GameFreak also makes their own engines and puts them onto mobile handheld consoles, rather than using RPGMXP.

Gamefreak making game to be simple and follow the story. Fans making game really hard until me myself need to check youtuber because I doesn't understand😂😂😂😂

​@@TrentR42 From a standpoint of sheer game design, yeah, fans have been making better games for years now. Certainly with the vast resources Gamefreak has at their disposal they will have better programmers and graphical designers. But personally I find that secondary to a game actually having good game design and being enjoyable to play. With pockets as deep as GF's, there isn't any excuse to them being passed up by hobbyist game devs on the internet, even if they have additional hurdles to overcome.

Why have the fans not invented Pokemon? They are using the creativity and the ideas of others. GF laid the foundation and now some claim that fans are better. Why aren't they as successful as these big companies? And where would they be without the companies that gave them the ground to make anything? Without the games there would be no fans and no fangames. If they are so bad, how come they make millions?

i really wish the the normal pokémon fonts were already in the game, the defaults really do look ugly

Use a emulator (like melon nds or mgba) and put the scale (for exemple 1920x1080) 10x the original, its a config on the emulator itself

Fan games and rom hacks are not the same though. Fan games are made with rpg maker and have no emulator but an exe file

You work on your own pokemon fan games? If so, could you please tell me how to get started or what platform to use or what language? I'm pretty new to programming but I'm going to college and majoring in computer science and I want to get my feet wet.

What's the idea?

@@Om-sq7xg been working on this idea since Gen V without some of the updates but willing to update my idea. Imagine an island where Legendary Pokemon are plentiful but regular Pokemon are considered Legendary. Some mon also have evolutions. Double Battles always happen. And there is a dark secret to the evil Team. Don't want to give everything away. Only problem is I had an idea that would take players to the five other regions (Gen V) but I don't think a fan game can handle that much data.

Could you please elaborate? From the name I think I know what the game will be about, but I'd like to see if it would be fun to play

@@silversonome5360Yeah, it’s about making a gym of any type.

It’s a game with a very good concept but fairly lack lustre implementation.

The game sucks. Lacks a lot of structure plus you have to control using a keyboard and it's not full screen if I remember correctly. Good idea but not executed well at all, almost like they never played a video game before.

It’s a good game, he just explained it wrong The plot is that you are a Nurse Joy in the only Pokémon Center that hasn’t yet received the healing machine that we see in every game, so instead of healing Pokémon by pushing a button, you have to do actual doctor stuff
