Hey guys, Check out this new attachment to the ‪@hypertherm‬ Plasma cutter. It is called the Hyaccess tip. This was the perfect opportunity to use this tool. I am running the Hypertherm 85 Sync for this job. I know you guys will definitely dig this new toy. Doing this job any other way would have been quite tough. Kick back for a bit and check it out. Super handy. Thanks for the support and Thanks to Hypertherm for sending it.

It's for metal. Sawzall 101, quit using the fine tooth blades on steel, notably thicker steel. Removing old steam heat radiators and piping the blades you imagine are for wood last 5x longer and cut 10x faster than the fine tooth 'metal' blades.

Always enjoy watching your work! Some constructive criticism, have your latches face outward when making picks with multiple leg bridals/chains. The hooks are stronger where the meat of the hook is, causing less wear & tear on them. Also less chance of the chain slipping off the hook or putting pressure on the latch and breaking it

I sure would love to switch over to your setup especially with that long handle that mimics a acy torch. Problem is I don’t use it for making money. So I’ll just have to keep adjusting and grinding and finding other ways to do my projects. Thanks for all your torch work. Truly a Master.

3-5 teeth in the material for cutting with any blade is the norm from what I recall. This is one of those obnoxious repairs that makes you pull out all the tricks. There is no perfect tool for this type of repair, but that plasma torch looks like it came in handy. I would have used a double cut carbide burr for all the finish removal work. It would be smart of the owner to have you do the same to the other side of the track for that idler pulley, or at least go as far as reinforcing the other side with some additional plate.
@charleswelch249
@charleswelch249 2 месяца назад
I'm ashamed of the engineering on the track. The track takes all the load and punishment of the machine to the ground. Of all places to go minimum metal strength. The track system is not one of those places. Hopefully, the other side doesn't fail soon for the customer. Have a happy 4th of July, everyone.
