Ive been watching your guides, some coaching sessions, and general thoughts as well as mentality lectures. When I started playing ranked more serious 2 years back, I was 2k archon and had not played gaming seriously for years, being a father and having really only time in the evenings. My goal was to hit immortal just to prove to myself that I had some skill. Back when I played as a teen in the middle east, the internet connection was very crap and it was almost impossible to play online properly. I can say thanks to your input and content that I finally hit immortal, just following your concept n theory crafting by playing 1-2 hours in the evenings. Illu literally dont care about the change. As long as safety bubble is up when illu is spawned (not something like inherit summoners bubble status) then this item is still goto. It provides 300 - 500 effectibe hp on illu.
the best thing about saftey bubble is damage wont cancel your blink. im still going to buy it on blink heroes no matter what especially if theres a veno on the enemy team
He's strong in guardian-crusader-archon. Use to be so strong he'd be picked as a core, now he's usually picked as pos 4 but probably the strongest pos 4 in those brackets.
Hey BSJ, have you ever considered taking Hood into the pos 3 role in the off-lane? The mageslayer nerf, I think, makes it so that she's a bit less viable as a 4/5, but her potential as a 3 continues to be unchanged, and generally underestimated. She's able to make plays with tanky pos 4s e.g. ogre very easily, she scales very well with items, and can flash-farm (and potentially split push without really showing in lane) with a simple maelstrom pick-up to keep ramping up the damage in team fights. As a 4, to mageslayer debuff means her acorn shots ability to spread de-buffs isn't as valuable, but it doesn't really change her own ability to tank blademails as a 3. Gleipnir buff is just free cash to her, she can still rush daedalus after maelstrom (and might be more enticing now on average with MS nerfs anyway), a lot of "go hard blink" heroes are a bit weaker with helm nerf. I'm legit thinking that the cancer rabbit's got what it takes to shine in pos 3 nowadays. What am I missing, what's your thoughts?
I am in 4200 mmr and I feel like Bristle is so underrated because people don't understand that most items and mechanics work clunky with him. If games don't end in 20 minutes from all lanes lost I feel like I can do a lot with this hero. People still did not learn 7.34 patch lessons and buy vanguards on him, which in my eyes just ruins midgame timings too much. It provides block and a little hp with regen, but britsle's survivability stands purely on lifesteal. His E procks from lost health, not actual damage, so if damage is blocked by vanguard, shield rune or oracle ultimate he doesn't have E procks. I have won so many lanes from simple voodoo mask on lane into fast aghs. Voodoo mask is 1200 gold cheaper from vanguard and unlike vanguard allows to farm stacks of creeps with 0 effort. And it also is a lot better heal source in fights and lane. Also shroud is garbage on him, and worth buying only if bristle has mana problems. But I can't imagine a game where Bristle needs mana source, with aghs and bloodstone hero has 1500 mana minimum with spells that cost literally 0 mana. Remember, this hero doesn't need armour, shields, blocks, magic resist. This hero doesn't take a shit on increased damage on him and debuffs because in order to deal damage bristle has to loose flat health after all reductions to deal damage and overheal lost health. All he needs is to have no break on him. With upgrated voodoo mask, sange and kaya I feel like this hero will be even better for those who know how to use it. Just never buy vanguard or shroud on him. Boots into voodoo mask into phase boots (never had problems on bristle with mana after 15 minute mark, don't know why people buy arcane boots on him, hero can't spend more than 300 mana in 8 seconds with 1000 mana pool on 15 minute mark) into aghs into bkb/bloodstone (depending how much enemy team has control or tries to buy fast silver edge, bloodstone is stronger but bkb is reliable in fights) into sange+kaya (which is nuts for healing and damage on magic bristle) and top this with not so meme refresher on bristle to have sweet sweet 10 seconds of bkb and two aghs abilities.
@@milklover2830 14-6. 72% winrate in 55 matches in this month according to dotabuff. There is streak of 5 lost games in a row in these 20 games, last one with 20 minute stomp, three with 0 impact safe lane carry, in one of games I did rampage on 20 minutes and still lost. I don’t really see any reason to go harpoon over disperser on almost any hero now, unless you really need the stats. It’s basically the same as the harpoon active but with a dispell and 40 agility
SNY and Manta for our TB since both items got buffed. And for the slark going back on the old build SNY and Sabre, i also saw someone made a SNY and Rad on slark.
I don't think the nerf on Viper matters to much, level 4 nethertoxin has stayed the same and not much happens in a mid lane game before level 4, so it can just be spammed to get it levelled up quickly.
Funny that you mentioned the Witch Doctor x) In my games (high ancient) I see Witch Doctor about 80% of the games despite me nominating to ban it (I don't find it fun and it's very problematic against my favourite offlaners).
I ban it as well, he stands to gain to much from every coconut. Throw it as often as you can, and you get pretty good odds that you'll stun lock a few heroes.
Doom is going to be an ok pick if you think Alch will make an appearance considering that counters his kit. Just my 2¢. Thanks for the patch update I always look forward to these.
Can someone explain to me how change from 50% to 60% is 20%?? like maybe i am just idiot but if you recieve 40 instead of 50 dmg (from each 100) its just 10 dmg decrease... not 20...
One is relative to the current amount and the other is relative to 100 as a scale. 10 is 20% of 50 but only 10% of 100%. I think scaling things (especially perCENTS lol) to 100 (1000, 10,000, etc.) is always more useful but people's brains work different.
Before the patch with bkb you took 50% magic damage. After the patch you take 40% damage with bkb. Before patch 1000 magic damage would deal you 500 damage. After - 400. Damage is reduced by 20% if you calculate. Lets look into an exaggerated example. The difference between 98% of damage resistance and 99% damage resistance is that under 99% damage resistance you take twice less damage. You take 1%, but with 98% damage resistance - 2%, and 2% is two times more then 1%.
Imo The SnY buff means run-in heroes like troll, bloodseeker, and ursa are going to become viable. Since this patch is going twoards torret heroes like medusa and luna.
It seems like Morphling's item changes were mostly positive. (He was kind of a selfish vlads buyer anyway, and manta->khanda both got buffs.) He might just get shit on by Orchid meta though
Patch 7.35c seems like it's shaking up the meta in some unexpected ways. Can't wait to see how it affects my favorite heroes and strategies. Thanks for the breakdown.
Against illusion carries SK carry is crazy too. You just buy Aghs, Shivas and Bloodstone you become unkillable. There are some bad match ups tho. Like Sniper that can outrange his sandstorm, shard and pike shit. Tusk who can kick outta you from sand storm, Pudge, Magnus who can kidnap you. I have 65 percent winrate on SK with 100 games as mainly mid and offlane. Won a few games as a carry as well. BTW core SK doesnt need blink as long as you stay alive you deal damage, you chain stun
bsj just wanted to remind you Naix has an scepter that makes him disarm fully in the duration, i had a game as troll and i know traditionaly troll out carries naix but when he got the aghs and i ulted i cant do shit and had to get linkens for that. I think the matchup is somewhat different now?
Okay hear me out this might sound stupid, with the Dagon changes could u do like a pos 1 pudge with Dagon (only lvl 1) > aghs. U get the full 15% spell lifesteal and it speeds up ur farm.
I think Slark with harpoon is very underrated, I know that mage slayer is better early mid-game. But (I don't like to play Slark because I win alot with him so that puts me at higher mmr and I don't like it) But it's really good "rampage build" with ags, and now with S&Y as well... Not only heal but % speed as well + 25% status resistance. So if you wanna climb from low-mid MMR I think Slark is way to go and Lion will fall off so no more hex... E-shaker is not really played MB if Lesh gets some good build will be the problem, but still you can W him with mage slayer then that nerf will not really be much for Slark vs magic dmg. And manta buyers as well, Luna is still the best even against Slark, pike and shard, yes Luna is no1 if you don't play every day just remember to use manta to farm and push waves. It's easy to finish the game early cuz she pushes towers and rax really fast, I would still combo her with Venge (I like SD alot but IMO they have destroyed his Q, Q is just a save spell now) So swap is better and E is better and in team fights W is better. I think they should buff Mirana a bit if not stats buff AOE on Q and stun duration on W put it back on 5 sec on max range it is hard to do it anyway so if you do, it should be a kill. And I would like more gold and exp per kill, I am sick of the fact that one wave gives you more gold then a kill.

I think Orchid is no better than Mage slayer. Mage slayer reduce magic damage done...apply a debuff preventing blink users..you don't need to worry about having an hotkey for it... Venom offlane...idk man still feel squishy, you build around survival items still for the most part...lack of mobility self sustain( can't really waste Vessel charges defensively), gale is still awful; I would play it only if the move the ward talent to lv 10...the shard is still just a single target nuke and has a very short range+ low mobility on the hero it self, you need to full commit ( and die) or forget about it; I love this hero(I have a solid 56% W rate) but early to mid game, the slark, storm, lion, tide with anchor, doom, tusk, marci will shit on you ....fk
The Kobold change is interesting...maybe now us pos5 players won't have to double stack before we pull. One Kobold camp might wipe an entire single wave?
It's a powerful farming tool, a lot of mana regen, tankiness, and the damage helped clear stuff faster. The nerf was too much, either keep the damage the same (reduced duration but increased damage per second) or at least keep the magic resist the same. This item is dead. @@BenedictPenguin
@@nobshistoryengineering4421 the duration is still long enough for you to hit and rehit to maintain the debuff, it is still a relatively cheap item that gives what most hero wants (mana regen and stat for farming) while giving power to man fight early. Saying it's dead is just ridiculous it was bought by pretty much every core hero because it outshines any huge mid game item, now it's a reasonable situational item that you buy against a lot of magic burst heroes. Either choose echo if u want damage, mage slayer if u want survivability, orchid for control. The item is at a healthy place
@@BenedictPenguin I think it is death item. 200 more gold isn't small. 6 to 3 seconds is very big. Before that, in team fight, you debuff one enemy hero, then this hero does less bonus damage almost until end of the fight. Now it is freed after 3 seconds, can give full damage after 3 seconds. It gives less magic resistance, too.

Switching to Queen of Pain could be a refreshing change! She's a highly mobile and aggressive hero, capable of dealing significant burst damage and controlling team fights with her abilities. Her mobility with Blink allows for great initiation and escape, and her burst damage potential can be devastating in the right hands.
PA is already strong in last patch, I guess pros didnt use her as much ? Or because of scaling problem. Hmm wonder why the nerfs on Faceless Void but buffed PA when clearly PA is much stronger than FV in last patch. Also, why the fuck is Enigma nerfed ? Enigma deserves some love, like WTF VALVE
maybe from herald to low crusaider, she is good, the higher it gets, the more useless of the hero she gets. If you not gonna win your lain hard as pa you are pretty much Fked and your team is fighting 4v5 while you trying to get a BF in jungle before 20 min... kekw
