I'm a Disabled Veteran and I guess the V.A. doesn't consider healty teeth part of good health overall. 5 years ago my teeth were ok. Not perfect by any stretch but ok. The Army pulled one of my molars in the 80's and never put a fake tooth in where the gap was. Over the years my teeth "floated" until there were visible spaces between them. Then I was put on medication that totally destroyed my teeth. Some became so loose I pulled them myself. Of the 19 teeth I have left 5 are so loose I could pull them too. I saw a Dentist and he took x-rays and determined that every tooth I have left....all 19 are erupted and need to be pulled. $249 x 19 = $4750.00. Immediate Dentures - Upper = $1645.00. Lower = $1630.00. Then Total Realign Upper = $410.00. Lower = $405.00. Lab = $500.00. The total for the whole procedure to the end result $9300.00. My thought is why the flat $249.00 per extraction when I know at LEAST half of my teeth will come out without surgery. Also I imagine I'll be getting less than the best dentures. The dentist did say he would hook me up with Mandibular dentures that have holes in the bottom that clip onto pins he will put into my jawbone. He said he'd do that for under $1000.00. So.....that's over 10K. That might as well be 100K for me. The V.A. comp. I recieve is peanuts and with my SSDI I get $1700.00 a month. This government should be ashamed of themselves. They'd rather invite Syrian Refugees here and care for them....many of whom HATE us than take care of the people that took care of them by serving in the Military. I just don't get it man!! This isn't a "political" post or anything like that. Just stating facts.

Yes agreed they will cover 21& Pregnant but not a 59 disabled person I have lost so much weight not being able to eat!yes they should be a shamed of there self!
I've just found this video after finding out that due to the slow rising gum disease I have and partly from genetics I am on my way to loosing my teeth and I am 25 years old. They are doing treatments to help to keep my teeth but in time I will loose teeth if not all of them. It's taken it's toll on me and it's made me feel all out of sorts and it's a huge shock. and I'm still struggling to come to terms with it no one understands unless they are going through this themselves. This has given me hope that I can live my life without having to worry or hide what's happening and continue to be myself.Thank you for this video x

I am so much older than you. As young person you deserve to be able to smile. Eat without any trouble. Truly hope you get too very soon. Me getting my teeth pulled at 50 and getting classic cheap dentures. Makes sense I have more years behind me. Then I do ahead of me. Young denture wearers should have affordable options. To get full mouth implants.

I'm having to decide on whether to go the dentures route or the partials route. I'm excited to get teeth but at the same time I've been depressed about it. I work in an assisted living, so I see dentures and bridges all day long.. but I don't know anyone my own age that has them. Just been very bummed. Then, I come across your video and you're so young and your teeth long amazing! You have put the excitement back into me about getting my teeth done. So, thank you for your videos! You are very blessed. Blessed over and over. My dentist didn't want to spend that time on me and pulled all of my back teeth instead of trying to save them. I guess when he saw me, he thought there was no money in it for him so just pull them. I was 30 and didn't stand up for myself. Worst mistake I ever made. I have been going to a dental school since 2012 trying to get into the dental implant program. They have given me crowns, braces, everything but implants. I am still hopeful I get in soon. Hope is all I have. Count your blessings.
Yes he does fabulous work and his patient's are so pleased, unfortunately most people can not afford them, if they wouldn't have offered them to you, do you think you could afford 45 thousand dollars to have them put in? There are so many of us that would love to have a beautiful smile and feel great about who we are but we simply can not afford 35 to 45 thousand dollars for the All on 4 bridges. I have spent so much money in the last 6 months (sound familiar ) with 4 root canals, 4 tooth extractions in the last 6 months, due to pregnancy at older age in life and here I am trying to make myself some DIY teeth because I simple do not have the funds to go back to dentist at this time. Your teeth look awesome, very happy for you and you are truly blessed to have them. Thanks for sharing your story, you look amazing. All on 4 bridges would be a dream come true!!! And not to have pain every day and to just be able to smile with my 2 year old little girl!!!
I would be so, so, so, so, incredibly thankful to have the first set. For so many people having dental health equals having the huge sums of money to pay for it. No money = bad teeth/no teeth = bad health.
You are right dental care is part of our health and should be covered. Until it is those such as yourself and me. Google low income dental care for adults or dentists that see patients on sliding scale. That way you can afford to have it pulled. I put the state and town I live in. I had one tooth pulled and whole mouth to go. Well what is left of the teeth I have. Dentures from the dentist too expensive for me. So I looked on Etsy they sell dentures. They send impression molds. I do them myself at home. Send them back and for $200. I will have full set of teeth. My husband has early dementia. He is doing well but gets confused. So I can’t leave him alone. So since I am not working. In 4-6 months of saving I will have dentures. In few years after I save little more I can get better set. Implants are expensive and require additional visits to the dentist to maintain. Even if by some got less greedy. Making them more affordable. Most of us will be wearing classic dentures. So I want to be happy as I can be with them.

What in the world is wrong with you people? This young lady has given everyone every bit of information she has! She is very informative and has helped people! If you need prices call the dentist and set up a consultation most time they are only the cost of a visit if not free, the dentist is the only one who can tell you a price! May I suggest you go back and watch her videos from her start! She really gives you so much needed information!

I thank her and God that she was able to report on the full spectrum of findings and results. one person talking on one product cannot give you a comparative perspective and since this lady was able to experience so many varieties I am now much better informed in addressing my circumstance. Melissa Durante the hate is because she won the first set FOR FREE and then had the nerve to COMPLAIN about the tiniest, most insignificant details like the exact color of pink on the gums, the width of the bottom teeth, the translucency of the white at the tops, etc and it pissed a LOT of folks who couldn't even afford good dentures , let alone IMPLANTS, that this spoiled, rotten brat would have the nerve to gripe about a free gift she was given instead of being GRATEFUL and showing the company appreciation for giving her gorgeous implants most of us can only dream about not to mention how mad most of us are at the company for not saying to her "not only are we NOT making you an even more expensive pair for free but because you threatened to talk badly about our first product we sent you FOR FREE we want that set back so we can find a much more appreciative person who really wants but can't afford implants so they won't pick apart a perfectly good product just to get the top of the line set". THAT'S what the company SHOULD have said to her when she complained about nothing more than picky little things that had no bearing on fit, function, or over all aesthetic. We are all angry that she had the nerve to complain and threaten to say bad things about a company who GAVE her thousands of dollars worth of product just to get an upgrade when most of us can only dream about ever getting the original set she was given. That behavior shows exactly how ungrateful she is and how rude, shallow, materialistic, and spoiled she truly made herself appear to be. And we have the right to state how we feel about her video because she posted it on RU-vid and when you put a video on RU-vid you better think about what you are saying because if it's shallow and spoiled... people are gonna call you out on it. PERIOD.
As a former dental assistant it's driving me freaking crazy that she's referring to them as Bridges!!! And I don't understand how in the hell do you win dentures!? Maybe I wasn't listening close enough I don't know...

I've been following you from the beginning and so glad you've come so far. I've been wanting to send you this information for a while now so here it is. First thing I would like to educate you on is what you said about acrylic density. The translucency of the acrylic is not related to how densely it was packed. Your first denture could have been made with acrylic that is the same as your second set in terms of opacity. We have a choice of color and transparency when we order acrylic. the gingival edge including how flat is it or not, is all controlled in the wax up stage where the technician can carve and shape the gum area how he/she pleases. Any acrylis carved thin at teeth edge will show the teeth through. The shape of the teeth is all about selection of the clinician. Teeth come in a variety of differences in sex, facial contours and size. Nothing to do with cheap or expensive. Red fibres that mimic blood vessels are also a choice when we order acrylic and nothing to do with price. The ivoclar ivocap system is mainly a commercialized idea. A good technician can produce minimal shrinkage using the conventional method. If anything Ivocap just allows for processing dentures without smelling much monomer, that's it. The DENTURIST Is a clinician and technician at the same time with clinic and onsite lab allowing for use of devices like facebow allowing for recording of protrusive and lateral movement.

I would love to have a final result like what you have now. Have you considered making a consulting service so that you could help people communicate to the dentist what the person wants? I think you'd be great at it and would be so comforting to have someone who could help as we go through this process. It might even help the dentist if the patient was able to say what it is they are looking for, with or without implants. Also it seems the implants are different from one dentist to another. Help with that process would help too. Thank you for sharing with us. It means soooo much!

The straight boxy look is what you get when it isn't made by a denturist , they are sent to a lab. I would guess that the second ones were made on site. I dream of implants! The best way to get the natural look..first the the fibres you mentioned, is in the acrylic that is used to make the pink part of the denture, yes the porcelain composite teeth are the best thing since the old porcelain. These do not click in your mouth. Can I ask if you happen to work for these people who made these? I would sell my soul, almost, to be able to get these! To get rid of the upper plate and not have my mouth full of acrylic. To be able to eat the things I like, to have beautiful teeth again, the dentures are custom made by a Denturist, that I had worked with as his assistant for nine years.
So this was 5 years ago...how have they held up? Durability? Stains? Odors? My fear with acrylic is all of the above mentioned issues. We spend WAY TOO MUCH $$$ on this to not last 10 years or more
I got immediate dentures three months ago and it has been a nightmare. The extraction procedure left me with a continuing numb sensation between upper lip and bottom of nose and the airway on the right side of my nose has collapsed, causing brand new breathing issues. My dentures are way too big and causing the bottom of my mouth to "bulge", the top denture is way too thick at the roof of my mouth, neither stay in while eating, speech impairments, etc. I am sooooo sad :( And I did this to improve my appearance and lifestyle after losing one of my children two years ago. The pain and mourning from that event really took a toll and as I began to heal from the mourning, I wanted to go ahead and take that leap into being a denture wearer in order to look and feel better as a women in my fifties. I don't know how to tell a quality denture from a cheap one because this all still new to me. You look amazing and soooo beautiful.
$30,000.00 what a joke. I was a dental tech for 38 years and if you really knew what it costs to fabricate this set of dentures ( yes i said dentures not bridges, the proper terminology is Implant dentures) it would just make you sick. Its a license to steal
+Lawrence Lassiter Implants alone (4 upper....minimum and 3 minimum lower....typically I would go with 4 and 4) will vary in cost depending on where you are. Most implants run around 2k-3k each and does not include any bone augmentation that may need to be done. This girl could easily have 16-24k just in implants alone. The dentures...another 2-4k.....again depending on where you live. So no its not that crazy to imagine. The bulk of these procedure costs are in the implants.

MichaelB769 And Dr.s have to put themselves through college for a minimum of 8 years to be able to do this. This also doesn't include the price to run a practice and all the equipment needed to do implants. 3d imaging is not cheap and neither are the supplies.
mygalmo I am currently working with an Oral Surgeon on a case similar with your current situation and yes, if your dentist knows what he is doing he can use your current denture (if the denture is in decent shape) to snap onto implants. The great thing is, once the implants are in and you get everything lined up correctly, you can have the palatal part of your denture cut out because you no longer need it for suction.

I think the time it takes and the work involved for any dentistry no matter what it involves I just think the price in ridiculous and very robbing and things need to change radically

I had the hip bone surgery for jawbone replacement in 90s my bone continued to shrink because I fell and loosened the implanted denture . In 1999 I had another implant. The implanted denture is still intact. I couldnt do with out it. the dental surgeon and the maxiliofacial doc did a wonderful work. The latter doc made my teeth to look as if they were my own teeth. He is now teaching in Oklahoma City dental school. The doc that implanted my denture is practicingin Broken Arrow ok.
cristina jones Hello Cristina, I thought I'd let you know about a wonderful product I just found for keeping my dentures in. I hated mine because I couldn't eat, the bottom plate would just fall out, even just taking a drink would make them pop out. I found 'Secure' the waterproof denture adhesive. It's just amazing! I found it at Walmart on line, can't find it in the store. I do put some on the top and it can be a little hard too get them out. I've had mine in for 2 days now and the bottom just came lose. That was because I've had them in for 2 days and I just had a 1/4 lb hamburger. I can even use my tongue and run it between my lip and bottom ones and they don't move. I hope you give it a try, it works really well. Good luck and God bless you. 😋

I came to your videos from the back end. I found Ivoclar Vivident years ago and am now needing a replacement for an eight year old solution. I found and presented information about Phonares II to my dentist. Then I wondered if I made the right choice, having so little information other than photos on their literature to go by. Seeing your gorgeous smile has given me so much comfort that I'm headed in the right direction. How did you choose the shape of the teeth, or did they make that choice for you? +Geri Sonkin That's great! Glad you're a fan of their teeth, as well! Well, the first try in I had, I had some minor requests on changes to the teeth. I noted some things that I didn't like and they were able to make the changes based on my requests. So, they were already in the right direction, I never selected the teeth. They made a great choice for me and I simply asked for some tweaks in positioning and what have you. But you can definitely request teeth based on the different molds they have. Then you would try them on and go from there. Good luck to you!

I heard that each screw costs $1500.00 and you need 4 screws on the upper and 4 screws on the lower. That's $12,000.00 just for screws, not including the denture. That's a lot.
Colette Connor yes and when we made screws like that they were made for under a £1.00 each it’s such a rip off the screws. It’s the so called putting them in. The dentist is the rip off merchant.
You're such a lovely lady, I'm very happy for you that you able to get something that looks so nice. Not all of us were born with great teeth so, thankfully, there are options. Hope your videos have help pay for these, you do an excellent job and probably help lots of people.
Such dentures can go from $15,000 for one, up to $45,000 for both upper and lower. It is cheaper if you need partials instead of full dentures. For example, we start partials at $299!
I’m getting a custom bridge guess you’d say called Cerasmile on lower & it’s costing me &30000. Hadn’t even gotten to top yet so not sure what I’m doing there but it’s lots of money for a beautiful smile no doubt. Bye bye retirement

Amazing set of implant supported denture.Aesthetic and the phonetics is just so awesome. Same quality can be delivered in India at a 1/3rd of the rates.People who wish to get such dentures should come to India.
Don't get me wrong, I like this girl in these videos and her information. However, I can't even keep up with how many different sets and different kinds of dentures, bridges, implants etc she's had and talks about. I speak for myself when I say, I just wish I had *one* nice, new set of dentures or teeth.. even "temporary's"... much less a "permanent" set of dentures.. I can't even keep up with her numerous different sets of teeth and stories ... it's' mind boggling for me, and probably for a lot of us.. ☮ & 💜

Friday I see the teeth & if I approve- then they get made ... & 2 weeks later my teeth get yanked out and the dentures will be ready to wear... your right about the "different tiers"- I have receding gums due to genetics... so- I can't even think about the "all on four" concept as the post will show in less than 2 yrs... so- I can only get the basic dentures... at the cost of $3,600... (Thank goodness for credit cards!) - I had invested in bonding & veneers 8 yrs ago to buy time... & now its time to rip em out... my teeth wiggle- they do not hurt... but they do fall out when I least desire... one thing is certain- the longer I wait to get the dentures... the more expesive they become- 8 yrs ago- I could've gotten dentures for $1,200... if I wait till I'm 70... they will cost over $6,000- so yeh- I'm doing it now while my credit card is willing to let me finance them. hahahaha- besides- I really- do not want to be 70... trying to come up with $6,000 for dentures... or entail my teeth being yanked out.

kalinjax you are so inspiring, I've been in my implants for 8 months.5 on top and 4 on bottom, please address the cleaning of these I had no idea of the difficulties I would have all the food gets under my gums iam wondering if something is wrong after spending 40, and not done yet iam really not happy with my implants, teeth.I'll be ordering my permanent zircon ones next visit to the dentist.please help with any input.
If you're just getting regular dentures, you could go to Affordable Dentures for ALOT less. They made my upper plate for a couple hundred dollars. They do OK on just dentures but I wouldn't use them for any type of implants.
+Daniel W Well, what I have are different from dentures so they cost a LOT more. I wish I could give you an average on what this would cost as a removable denture. I'm working on it!
+kalinjax I have some that are different too, but they are crappy beside of yours...I have the implants plus they didn't fit them right to my mouth...They make my mouth look less full, so you look like you have lost your front teeth. I hate mine.
Oh and yes. My dentist has suggested something if I couldn't do the porcelain ones. But they are still kind of pricey. I have a lot going on right now at this point of my life and need something that isn't too expensive. Just need abutment and crown. But the crown part could be the removable denture like you said. I am willing to do that. Thank you again for being on here.

Good call. I could not agree more. I was taken back a bit when I was reading the same type of opinions. I think maybe a lot of them had different experiences. So you know. I have dentures&it was a huge decision to have to make~I'm a nurse & throughout my career I always said of all the things I could get/have~colostomy &dentures were the 2 I dreaded that I might have to endure...I have dentures now&I HATE THEM~I'm so depressed with these....THANKYOU THANKYOU for your valuable information for hopefully my next adventure replacing these!!!God Bless you!!!!!
Your teeth look amazing. I pray one day I will get a decent set of dentures, and the money to afford them. My dentures are horrible looking and so crooked. They don't fit anymore. I'm 58, and still can't smile.
+Susan Moseley I'm really sorry, Susan. This is one of the challenges many people face. I'm fortunate that i've not had to deal with that yet but my mother, who went to the same dentist I went to, could never wear her bottom denture. Sometimes it's the anatomy of the mouth which complicates things, sometimes it's poor measurements being taken, sometimes the lab just sucked, it's really hard to tell. Creating a denture can be a really challenging process. I hope you get this sorted out, soon.
Until you reach the point of affording dentures or implants- there is Snap on Smile available . They mold to the shape of your teeth - and can be taken in and out, make sure you get the true Snap on Smile brand for a true fit. The price of dentures very widely, depending on the Dentist and their labs. I have gone to 10 different dentists in the last year and a half trying to find a good one I could afford. I have had quotes from $1500 to $11,000. Why can't we get a good, affordable pair of dentures?? The ones I have, I cannot chew with and they totally distort my mouth and facial appearance.
Phonares are top of the line teeth by Ivoclar. They are about 15 times (!) more expensive than the cheapest denture teeth. The lab charges vary greatly too. It can be as much as 400% difference. Another thing is, not every dentist is even capable of making a premium denture. Let me just leave it at that...
+Tim Tursonoff Go find a Denturist. They specialize in making dentures and you go direct to the manufacturer. Dentists send their chairside work to the labs, who actually make them without seeing the patient. With a Denturist you can go directly to the lab, speak personally with the person who will be making your dentures and you don't pay the markup from the dentist. ANd they turn out much better once you find the right Denturist.
Tim Tursonoff :Thank you for sharing this information, as most people are totally in the dark about the prices/qualities of dentures, as I was when my ordeal first started. If I could but add that people need to research their dentists online as well. Some are complete charlatans and will try to confuse you with many unnecessary charges on your bill or try to pass off inferior dentures when insurance is paying for them (two problems which I encountered personally) Next time I will check the BBB, social media, and google before settling on a dentist. Plus, make sure you know up front what the costs are and what you want. Take pictures with you.
+T Young You've gotten some pretty good responses, here. A prosthodontist specializes in replacing missing teeth. From what I have gathered so far, a general dentist has limited experience with dentures and other forms of tooth replacement. Also, you're definitely going to pay more for quality. But even if you did get the teeth that I have, it's not guaranteed that the end result will be the same. This all depends on the skill level of the people making your dentures. As I mention in the video, it's an art. It takes many years of experience to be able to produce something that looks so incredibly real, unless you just have a natural talent for this sort of thing. And finding someone who can make you a good set and still be reasonably priced, that can be a challenge. The guys who made my teeth have 30+ years of experience under their belt. That's why I think it's important for dentists to display real examples of their work or the work from the lab they use. Many share your same concerns and I am actively trying to engage with professionals to get answers as to why in the world this has to be so complicated for people. Because I agree, it's way too complicated. 10 different dentists with quotes from $1500 to $11,000, when all you want is a good set of dentures that look nice and function well. I hope to get some clear answers for you and everyone else, soon. Because this is nuts. And as much time as I have spent on RU-vid, I still don't have any solid answers for anyone regarding this.
kalinjax Thank you for your reply. I spoke with an Ivoclar Vivadent (sp?) representative and asked where to find a dentist or lab in my area. He said Aspen Dental was using Ivoclar bases and maybe they would use the teeth if I asked. Well I asked and they DO use the Ivoclar denture base but they prefer a different type of teeth. They have a 7 year warranty (for any reason) on their top of the line denture, which is still $600 less than the least expensive quote I have received. (They have many negative reviews on BBB, but you only see the negative not the positive) After not being able to chew for a year now, due to the ridiculous $1500 dentures I have, (insurance paid) I just could not interview another dentist or dental lab.(Over 10 so far) No matter who you talk to you just won't know until you see the final product and try it on in person. I had to make yet another leap of faith. I have been waiting 3 weeks so far for them(Aspen Dental) to get the wire for the partial lower denture. Should be done Dec 22, then I will do the wax mold for the upper. Still probably won't have teeth to chew with until some time late January 2016. And that is only if I accept the first try in. I expect that I will be sending them back to get it right more than once, because I KNOW what to look for now. A lot of stress and anxiety and it is affecting my health.
can't believe ANYONE would complain about the first set she had..i just got immediate dentures and I can't eat, can't talk, keep losing weight, hate myself for allowing my dentist to talk me in to immediate dentures because they do not fit right and since my dentist has been paid I'm no longer I client who needs to be paid attention to. I go every day for grinding and fitting and they treat me worse every day because they have my money already. I would give ANYTHING..I MEAN ANYTHING...to have the first set she WON. I cant believe some people just look a gift horse in the mouth... and then slap it by complaining. Lady you don't know how LUCKY you really, truly are.
Heather W. Ma’am, someone out there is going to spend their life savings on some teeth and they are going to be clueless as to what they should be looking into. If you had that kind of money in the bank right now, you would very much appreciate my honesty. I loved my first set and would have stuck with them for life. I was given the opportunity to have that set and this set and have been thankful for both. But if I were actually spending over $50k, I’d want the phonares teeth, as I am sure you would too. Someone has to show those people what to look out for. I’ve talked to many, many people who have paid that much money for teeth they were disappointed with because they just didn’t know any better.
kalinjax but you DIDN'T spend your life savings on them, dear, and for you to complain about something you were given for free is an absolute slap in the face to those of us who will NEVER be able to afford even the first set that you received FOR FREE and if we won them we would be nothing but grateful... not bitching about the tiny, completely insignificant details that you made such a big deal over. It really upsets those of us who would give ANYTHING to have that first set when you pick them apart and complain about the smallest things to the point that they actually set you up with a new, more expensive set of teeth just so your not complaining anymore about something you should have been ecstatic to get in the first place !! That sounds like something a spoiled rotten child would do. No gratitude for what you were given. They should have given that first perfect set to someone who would have been over the moon just to have the opportunity to have them, not someone who would pick them apart and find every tiny detail to complain about them. You are ungrateful and you made it very clear and obvious by putting your petty complaints on a RU-vid video instead of doing a video showing nothing but your gratitude for being given such an unattainable (for most of us) gift that folks like me and many others can only dream of. Your complaints are so ridiculous and petty it makes me sick to even hear them.. the difference in the whiteness, there variation of the pink gums, the NARROWNESS OF THE BOTTOM TEETH (are you freaking KIDDING ME ???)... the average dentures most of us are stuck with because it's what we can afford have only one option for the pink and the teeth themselves are never the right color and your bitching about perfect teeth ?? God I just want to scream at you to walk a mile in my (or anyone in my situations) shoes... unable to eat right, mouth full of raw spots, back at the dentist every other day to work on the plates more, no taste from the roof of the mouth being covered, etc, etc. and you're bitching about FREE IMPLANTS ??? God you just don't get it. And obviously you never will because you are truly just one of those entitled, perfect people who are always wanting more than you will ever get. SMH
Heather W. Walk a mile in your shoes? Lady I lived it most of my life. Let’s see your videos. Who are you actually helping? No one. Only complaining about your own situation, which, I empathize completely because I HAVE BEEN THERE. But unlike you, I didn’t sit around griping and moaning about it. I started from the very bottom with the cheapest dentures I could find and through helping people through my videos, blasting embarrassingly personal details of my life, those people then voted for me and I won implants and hybrids. I didn’t vote for myself. And through all of my opportunities, I continue to report back to RU-vid to give my honest opinion and experiences so other people know what to expect. When you list one thing you have done to help anyone but yourself, holler at me.
