Members of the New Orleans community and surrounding districts were treated to an Easter fun day and kite-flying festival over the long holiday weekend.
The initiative created by the Barbados Police Service some ten years ago, seeks to bridge the gap between the community and law enforcement.
Parliamentary Representative for the City Corey Lane, says such programmes play a pivotal role in the lives of young individuals as they serve as educational experiences, teach critical life skills and provide an outlet away from crime.
Meanwhile, Station Sergeant Jamal Mahon says in spite of the decreased level of participation after a two-year hiatus, plans are in place to stage a larger event next year.
