something that is slept on, that most people don't know, or don't check, is that the meme beam scales at 100%. this means that while using a magical staff, the damage on it is added to the beams damage before magical power at 100%, or in other words, if your using a epic magic staff 51.2% magical power with 5 true damage, the damage formula is... (12 + 8) x (1 + 0.512) + 5 / 0.2 seconds. the total being 7.048 damage per 0.2 seconds, or a total dps of 35.24 assuming you hit for a full second. this gets disgusting if you add in souls, because you would add 100% more magical power, however while that would be insane, souls arn't what make the beam good, its the 100% scaling with gear magical damage, that everyone has forgotten, or simply doesn't know about. that being said with the 5 souls, the new damage would be 11.048 per 0.2 seconds, or 55.24 total dps. with the equation of (12 + 8) x (1 + 1.512) + 5 / 0.2 seconds. it is also important to note that spell casting speed does nothing for this spell. it only changes the duration, not the total damage. it's coded differently than other channeling spells, and unlike life drain (which must do a certain number of ticks, and will just make them faster with cast speed), the meme beam doesn't have any specific tick requirement, and the time between ticks is fixed despite casting speed, so having a higher speed will make the spell shorter and do less damage.

They nerfed warlock for patch after patch. Removed 1 of 2 one-handed weapons. Gutted the class identity. Nerfed a key spell into the ground. AND NOW people play warlock, even those the only builds left as the meme builds

The meme beam will get the SDF hammer after someone kills his Rondel Fighter once. I'm willing to bet a TM lock with a Kris killed Rondel Daddy SDF once. He swore NEVER again, and stripped the warlock of all class identity aside from a soon to be nerfed meme spec..
Phantomize is broke, cute of pain does 2/3 of your health if you have a cheap warlock blue kit. Bolt does at least a quarter of not 1/3 your health per shot. All of that while they’re able to heal off mobs, you, and their meds. As well as a get out of jail free card that gives them additional ms and allows them to not be hit. Further more they can farm all the maps with ease if they want. AND they can use hood melle weapons. Like… come on… I’m a rogue main so I’m filthy. But holy Christ… please make this game more fun. As in, going against warlocks right now, is not fun. And all I see now, is warlocks.🙄
Update after watching the video this build destroys Druids, this and wizards and less so rangers They actually shadow nerfed rat in this patch aswell making the rat hit box a bit larger ( my assumption as to why the rat failed the window jump dieing to the trap)
See i think classes should be able to potentially kill kitted players with budget gear. Locks might need maybe some changes mainly to demon with weapon for trios. But other than that I'd rather see other classes brought up a bit instead. I think lock is more of a polished class performing well across the board while other classes just struggle outside of a niche.
Its fun and viable but not strong ! Like for exemple first clip against the rogue hittin shadow bolt would have done the same. And not even talking about any other class with a bow or any range option realy
I don't know if you ever kill one with the meme bean.... like yeah you kill a few but in all the meme bean kills they didn't had the course of pain tkng... so using the course of pain instead would had being much much better..(and you would need less mem-cap or could bring another useful spell)
If you have no experience playing this game and you are bad with warlock or have littel experience play this you can kill 90% of the classes with ease. Like 85% of the game is playing warlock it actually is toxic to the game nerf it gut it it's time for warlock yo see real darkness nerf after nerf unplayable please
the curse is a damage over time spell, so the initial cast of it having a larger damage increase, the reality of which is incongruent with your statement, puts someone in a threshold of death quicker for the other, more powerful warlock spells to be followed up after the curse. go do some pushups
Maybe you should stick to trios until you're a little better about choosing optimal engagements. Dimo did make a few videos about how the rock paper scissors works out if you'd like to learn how to better fight against warlock
