For some reason this premise/aesthetic appeals to me way more than ZZZ. The modern setting with supernatural stuff is very cool. Can't wait to see more gameplay.
The main reason why it appeals more than ZZZ is because its infinitely more immersive. ZZZ is just a menu game where you get to use your actual characters for like 20% of the game. This game lets you actually interact with a world using your characters.
I only played ToF up through Vera but the exploration, combat and even just general movement be it running and climbing, using a mount or using a gadget were all pretty good. Ill also say the characters mostly looked good and the overall graphics were solid while i felt the early worlds overall design was lacking, Vera kicked it up a few notches. Personally it was more the day to day grind and awkwardness of ToF being a gacha MMO that finally made me stop playing. Hopefully NTE (pls dear lord change that name) has all the things i liked about ToF (and upgraded to a an even higher level) but more of a, at least, solo player focused experience with maybe some optional coopt. Imo the one thing all gachas have to have is an overall casual experience. However to really shine a game needs to weave in a more hardcore(lite) aspect to the gameplay that are both optional but rewarding. Anyways ive rambled on long enough but NTE looks interesting enough to follow its development and see if hotta has learned anything from creating ToF beforehand.
So first off, I love the animation/art style with the city landscape. I'll definitely be keeping my eye out for it. However I'm not a fan of loli characters & the 1 and only male character they showed was super mid, I hope they get a wider variety of male characters. Also I still play ToF and think it's a better game than people give credit. On another note, have you dropped Solo Leveling? I've semi kept up with it for dailies and it seems they've fixed some of the major loading issues and was wondering where you stand on it now.
It looks great, but im superrrrrr skeptical, alot of things turn out too good to be true and the company has a poop track record, im worried for the combat and systems in the final product whatever the reality is, i HOPE they use tof as a learning experience and make good on this, and if its good ill try it with full skeptic hat on
Now I'm just curious to see what new "hate" or "outrage" people are gonna come up with for this new game. ZZZ is still taking the brunt of it all, due to recency bias, as did WuWa when it was also new 🤣
I think it looks good. Project mugin is shivering right now since it's the same. Also zzz is going to get absolutely destroyed by all these games. I'll give zzz one year before it gets overshadowed by all the new gacha games.
If u think this kind of game is going to overshadow ZZZ a casual game specially in CN and JP then u clearly don't undertand their market not to mention this game is clearly is not going to run well on mobile they are using Unreal, if they dont know how to use it they gonna mess up again not mention that Unreal is to heavy for a mobile game, CN and JP everything moves around mobile so in the moment is bad optimized they are gonna gonna lose their big market just look how bad is Wuwa doing in CN because of that and JP is starting to don't care about the game cause of the time consuming and bad optimization and not mention Kuro want the game in the future is to focus in the grinding aspect and that doesnt work in CN and JP cause they are mostly student and workers ZZZ a niche game even with the crítics is receiving in CN is still doing better than Wuwa the only one who consume a lot this kind of game is korea and western people
@@Kazuki842 fair enough. If the game performs as you say, it's just going to be a stepping stone for another gacha to do better. Gacha games are improving fast and I honestly don't even know what the space is going to look like in the next 5 years.
