New OVERWATCH Player Reacts to All OVERWATCH Cinematics (Part 3) 

Sigma is a very kind person, you can tell by his voice lines. Talon is manipulating his broken mind into violence, he thinks that talon is taking care of him.

Blackwatch was a group that acted in the shadows, but they were part of Overwatch. Like for example if they wanted to keep a mission out of the news, they'd send Blackwatch, which was formed by Moira, Genji, Reyes (now Reaper), and Cassidy.

The reason MeCree was renamed to Cassidy is because he was named after one of the developers of the game. Then the Blizzard scandals happened, where the real McCree was revealed to be sexually inappropriate with women, so they changed his name ingame to Cassidy so he isn't named after the real guy anymore. I believe his McCree name was from the beginning mentioned to be an alias, then after the scandal made a Comic or something where he takes on his real name, Cassidy.

Sigma is relatively a good guy, he's just being brainwashed and controlled by people like Moira. But unlike Moira he's has no evil nature and is generally a pretty friendly and nice guy, hence Sombra actually defends him and tells Moira to stop messing with his head, in game voice lines. (Because Sombra is also "not completely evil")

I'm not sure if anyone's explained it yet but those random cutscenes you were seeing are from old event missions. In Overwatch 1, every year we'd get an event called "the Archives event" and they'd give us a new mission.

Blackwatch was a subsection of Overwatch, kinda like their black ops division. A freshly cyborged Genji, Moira, Reaper, and Cassidy were on the team. After Overwatch disbanded, Genji and Cassidy went their separate ways while Reaper and Moira left to create Talon, the organization in the present who also includes Sombra, Widow, and Sigma

Baptise was referring to Talon when he said making deals with the devil, the evil organization that opposes Overwatch.He join at one point then left but you don’t leave Talon alive. In game Reaper says that to Bap if there both in game together on the same team. Also Moria, Reaper, Widowmaker, Sigma, Doomfist, and Sombra are apart of Talon.

yeah they originally named cassidy after jesse mccree who was a blizzard worker who turned out to be a sex offender. they created a lore reason for his name being changed to cassidy i think mccree was his secret identity

Blackwatch was the covert division of Overwatch. They carried out the missions that Overwatch didn't want to be traced back to them (black ops). Moira and Reaper later left or were pushed out of Overwatch and then joined Talon, a terrorist organization founded by Doomfist.

I would recommend watching a full lore recap there good to learn background information

When overwatch fell black watch emerged, then they split Moira and reaper going to Talan and genji and cas hiding and becoming mercenaries till overwatch came back

Basically the intro to OW1 with winston making the call to bring overwatch back together is the start of the story and each hero's cinematic is what they were doing either before overwatch disbanded or after and the story starts up again in the OW2 cinematic where it's just winston, mei and tracer with winston saying "if you're going to show now would be a good time" taking place in modern time after he made the call to bring them back together which is why OW2 was supposed to start with the pve mode to dive deeper into the story of overwatch

blackwatch was a black-ops subsection of overwatch, doing secret things that would hurt overwatch's public eye if they were found out. everyone on blackwatch was an overwatch agent, and while genji and cassidy stayed good on overwatch's side, moira and reyes went evil and went to talon

Kiriko’s mother taught the two sons of Sojiro Shimada everything they know about using a sword. As Kiriko’s mother taught Hanzo and Genji, Kiriko tagged along to their lessons and also learned how to fight herself.

blackwatch was a secret strike team, a part of overwatch basically handling the dirty work, except for reyes (later reaper) everyone was an ex criminal or controversial figure who possessed powerfull skills, but in that mission bc reyes killed that biusnessman, the world learned of blackwatch and contoversy begun, later on genji found peace, mccassidy is still wanted but doing fine, and moira with reaper joined talon - a seperate organisiation

That thing that Cassidy threw wasn’t a grenade. You see, back ij overwatch 1, he didn’t have a grenade, but a flashbang that stunned you. It was replaced with a magnetic grenade in overwatch 2

Black watch was black ops unit of overwatch that was created and lead by Reyes aka Reaper and consisted of him, Moira, Genji and Cassidy. They were not evil they were just doing of the book operations to protect people. This was main point that made Soldier: 76 and Reaper to basically argue about because they had different view on how stuff should be sorted out. After Swiss HQ of OW exploded Reyes was mortaly wounded but Moira saved him with rapid regeneration. Problem is he is also decaying all the time as a side effect so even though he can regenerate wounds he is constantly generating wounds by himself which is also the reason he can make a smoke form where he basically makes his body decay into a mist just to regenerate into full body again. Now Talon as an evil unit of current events consists of Doomfist who is basically the leader, Reaper, Widowmaker, Sombra (more because it's benefitial for her), Sigma (he is being abused) and Moira. Oh and Baptiste used to be in Talon but he run away to Overwatch.

The reason why his name is Cole Cassidy now is because he used to be named after a blizzard employee named Jesse mccree but that Jesse mccree pulled a bill cosby so they changed his name

Wastelander and The Plan Cinematics Blackwatch was a part of Overwartch, they did the dirty job, but the mission where Gabriel Reyes (Reaper) kill that guy in Venice was the begining to the end of Overwatch, some members of Blackwatch join Talon, the real evil organizartion, others remain "good" like Cassidy and Genji, if you want to know more about the story, you should read the comics in Overwatch website

I want to help clear it up, black watch is like black ops, they were the secret arm of overwatch, they are also the reason overwatch was disbanded because they did a lot of shady stuff for sake of good, but when Gabriel Reyes killed that guy, they became known to the world and made all of overwatch look bad, and since no government controls them, the world turned on them, similar to the avengers of the watchmen (who watches the watchmen = who watches over overwatch, both signs are used in those stories). Talon is a newer group made from what was left of black watch, including people and resources that they took when they were disbanded, these guys are pretty much completely bad, they have their separate reasons but it's not like black watch where they are good guys who sometimes have to be bad... The omnics are the robots, they gained autonomy from the government's of the world and later attacked humanity after some stuff happened and they didn't like how we reacted, cuz we basically decided to shut them down (similar to the matrix, I robot, and terminator, we didn't treat them fairly because we see them as less than humans) and null sector is then new robot faction that has gathered after the omnic war was won by humans...there is a new character coming out next season who is at least a general for null sector, if not the one who started the whole faction, also a character who seems to be bad but really he's fighting for his people aka the omnics, he even studied and trained with zenyata under the same master, he just came to a different conclusion (literally just like Malcolm x vs Martin Luther king jr... Or t'chala vs kilmonger). And people were mad because all that is said in the actual videos you watched LMAO, the ana origin you were watching was her writing to her daughter pharah, which she said lol.

The black watch was the black operations team of overwatch, everything that implied an under-the-radar, or non-legal operations was done by them. For that, no one had to know they existed. But after that mission, their existence became known, and overwatch had to answer questions about it. As Mcree said, it was from there that Overwatch began to fall.

Yeah, McCree's grenade used to be a stun grenade not a sticky grenade. His name was McCree they changed it because of a pretty dumb reason considering it's a fictional character. You can google the details yourself but basically they changed it to avoid offending anyone or risking twitter backlash, but really it's kinda dumb because he's a fictional character and is his own entity. He could be called Hitler and it would still have been relatively okay considering it's just a name. But I mean we live in the age where Disney renamed a Star Wars ship from 1980 to be less offensive even though it was meant to be a dark and gritty name because it was the ship of a villain. So they renamed it to Boba Fett's Starship instead of Slave 1.

If you've watched Naruto the best way to explain Blackwatch is that compared to Overwatch they're the shadow Hokage which leads the anbu black ops and does all the dirty stuff while Hokage/Overwatch is the face and does what everyone sees.

The other group is named Talon, a criminal (terrorist) organisation which is trying to cause chaos and gain more power behind the scenes

After finishing these cinematics I would recomend to watch video caled Complete History and Lore of Overwatch or some else there is more similar videos. It is good and short summary.

It took you to Echo's to realise the 'robots' went bad? Not the 15 cinematics before you talking about and taking place during the 'Omnic crisis'.. You know.. The event when the 'robots' went bad. Do you actually pay attention or just focus on 'cool aspects of the hero'??

Still kind of disturbed by how Kiriko pronounces kitstune when saying her ult in english, like I know she's speaking English and so pronouncing it with an American accent but still like... *what* ,why not just pronounce it correctly instead it's kind of weird like personally I wouldn't pronounce words from my language differently when I am speaking English, hell no, I am not going to adapt to their wrong pronunciation of my language that's just weird.

You should really watch the video "complete history and lore of overwatch" by TSN, it gives you some more information about the history in order to fill in the gaps that the shorts and origin stories don't explain
