Update from previous post. Finally got it sounding great, my hunting buddy was actually impressed, lol. Was able to challege a bull yesterday early morning here in Northern Idaho. Unfortunately he was down in a gorge. Best advice is to not over think about the bugle and chuckle, just do it. Word of caution, remove the mouth piece and keep secure as you move, It can come off. I turned mine upside down in my pack, mouth piece on the bottom.
New to this but it sounds horrible, idk what to do to get the pitch to sound right. The blue latex has a spot that’s not fully connected to the metal part, I’m wondering if that is making it sound shit
Start out growling while barely touching the latex with your lower lip. Once you get that noise going, increase your lip pressure and air volume to climb the staircase of notes. You may be blowing too hard which will distort the sound….

The “select-a-bull” from Rocky Mountain Hunting Calls is superior to this in every way but volume. This Phelps tube was a disappointment for me personally.
Not me! Outstanding product and I only have one measure for performance! Well done Phelps Calls, Jason, Dirk, all the crew! Will be the only call I ever need or want!
