This Jim Mora guy was A Amazing Coach coming on to the N.F.L. scene after going to 3 Straight Championships in Philadelphia with the U.S.F.L. Philadelphia Stars. Mora brought his Winning Ways, Winning Culture and Winning Attitude to New Orleans, He Best Parcells, Shula, Gibbs, Shottenhimer, Walsh, Landry, Knoll. You line Them up and he Best. With Ball Control High Percentage Passing by his Cajun Cannon Quarterback play of Bobby Hebert, and his Amazing Line Backing Core of Rickey Jackson, Pat Swilling, Vaughn Johnson, and Same Mills. Jim Mora completely changed the Trajectory and the Entire Football Culture of that Franchise from 1987 to 1992 in that Complete span he was one of the Winnest Coaches in the League, He Best some amazing Super Bowl Winning Coaches along the Way Dikta, Siefert, you name them he Best Them! I don't believe he get enough credit for how he completely turned that entire Franchise Around!!
Fred McAfee was drafted in 1991 by the New Orleans Saints and played 16 years. Known mainly for his outstanding special team he earned a trip to the pro bowl in 2002. He was a team leader, despite rare opportunities on the offensive side of the ball, and a consistent special teams captain for the Saints. Upon his retirement in 2007, the Saints promoted the respected McAfee into a front office position, a post he holds to this day.
Props to Dierdorf for mentioning that Don Warren was one of the premier blocking tight ends in the game his entire career and not just a “blocking tight end who doesn’t catch many passes.” Warren is, in my opinion, the best blocking tight end to ever play the game and would be in the Hall of Fame if it wasn’t a complete joke.
Dierdorf threw shade to Warren during Super Bowl XXII saying "he's not involved in their passing game at all" Truth be told, his hands weren't shitty, Thiesmann threw to him all the time, it was just with the emergence of Didier and later the Posse he wasn't needed as much...

Mr.Wolfe...Joe Gibbs literally spoiled us as Redskins fans/his first tenure as coach stands out as one of the best in league history...that's why you and me are still watching memorable games under his watch
@@ralstonmathews3543 Best coach ever in my opinion. Won 3 world titles with 3 different starting qb’s (4 if you consider that Schroeder played almost half the games in 87). An incredible feat that will never be equaled. He also helmed the single greatest football team of all time, i.e., the 91 Washington Redskins.
As the years go by, the stats change. 0:02 - 0:08 8 if you add '93 Cowboys, '98 Broncos, and '04 Patriots. 0:13 - 0:16 Make that 6: Johnson, Shanahan, and Belichick. 0:36 - 0:41 Also Aikman, Elway, and Brady So as of 2021, 8 teams, 7 quarterbacks, and 6 coaches have back to back Super Bowl Championships.
What a miserable rut the redskins were in at that point. To think that they made the playoffs and won a post season game with such a merciless litany of injuries and Frankenstein offensive line.
@@jamesgurksnis4392 Regressed is a bit of an understatement I think. The 1991 Redskins are considered by a fair amount of people to be the greatest team of all time. They brushed teams aside with devastating efficiency and very nearly went undefeated. To go from that to a team that had a tremendously difficult time scoring points and barely finished above .500 is an almost complete shift in fortune.
@@MaximusWolfe the team just got old unfortunately and it sucks they haven’t recovered since. So many mistakes made by Casserly in the 90’s (outside of Mike Ditka giving us their entire draft plus a 1st rounder in 2000 for Ricky Williams), Snyder and his puppet Vinny in the 2000’s and Snyder and Allen in the 2010’s.
@@Maggot-ml3vz The redskins died the day Snyder bought the team. He systemically ripped the heart out of that team, fanbase and city. In other words, they ceased to be the redskins long before the name change became official. Yeah, Casserly was no Beathard.
@@MaximusWolfe They were actually two plays from finishing 11-5. Eric Allen knocked what would have been the winning touchdown pass away against the Eagles. A week later in the final game of regular season, the Redskins had the Raiders beat with about a minute left but Raiders completed a 50 plus yard desperation pass that put them first and goal and led to the winning touchdown a couple plays later. If Allen doesnt knock Rypiens touchdown pass away at the last second and Raiders dont complete that improbable long pass, the Redskins are 11-5. Everybody acts like the Redskins were terrible in 92 but they were actually much better than they should have considering all the injuries. They were truly miserable in the red zone. That was what really killed them. They had a chance to beat 49ers in the playoffs but their terrible red zone efficiency finally ended their season.
Talk all you want about the injuries, but this has to have been Rypien's worst game of his life. Dierdorf fawned over what a great defense the Saints were, yet all three posse members were wide ass open for TDs at one point in this game and Rypien couldn't hit the broad side of a barn.
