One problem. Team Magma's goal is to increase the amount of land in the world. As such, they are meant to be Ground type, not Fire type.

In regards to Team Magma I read a theory (or maybe its true) that since they want to expand the land, their main theme is actually Ground types. This would also fit with their Legendaries (non Primal) with Kyogre being Water and Team Aqua using water types so the opposite would be true for Magma with Groudon being Ground type.

I'm so down for these changes, it's insane how well the fossils fit Roxanne and that Norman didn't have a Loudred for some reason. This also really helps the issues that the evil teams had, it works so well. Drake GOATed.

Tate and Liza's Emerald Team is actually perfect in my opinion That's because they have a "secret" strategy. All their Pokemon are immune to Ground Type Attacks. Which is really beneficial in Doubles Battles where Earthquake is so dangerous

Hey Zac, when you get round to Unova, I think I’ve got a killer resign for Alder’s team. I tried to cover as many types as possible, so this team can be a monster to deal with if you’re underprepared. Here’s what I’ve got: - Jellicent ( perfect counter for Emboar and also pretty powerful) - Archeops (a cool fossil to have - powerful too until defeatist kicks in) - Scrafty (not too sure why I chose this one - just thought it would suit him) - Druddigon (considered putting Hydreigon here but pretty sure he’s Ghetsis’ ace, and we already have a dark type.) - Excadrill (for sheer power) - Volcarona (Alder’s ace and one of my all time favourite Pokémon. He’s not going anywhere.) Tell me if you think this is any good!

One change I would make is give Glacia a Froslass instead of one of the Glalie, i'm not a fan of multiple copies of the same Pokémon on a team.

I think the Pokemon anime writers must have seen this video because they gave Wallace a Swampert in the Serena return episode in Journeys.

My thoughts for certain choices: Roxanne: Huh...I never thought of that. Well she did use a Cradily in the manga😊 Flannery: Very interesting choice. Plus it would make Ash & Sapphire (manga) Vs. Flannery a lot more interesting😏 Liza & Tate: Huh...I was thinking Spoink but yours is better idea Norman, Phoebe, Glacia, & Drake: This is what I want to at least see again. Mixing the teams up by making them not just the members of one Pokemon’s evolution line Juan & Wallace: Kinda Love the fact their teams are similar to represent their relation as Master & Student & at the same time different to Show they are different for they are their own Trainer like with Koga & Janine. I kinda get what your saying about Luvdisc BUT apparently it’s part of their aesthetic just as much as their respective Signature Pokemon. Sidney: Yes! MANGA READERS REPRESENT!!!😎😊 Greta & Anabel: Love the anime references😍😊 Tucker: Why not Arcanine like from the anime? It’s flashy and majestic as well Choices made coincedently have Manga references that might not have been intentional thus not noticed: Brendan & May: Their manga counterparts, Ruby & Sapphire respectively teamed up with a Plusle & Minun duo twice. Maxie & Archie used a Houndoom & a Tentacruel respectively in the True Final Battle in the RS Chapter AND Wallace: He never used a Swampert...BUT his disciple, Brendan’s counterpart Ruby does.

Instead of tentacruel I would give Archie a walrein for 3 reasons 1 it fits him 2 it has one in the manga and 3 his half team will not be weak on pcychic 😂

If Brandon ever returned to the games or anime, I could see him including the new Regis coming with Crown Tundra, Regieleki and Regidrago.

Great video. The only two difference I make is have Watson's team be a double battle like Raihan & give Norman a Kecleon since he's the fifth gym leader. Three gym leaders after the fourth should have four Pokémons in total to make them more challenging.

How about instead the rivals having the Wailmer line, both of them can have Clamperl and then later have either Huntail for Brendan or Gorebyss for May. I’m suprised neither of those two are used for Juan or Wallace as both are water type users.

Liz and Tate should have Xatu alongside Claydol because the whole point is that Claydol and Solrock can use earthquake which doesn’t damage any of their other team members.

So Zac, I get you want to change the teams so there is more variety to the Pokemon options than just using the same ones, which I can totally accept, but I think you're forgetting Hoenn was the start of regional dexes. So, for you putting Pokemon that aren't in the regional dex in the new teams, just looks off putting. For any team post game, I can get behind since you would normally get the national dex by then.

You gave team magma a bunch of fire types, but they don't even focus on fire types, they focus more on ground types, this becomes more noticeable when you notice that the legendary they're after is a ground type, that's why some of them had baltoy in emerald

I'd be in favor of a Ninetales for Phoebe, with all things considered.

For Wattson's team, he would have a Plusle in Ruby/Omega Ruby, Minun in Sapphire/Alpha Sapphire, and both in Emerald.

I feel if the player char had the choice it would be Mudkip (since his manga counterpart had it and in the movie "Pokémon Ranger and the Temple of the Sea" where he used a swampert)/Treecko (mega timeline brendan has one) for Brendan and May would be torchic.

I think Wallace's team as a gym leader would be: Lantern Swampert Sealio And milotic.

If you were giving Tucker Typhlosion and Swampert, I would've gone ahead and given him Venusaur too. It would make it so that he has one starter from each region (at the time) and of each type.

Imo Team Aqua is so much more interesting as I prefer Archie a lot over Maxie and especially both Matt and Shelly a lot over Tabitha and Courtney. The Team Magma admins are just kinda forgettable

Zac you forgot pyramid king brandon does have other pokemon besides the Regis like Dustclops solrock and Ninjask

for glacia jinx is also a duable pokemon as it is also ice type

For tate and Liza, I would have them use 2 pokemon each. The pokemon under their ace would be there second pokemon.

Some of these Pokémon can't be used as they're not in the Hoenn Pokédex, such as Tyrogue, Qwilfish, Houndoom and Misdreavus.

For me Winona is hardest gym leader of hoenn, everybody says that Norman is the hardest but I think not!

My team for flannery: Combuskin, magby (or magmar, depending on what level it would be), and slugma

We’ve finally arrived at my favorite region

I need Team Magma Team needs to be of Fire and Ground Types since they are fighting for the land expansion of the game I really wish most evil teams wouldn't just have Poison or Dark types just the sake of being an evil team they can use other types as well. Same with Team Aqua don't need poison types, could be water and flying.

I like that one...Red for Fire..Blue for water...combo..salamance...and Result=Tucker....NICE ZAC...!!!!!!!
