Really fun color and the nib looks gorgeous. My first Sailor had a music nib which had to be sent back to Japan because of hard starts and skipping issues, but I absolutely love it and now have two in the slim size. The Pro Gears Regular are so expensive here in Germany😮. But then my favorite nibs have always been stubs or italics even before I new what they were or that there were different nib sizes and grinds. Oh the disappointment when I had tried to replace my vintage Montblanc that (as I was told) was beyond repair and tried out a more modern Meisterstück which did not write remotely as nice or was as much fun as the one from my late grandfather. That was when I switched to ballpoint pens in the late nineties😂 Almost twenty years later when I started using fountain pens again because of the wonderful ink choices available today,I found out that my vintage pen had an oblique nib which still has an italic shape on modern Montblanc nibs. I also learned then that cleaning your pen can help when you have a leaky pen and the pen that had been stored away as a broken heirloom writes wonderfully again. 😊
This pen is so pretty! 🧡 The music nib looks very dynamic and interesting. I am loving the measurement details that you are including in these videos. 😍 I’m inspired to add some of these details to my pen log.
Love the color of this one! I don't have any music nibs - I'm not a fan of stub nibs and this looks pretty stubby. I do have a zoom nib on my 1911 standard and I love it. I would buy another in a heartbeat.
Me either! I have to hold it nearly perpendicular to the paper to get it to write. I’m going to see if Linda or Kirk can do something with it at the Chicago Pen Show in May.
I got a used 1911s with a music nib and it behave exactly like yours. Perhaps it's baby's bottom? My one bad Sailor experience. Since other commenters here have similar problems, I can't recommend this nib.
