo à répétition. Le 2.0 HDI 136 ch c'était pas fameux en fiabilité. J'avais une Polo 1.2 TSI 105 ch, mon Dieu la chaîne de distribution qui claquait comme un bruit de ferraille, je m'en suis vite débarrassé, la chaîne pouvait casser à tout moment. Une belle merde aussi ce moteur.
@@michonstephane5890 des 1.6 hdi 110 16 v a plus de 250000 km, j en vois toutes les semaines (si tu modifie le bouchon du carter d huile qui empêche la vidange totale ou que tu utilise la vidange par aspiration, y a aucun soucis, ainsi que changer les joint d injecteur et virer le tamis de rodage dans la durit d arrivée d huile de turbo (chose que peugeot aurait dû faire à la première révision, mais déposer un cata, pour eux, c est trop long) Concernant le 2.0 hdi 136, la c est plus des 450000 que j croise sans avarie (hormis fap si équipé faute aux utilisateurs qui font des trajet de 3 km en gasoil) Par contre, un puretech, depuis sa sortie, j en ai changé pour ma part une cinquantaine (sans compter les collegue) Même le premier thp était plus fiable (et c était déjà pas fameux)
I like it, I had the chance to drive one last week & oh boy is it better the Focus/Golf/ 308 & Civic. It hugs the road & the feeling of a quality product is certainly present. Oh boy have Opel/Vauxhall upped the game with the new Astra, plus the kit you get with it in the mid & low level offers as standard puts the competition to shame. The steering wheel is well designed & balanced to give excellent road feel & the flat bottom helps a lot in tight turns when on other cars you have to replace where your hands are positioned the Astra u can still turn the wheel & It keeps the workload down to a minimum, the front & rear plus the 360 cameras are Uber clear, the 2 huge touchscreen displays are also excellent. The climate & vents r great plus the difference in mood lighting is also a nice touch. The HUD & road sign recognition works well & the cruise control do a great job plus u just lock on to the car in front including the lane assist keeps u centred without the usual bouncing from left to right that happens in other vehicles. All I can say is great job 👏

@@Raffaello49996 wkurzają mnie tacy kierowcy, którzy zamiast jechać jak jest wolna droga, spowalniają ruch. To samo na skrzyzowaniu- jest zielone to jedź a nie baw się telefonem. On zamiast wyjechać z parkingu stoi i uważa że wszyscy mają za nim czekać bo jaśnie pan sobie kolorki podświetlenia zmienia. To ten typ ludzi który pogania światłami na autostradzie poczym zajeżdża drogę i hamuje bo wg niego za wolno wyprzedzałem .

Środek tej Astry w końcu pachnie świeżością, gdyby ją porównać do innych aut z podobnej półki cenowej. W końcu ekran wpasowany jest w deskę rozdzielczą, zamiast wystawać poza nią. Zegary to kwestia gustu, jedni lubią graficzne, inni analogowe. Ja jestem fanem analogowych ale tutaj wizualia wyglądają naprawdę fajnie i można nimi nacieszyć oko.
Expensive trim, aggresive look but underpowered platform (3cyl PSA engine), useless HUD, annoying turn signal sound, average dash (screens do not impress me). There are better alternatives out there, sorry. Thanks for the video! 👍

Bardzo ciekawy samochód. Ale nie podobają mi się cyfrowe zegary oraz to że cyferki na prędkościomierzu przeskakują zamiast płynnie się zmieniać. A to już było np. w Focusie mk3 FL.
@@Raffaello49996 Przyznaję, że też byłem sceptyczny do tego rozwiązania, ale dzisiaj nie wróciłbym już do analogów a zwłaszcza tych w głębokich tubach. To już niestety wygląda dość archaicznie. Tzw. virtual cockpit daje możliwość ustawienia wszystkiego pod siebie i dokonywania zmian kiedy ma się ochotę. Patrzenie dzień w dzień na te same analogi może skutkować chęcią szybszego pozbycia się auta z uwagi na niewątpliwie pojawiający się powiew nudy. Nie wiem jakie możliwości konfiguracyjne daje ten cockpit Astry, ale przynajmniej dla sceptyków powinna być możliwość wyświetlania obrazu tradycyjnych wskaźników. A z czysto estetycznego punktu widzenia lepsze wrażenie sprawiałby jednolity panel niż okienka ekranów umieszczone w piano blacku. A patrząc na ten bolec na kierownicy chyba obawiałbym się, że za chwilę ukłuje mnie w nogę. ;-)
Do you know what you should always do in your videos? Maximum speed. It would be really cool if, in addition to what you already do, at the end you took the car to a road and accelerated to the end. And you're forgetting the dash cam.
@@WojterEXx I didn't know. It is a pity. I live in Brazil, here you can't either. The maximum speed here, on some highways is 120 km/h, but people here don't respect it very much..
@@WojterEXx watch out for cops and cameras, open your waze and that's it. Can't speed without some precautions. I live in Romania, max speed is 130, but on highway roads if all is clear I usually speed to 180-200.
I have the 2020 opel corsa F with this 1.2 engine and I cant get enough of its engine note. I absolutely love it. Looking forward to buy the new astra when it comes to turkey.

I love the exterior, in fact I still can't believe how the designers managed to convince the company to make a muscular looking car, since all the cars nowadays are simply futuristic and ugly. However I can't stop hating that shiny plastic covering the whole front console. It screams cheapness. I wish they used some other material. Even fake carbon-fiber would look better.

No se pueden meter motores tan pequeños a vehículos así. No cambio mi Astra H CDTI ISUZU 1.7 por eso ni loco....y pagar 23000 euros....que gilipollez. Un familiar mío con ese mismo motor con 50000 km en un Opel grandland le ha petado motor en Galicia y con solo 3 años.....si en vez de ir adelante, vamos para atrás ...donde estén los 2.0 GTI de antes. Tanta mierda con las leyes anticontaminación
Great car, I really like the design in and out. Kudos for the physical buttons below the screen. And since Im tall with disproportionally long legs and i cannot drive any peugeot, I still have opel. But... There is 1 thing that pissed me so much in this model that makes it a no buy for me. The digital cluster. Wtf is this design. A vertical line for rpm and a number for the speed? Couldn't they at least make a few different layouts. I prefer the analog gauges. But if its a screen, it has to mimic analog gauges (like VW does with multiple options to customize). Went to test drive the astra and was pissed immediately by this.

Ile juz km zrobiłeś ? Jak tak :"ogólnie się sprawuje:" ? Teraz tak patrze... Nie przeszkadza Ci ta kierownica? Bo taką starą vectrą to trąci, mogli sie lepiej postarać...

Astra jest przykładem tego, jak francuski koncern chciał "utopić" niemiecką konkurencję kupując Opla i projektując nową Astrę właśnie... Wygląda paskudnie. W środku i na zewnątrz.
Para ser probador de coches la postura al volante es horrible,los brazos nunca deben ir completamente estirados,las muñecas deben quedar a la altura del aro del volante,es más fácil y seguro tomar curvas así,de la otra manera estás muy limitado de movimientos.

Worst car in the world. The audio system keeps adjusting the volume, can't shut ghat off. Also car makes emergency stops out of noting. Collision protection activates on a empty road. De doors are from hard plastic like an old car. Indicator sound goes very loud over the speakers. So, you can notice its actualy a peugeot with the worst electronics and audio in ghe world. So i say dont buy it. For 36000euro you can easily find something better
