@@mike-gt8yo man your comment is late lol those prayers were discarded months ago. My opinion has changed as well. It really depends on what the prayers actually do. A lot of the DT2 planned prayers were useless or imbalanced
I don't get why they just don't start a "prayer test world" and just try shit out. Who cares if things don't work, are overpowered or just are boring. Then at least we have results instead of useless theories
No, you are missunderatnding how "neutralize works". It in fact does not increase damage, only consistency, thats because you can hit a 0 and miss dealing a 0. This stems from the fact that the hit rollt from 0 to "Maxhit". People had the exact same issue with "soul stealer" in leagues. Reminder this is only going to be true before the combat rebalance. Jagex has planned to change this behaivor to where it rolls damage from 1 to "Maxhit".
Should of just brought back cursed prayers or made the alignments snippets from cursed prayers. we know what they were and could of voted on that. Easy to balance too since they were in the game years ago. I miss my turm zerk with all chaotic weapons. EOC ruined it.
They should just get rid of the poll system and just add things. So many people are scared of change. The only thing that broke rs3 is the eoc. Leave that out obviously but add other content for sure.
Here's a more detailed explanation of why I am voting no: First, I don't like the thematics of multiple prayer books. I think they are very unlikely to lead to interesting player choices, and I think they will be tedious to change to the optimal book between every activity. Second, I think that players will, if the prayers are as numerically clear as these ones proposed are, lead to very easily calculated optimal playstyles, which will either feel mandatory or feel bad if you are doing something you know is suboptimal. Third, I think that prayers that affect the performance of other players are a HUGE RED FLAG, as every time your play affects the performance of other players leads to massive toxicity in other mmorpgs. These should be avoided PERIOD. Here's what I like about a few of these: the option to respond to poison, bleed, venom, disease, and other ailments using the prayer book are really interesting to me, and I'd like to see these further explored. However, the current implementation would lead to an optimal playstyle including becoming venomed by zulrah before each raid, which would obviously be incredibly tedious and annoying, but social pressure would ensure that many players actually do this if prayers are passed as-is. I think further exploration of ailments and mitigation for those ailments is necessary before this kind of complexity can be introduced in a healthy manner for the game.
Couldn't agree more, except maybe the poison part. I'd personally only want that if it could be used by players learning new content to avoid a mechanic in exchange for not turning on piety for example. Just to make a boss or raid easier initially whilst you learn it. A prayer you turn on at certain bosses and mean we never deal with poison, bleed, burn etc again would be a bad thing imo. The part that frustrates me though is you have very well put the issues with these prayers immediately after release, I can see it, you can see it, most players can. So why doesn't someone at Jagex?@@Spywaredev
