We both know that the paragon system needs to be overhauled made more streamlined but I am not sure how. As far as the other information that was leaked I highly doubt it will be true. It makes no sense to change all other thing with paragon. A paragon squish is not something that even Diablo 3 would consider, that is why I think that Immortal will not have that. The part about it that made absolutely no sense at all is to force warband activity in order to unlock new difficulties if that is what it is saying. The same is true for difficulty levels.

New player here and here are a few of my thoughts: 1. The paragon tree is not overwhelming… if they simply allow us to select a certain amount of abilities from each unlocked tree then I think it’s a good change for everyone not just new players. Simply removing, (or what is called condensing) trees will be bad and lead to complaints. 2. The server level isn’t what is frustrating to me as a new player… trying to get help unlocking difficulties because they’re connected to Helliquary bosses is. The most frustrating thing BY FAR is having to do battlegrounds with level 1300+ people that simply one shot us, makes me not even want to play it and makes it very hard to learn when you’re dead for forever because you’ve been killed so many times… and this isn’t even getting into the abuse you take from high levels who are mad we actually joined a battleground without being server level or higher. Random dungeons are also nearly impossible because no one runs them at our difficulty. I think they should address these issues and make overall game changes to help everyone not what they think new players want. Here are a few examples of changes that could be made to help me as a new player: - Get rid of the Helliquary boss requirements to advance difficulty; they already have a cr requirement to meet and a penalty if not met, leave it at that. - Try to match new lower level people together in battle grounds, (I assume it does this already), if they can’t create that team after 5 or 10 minutes let new player go against bots so they can complete basic achievements and start to learn basic tactics. - Make random dungeons able to be completed solo or with a team of 2 so we don’t get left out because no one wants to do them at our lower difficulty. - Maybe make a mentor system with nice rewards so strong people are rewarded for helping new guys. All this mashing together levels and paragons doesn’t do anything for me except give me another system learn after learning the old system.

U make sum really good points. I'm a level 683 and I had to make friends in order to get my stuff up. The hellquairy issue is definitely up to debate. They need to matchmake players to their paragon level. And they have to simplify the clan stuff as well.

Having been in this game from day0, and venturing into Alpha and Beta.... Having helped so many players that started more recently.... The slowly increasing level weekly cap, penalization for blasters, and the Catch up mechanics for sub-paragon lead to an inevitable crunch like that. And so many people that don't understand the nuances of the game. Ive seen comments about newer players at Server Paragon Level that are still lacking Combat Rating and stats. As to the Difficulty crunch, in reality they do that already, with people instanced cross difficulty anyway (dungeons, lairs, ans open world)

There are pics on the China site that shows characters at lvl 299. That could possibly corroborate the difficulty/Paragon squish. Especially since 299 isn't the high end of any difficulty (like 1000-1199) BUT emding in '99 is indictive of the top end levels for difficulties if you look at the current ones.

They do fix many bugs along the way while they simultaneously bring in new content. No piece of software will ever be completely bug-free. They've fixed many of the bugs that were most annoying to me. The question for you is what bugs do you find most annoying that you would like fixed? Just saying "fix bugs" doesn't add anything to any discussion.

Lets see how much secondary stats and damage the new tree will add. Right now we can get 6800 dmg from paragon not scaled by resonance. Thats round about 40% dmg of a 0 Res, 34% of a 1k Res, 30% of a 2k Res, 26% of a 3k Res, 24% of a 4k Res, 22% of a 5k Res, 20% of a 6k Res 18.5% of a 7k Res 17.3% of a 8k Res, 16% of a 9k Res or still 15% of a 10080 Res players damage. Or in simple terms about the damage 2440 Resonance add.

i've been thinking about this update since last huge update, cut off the difficulty so they can add more afterward. sounds good for this game's future but has a great risk cuz they have to design it very carefully or OG players will start to quit due to boredom cuz it will feels like we're back to first time playing the game

I think it will be like this Normal paragon Hell 1 to hell 4 combine Hell 5 to hell 8 combine Inferno 1 to 6 combine If this is the case it will be down to 4 paragon mode only

Im glad theyre changing all that. It was starting to get a bit crazy with all the difficulties and the whole paragon was useless to me, TH for everything pve, gladiator for pvp, never changed it, i just hope the new one will make more sense

I saw you keep wondering why there are 799's in the game and the number is growing. I can assure you the majority of them are not stucked if they had been there for weeks or months, they mostly know what to be done to proceed to Inferno. I myself has a 799 for months now, I defeated Phangwrth H8 dozens of time also and yeah, there is a way to intentionally stay 799. It's for you to figure out why they there. Anyway interesting to see if this rumors are true, will they still retain the current tier system and we able to stay at new "Hell 1", or 799 characters will now be forced to join the main league? And also that means if we here to stay, our gaps with current players will be closer. I bet the new difficulties will be either H4 or Inf1

Yes. until they rework the catch-up mechanic, it's beneficial to stay at 799 to upgrade gear faster. Otherwise paragon level gets way ahead of upgrades, resulting in a weak, underdeveloped character at max lvl.

@@davidvondoom2853 come to think of it, it will probably the same. 799 will be squished to somewhere like para 99 (hell 1), then we will progress up untill 299, which currently equivalent to para 1399. Then they will probably release a new difficulty (since we will have two more HQ boss sets), with 299 being the new lower league. Momentarily, we will catchup with other players, provided we have been prepping ourselves with mystery gears and reserved exp. It would be fun smashing those players with high para but lower ranks for a while

I came back and started playing again at p400 or so a few months back. Climbed all the way to server paragon, now in I5. I really enjoy the long progression this game has, that you can't get other in other games. Catering too much to boost people to the end has its drawbacks.

As a returning player with the launch of Tempest I will be able to catch up with the Paragon server even more quickly and I do like this. So I'll go back to play the game with the new class🌪🌊

Wish they fix bug instead of changing stuff that is fine. Im not saying the paragon system is great in any way but its not buged or broken. MAKE shadow war fun again. MAKE tower battle relevant. STOP lying about battleground matchmaking and just scrap the system and remake it. NERF secondary stats in battleground. Most of those 7k+ secondaries stats players are cheaters and its not fair for players who spent TON of money just to feel so weak compare to others.

I use several of the, brawler for dungeons and raids, survivor for terror rifts, warden for bg, gladiator for vault, etc. If they change, hope the6 have similar options.

I just started 4 days ago, I’m paragon 647 and am almost to hell 7. Now I’ll have to learn a new system since the gear for my build drops in higher inferno levels lol

If... IF... the Difficulty levels are in fact being condensed in some fashion, remember that Blizz has hinted at the supposed next 3 levels as being called Abyss instead of Inferno. Therefore, perhaps there will be a single Normal, Hell, Inferno and then Abyss levels respectively. And with this new class being water & wind themed, Abyss seems more likely of a new difficulty name after seeing those hints. Seeing how Blizz handles CR ratings with potential Difficulty re-structuring will be interesting. Not to mention, I believe in that Dev's video a month or so back, they hinted at CR not being focused on much and will be of lesser importance soon when they announced Eternal Legendary gear in the video. That could also explain why the new Eternal Legendary gear lacks in CR for the class-specific magic attributes, which doesn't help right now since the game is still CR focused on PvE events. But perhaps that's what's coming of a change with Equipment Upgrades + Paragon System changes. I personally think the current Paragon Tree mapping isn't bad per se, plus as another has mentioned, we all have grown accustomed to how it works... although I will recognize that certain nodes with their specialty skills are almost never used by many who are at server paragon level with all nodes opened, therefore wasted paragon points are used up on those skill node squares just to get to the always-active buff circles. But, maybe reduce or restructure how to fill-out each node could possibly be welcomed. That, and/or the opportunity to select more than 1 node. Another possible way I could see a condensing of the nodes might could work is, have a select few that will always be (a couple or so for PvP focused use, then same for PvE, then maybe 1 or 2 more for a blending of the PvP & PvE), but rather than every so often eventually add another node with whatever specialty it is supposed to provide, instead just add more to each node progressively... or something along that route. What I will say that irks me about the current Paragon Tree system is... Armory loadouts. For those who have multiple loadouts for various this n that gameplay, also have to re-work the entire Tree to what one feels best of a match for them for each loadout to take advantage of the buff circles. THEN, when new nodes do come around every 3 or so months... have to reset and re-build again for each loadout to try to better optimize. Yes, Blizz did add the QoL addition to Quick-fill for re-sat nodes to make it a few seconds faster, but it is still time consuming overall every 3 months or so. Who knows really. Speculation is rampant leading up to anything of what's to comes, but one thing we can count on is... we will find out when we find out lol

Here’s what I see: Hell 1= h1-8. Paragon level=1-99. Cr? Poss: starting-11310 Hell 2= i1-i3. Paragon level=100-199. Cr? Poss: 14450-23000 Hell 3= i4-i6. Paragon level 200-299. Cr? 26000-33300 Now CR could be new as well. Hmmm

I hope its flse leaks, im grinding all those levels each week im 17/20 levels above paragon level, im 1332 atm.... All my progress will be gone makes no sense, maybe new evels after 1400 start again from 1 but red color like prestige could be cool, cause my progress will be counted and carry over to a new system while others who still behind will still have green levels

I've been playing for a year now as of May 10th. I'm having a blast, but I'm struggling to level up in CR because of the lack of upgrade materials we get in the game. 😤 My gear is mostly sitting at 26. I hope they make some changes to the upgrade system, maybe make it cheaper. #UpgradeStruggles

Consolidating a bunch of things is probably a good idea. And I love the idea of combining paragon trees. Takes a while to scroll through them in a hurry on mobile

Fix warbands and somehow combine that with clans, fed up having to navigate between the two, makes no sense. Diff levels and paragons im sure can use a massive overhaul but my issue is warband activity being a hurdle

I want Different/More Goblins like they added to Diablo 3. I would like to also see Fishing changed somehow? I Loved it SO MUCH in WoW, but on here it just feels Boring, Tedious, & Unrewarding.

I made sure to read through all the responses before posting exactly that. The only thing more simplistic than self explanatory would be the game automatically fills your tree for you. His claim that new players might find it daunting is nonsensical because they start with way fewer trees and as they level up they should also be developing their understanding of the interactive components of the game. Soon it will be log on come back in an hour or two and see how your character is doing. 🙄

Who cares if a new player comes along and cries about to high of a paragon to catch up. What is this third grade where everyone gets a trophy.... You want to play with the big boys/girls, then put in the same amount of work they did to get there.

If this is legit, there's so much more being left out. How do we retain the same amount of stats we get from paragon now, if in this new system our lvl is being reduced to 250'ish, implying we have way fewer points to spend in the available paragon trees? What happens to all of our equipment and their combat ratings that correlate to each new difficulty lvl, if we're going from 15 difficulties down to 4? Is there a giant jump from 1 difficulty to the next to go from 0 CR up to 36k where we are now in just 4 difficulty changes, or is everything being immensely compressed? I think it could be a good change for the overall health of the game, but there's just soooo many other changes that would have to take place with this. Entirely revamped systems all over that could cause veteran players to leave, in their attempt to make the grind seem less daunting for new players. Hard to say what will happen. It's a major update coming. Could very well be part of it. But we're only seeing the tip of the iceberg then.

In my opinion, the entire combat system has been broken for a long, long time. A lot of the perceived balance problems are due to combat ratings and secondary stats more than actual class issues. Hopefully the whole thing is getting a revamp.

If they rework all numbers first they do ist cutting the combat rating and steal a little from all but honestly if they cut the game and paragon lvl too I guess ill stop playing . And jump over to PoE should come soon on mobile but hopefully it’s just not true and this won’t happen.

Its an easy answer, if you're a greedy talking head, because its unrealistic to an IRL monetization model when you are trying to farm players for cash. I doubt that. Why would Bliz cap players progress and start pushing players away. They will probably just start something new that isn’t paragon once you reach a certain paragon lvl.

It’s a “useless” and idiotic system. There’s no variety. Why game sucks, same as D3, always just one meta-build per class, outperforming all. Support builds aren’t welcome or useful, unless very high end content and even, only a solo unplayable off spec only to support your team in 4 man greater rift in d3. And although all or many classes had support builds (even witch doctor), it ended up becoming only 1-viable support builds (monk and sader in d3), this is just idiotic and annoying, healers/support basically useless or not needed…? Why even create those specs builds? (Why only 2 classes are welcome and outperforn all others, like a WD support, which early stages of d3, was welcomed in parties, used and viable…? Bad game design! 🤮 will never be anything like original diablo. Suspense, athmosphere, fear and inpact of dying, instead just ressurecting major losses/impact (in WoW, 20-40players need to get rebuffered, reset, wait cd’s before another boss attempt (death in game has impact), same in WoW, but there death is meaningful, you don’t wanna die, it can wipe all raid (if maintank), so there’s an impact if you loose out on high dps’ers you cannot kill the boss in time. Diablo has been cheesed down (except high gr push), to a level where an overpowered and geared player can just cheese what should be done as 4 (5 in wow, in mythic raid level dungeons, 1 player, even geared cannot just cheese a boss alone, there’s ways, but needngearnand skill, you can finish off, could in WoD mythic fury tanking, but you needed knowledge and skill, live your class, know every geak inch, have flasks food buff up and haste, rage, attack power or “crit”? (Not sure these existed) potions at hand, so as dos fury WoD mythic dungon tank, which only workednwith skilled and knowledgable geared players, because you played fury in def stance, needed to do stance dancing and marcros. You needed your blue or epic feared healer camerades and dos to finish dungeon, if you can trick 2-5 million ho yourself fast and stand long, before and AoE attack needing heals, bypass with armor pots as a dos tank, just to live boss, to see him die. But this is geek stuff, almost impossible to many and also unknowledgeable become angry (healers), because they do not know it can work. And stand alone kill the boss, panic button and macros required, you cannot single handly push and recalibrate all this manually in boss fight and use all these abilities, I took over tanking like this when tanks died in mythic dungeon boss fights in raid doesn’t work. (It did in classic-wotlkf for brief periods).

And what does this have to do with paragon, well they failed to a good extend, because all melee and all ranged use same trees all time. Paragon has become more a statstic, then a playstyle difference spec build. All players are maxed out at max paragon level in the statstic stats (round skills), weaver is best build for dps for all melee almost barb, bk, sader. It’s again idiotic, cheesed down, no play-style difference allowed-viable, no variety, boring and unecesssary or overly complicated, as many stuff in this game. Only thing which keep players in this game. The cult of diablo and demons and lore, universes ofntheir games. D3 is done way better, it’s all just the gear and as useless and unusefull (no meaningfull difference for olaystyle innanclass, not viable, why melee classes need 2 ranged trees, they’ll only use as statstic, as mages and ranged with all melee builds?) as these paragon are, they could simply remove it make one stat build-tree for everyone class… (leave the rest to gear). The developper of the gane was an idiot. In d3 the paragon being account way more intelligent andnpractical. So you can keep your gear on the char. And paragon is inherited power you farmed on a main charachter. Also, yes you need to level that one other char and cannot swap simply between all classes, yes the idea was good and fun, but badly made and realized. It sinpky doesn’t give individual feel, or special/different feel or skill a char is good at, as maybe intended. In other online action RPG, one three for all (like legacynhoradrim tree, secret thing), but in other game the trees are specific to the class, mage, warrior,… it’s not cheesed and numbed down. And if you go down one way, water-ice element mage, you cannot have all of fire explosion tree. There indy deceloppersndoing better. 💩🙈😕 but notnhaving money to achieve developping of their games. Activision, blizzard have millions and deliver bull… but in polished graphics…? Not even horadrim tree has individuality or difference… (it’s always thensame stats!!! Not intelligence or strength, rage/mana. It armor, arp and health for all. 🤮💩🙄 just so you send money on because else you cannot achieve max iut bulls.. stats and gems. 🤮 If the game was good, you needed to ourchase it and you’d pay gametime and not microtransactions. 🤮🤷 I’d rather pay gametime, have a good game. And not all this cheese microtransaction-fraud?

In old WoW, Draenai, shamans and who had a mana bar, when elemental or healer, a rage bar in enhance, that’s difference and individuality. Blizzard isn’t good in achieving that anyways, same why arms warriors almost disappeared. Blizzard has balance and difference tolerance problems. They just nakeneverything thensame and numb it down, so it’s easy to balance. They went that path in WoW also, why why enhance use mana, since MoP and no more rage. 👎 🤮🙄 Which brokenanlot of stuff, behind curtain also, because there was implemented tables and stats and mob reactions. All this not worked correctly anymore, until WoD nerf, because Wotlk Enhance shaman was a masters’s class, and death knights. You needed to master the class, not mastery stat/attribute. And when you mastered the classes, you could carry your team/group, through mistakes or a tank death. During MoP, I started shaman there, unfortunately, we noticed, trying enhance without the specific gear, alnost unplayable, that when they gave them nana without rage, because playing enhance was greatly about balancing mana with rage, and what skillset to use at what moment, all removed and numbed down meanwhile, player not needs to worry anymore. I noticed it end MoP, because when I was partying for open world, I couldn’t generate the shaman rage, to get rotation rolling and playable, until higher gear, for MoP, after Wotkk, they already made these changes to shamans for example and then MoP-WoD, all haste mecanicnand breakpoints were removed nit became and entirely dofferent gane mechanical wise, why they needed to do this WoD nerf, because ikd mechs and mobs tables, cluttering in the back, core of the game. DI, it’s fun, but useless gane which shouldn’t exist, nothing really new or innovative, still ok and fun, but way to expensive for free to play… if we wanna have fun quickly… even WoW is easier, with alk it’s possibilities. DII Was good, Diablo was epic, DIII was ok. Immortal is a cheese of DIII for phones. It’s annoying, cluttered with unnecessary difficulty and micro purchases needed for in game power. Without these orbs, not possible to play. Micropurchases need to be kept in cosmetics (HOTS, WoW), it ruins any game. Because it isn’t a game anymore, it’s business over gambling addiction… A game, every player needs to start on same level, no matter if video or board game and not to be able to purchase game power or stuff inngame others cannot afford, so it’s inpossible to become as strong, or they need to play years-months, for what anotherone can buy in 30-60days…? I have bought amythic raid boss kill with my gold in WoW, but gold I earned and farmed myself from years of playing, crafting etc. Not and mever from gokdsellers. In DI, boizzard, activision is the goldseller themselves. The real gold in DI are orbs. Gold is useless, anybody can farm gold himself. Orbs, can only be bought from shopnfornreal money and orbs=most inpactful ganepower and awakening, legi gems, etc. 🤮🤮🤮

1300P levels is a lot to catch up? Mate came two weeks ago and is already inf 6 ready with missing just 500CR. Game is legit 0 IQ requirement for new players to catch up to current difficulty BY SIMPLY JUST PLAYING.
