Seems so many of us are growing Black Trufele thanks to Jessie. No pressure @Plot37 😁🍅 The fruity tasting chili might be my gateway into the chili world👺. I too don't care to eat any food that makes my nose run. 🤧 Have a wonderful week Steve. 🌱
I’m growing king of the north sweet peppers and a range of hot peppers including a lemon drop. I’ve never started peppers of my own before, so I’m a bit nervous, but heck, I have nothing to lose. 👍👍😀🇨🇦🥰
It will be interesting to see how the mild peppers turn out - I don’t like a lot of heat either! All the seedlings in your greenhouse look really healthy. Onwards into Spring! Take care 😊
Are you going to grow crimson crush again? Growing them was the best gardening decision I made last year. Lost all my other plants to late blight, but the crimson crush was still producing into november (without cover).
I hope you're well Steve. The accordion reminded me of the Voyage Tomato variety which I'm trying this year...looks like a bunch of cocktail tomatoes welded together. Should be an experience.
Happy Sunday Steve, have a great one mate, as this is only my second season growing, after years away, I'm happily guided by your wisdom, thanks for sharing
Hi Steve. I wondered if some of these big American seed companies would ship to UK after Brexit, so I put an order in with Jonny's seeds just to see what the postage would be. The seeds came to about £12. they wanted £200 to ship. I couldnt believe it. I took a screen shot. I will send it to Tony by email, because i was going to mention it to Audrey in live chat on potty mouth but so much gets missed in the chat, just wondered if she knew they were charging that. You guys are so lucky that she sends you seeds because there are some interesting varieties over there that we cant get in UK. On another note about black triffeli tomato seeds. I wanted to try them after Jesse mentioned how fantastic they are, really struggled to find them. I got some eventually, they better be good after all this because they were the most expensive seeds I have ever paid for, cost me £8 for about 5 seeds. LOL
Hi Steve my main crop this year will be peppers 🌶 and tomatoes 🍅 .Sunday tomatoes, plum tomatoes, sweet cherry 🍒 and have just ordered some tomato accordion , last season out of 100% about 15% had blossom end rot. Once again thanks for a great video 📹. Tim
Hi Steve, I'm a new subscriber. I notice that you sow your seeds into compost without any vermiculite. When I do this I get green algae growing on the top of the soil. How do you prevent this? And do you water from the top or sit the trays in water to soak up? Hope you can help. Thanks.
Another very interesting video. My broad beans are leggy, not like yours, even though after germination I put them in a cool light place. Have now got them outdoors during the day to harden them off. Can I take out the tops at this stage before planting them out in the garden? Am also very curious to see your experiments with the peppers so hope a lot germinate for you.
Morning Steve, asking you for some advice on another of your video doing sweetcorn last year we noticed the root trainer you were using opened in half please can you advise where to buy them thank you. Lisa and colin
Hi Steve, I keep getting confused on how to respond to patreon, sometimes I can ask a question and others no? Perhaps you can advise what or how. Question I have is when should I be thinking of planting out my onion seedlings, they have all have two shoots/leaves, do I leave them till they are like leeks ie pencil thick - regards Alan
Steve. I grew brads atomic grape, atomic fusion, and atomic sunset last year, they were all three particularly tasteless, I did wonder if the seeds I got, from two different suppliers, were not true to variety seeds
Hi Steve, I only like the sweet peppers, I can't tolerate hotter ones, have tried them and its definitely not for me. Thanks for sharing and take care 🙂
'Lemon Dream' is a lovely pepper I really recommend if you want lovely flavour with little heat. I've a video on my channel if you want to see what it looks like.
That’s habanada I think. I’ve also just mentioned the Trinidad perfume too. For a sweet and very mild small pepper, try the biquinho red. If you pickle them and stick them on your pizzas they are divine. So sweet.
