Here in June 2024 binge watching green side up. Bless you Steve RIP, these are great videos. I've watched them all at least twice by now, learning something each time.
Setting that up right the first time takes so much patience but add in moving camera around and getting right shots is next level of patience because it takes so much longer. New appreciation of RU-vid channels since trying myself.
Steve very easy to follow and well explained. Thank you. Im on a hill so will have to do going down the slope as too expensive to have terraces put in.
Indeed, I cant wait to "move in" so to speak, frame up in next couple of days then all stop before plastic goes on, need warm days for that...Steve...🙂
Fantastic! I'm right on the coast, literally on the banks of an estuary. We need to protect our PT from the wind. Good to know the best option for those posts. Thanks Steve!
Well explained Steve,, I had a tunnel put up last October from Green Concepts from Galway,, they did the same with the anchor posts but filled the holes with postcrete (quick drying concrete that went solid in 30 minutes) then assembled the framework whilst the anchor posts set,, 2 men started the job at 8.30 and completed the polytunnel by 4.30,, when building the raised beds inside the tunnel I found it was level and square to the inch,, and the guys used the same method as you,,, none of the new fangled lazer kit,, brilliant.
nicely done Steve, I also have the framework up for an extension on my existing tunnel been up for a couple of weeks and needs covering but waiting for the wind to drop and the temps to rise. You said you would be waiting for it to be warmer before the plastic goes on I might have a go at mine next week as the temps due to rise to around 10c will you be waiting longer for higher temps ? cheers.
Screw anchors are good and an improvement over foundation tubes being pushed into the ground AND easier to fit too. But in no way are they better than anchor plates on a windy site...Steve...🙂
