Yes over 50 years year to year much better no other car have so long life time like the Porsche 911,and a hope there do the same the next 50 years!! Sorry for my bad english best wish Reiner from Germany
@@henofit agree, I was thinking while watching this is anyone doing resto mods like this to Lambos, Ferraris (those ferrari knobs would probably cry and send out cease and desist letters!) etc?
Proof that designs do not need to change. If Porsche made this exact shape today with up to date tech it would put nearly all other sports car brands out of business. Amazing piece of work.
I agree certain cars should be brought back or continued. Like the g wagon, original vw beetle, Toyota land cruisers, etc. The same Fastback Mustang body like 'Eleanor' in Gone in 60 Seconds, Datsun Fairlady, air-cooled Porches, Jaguar coupes, RWD Corollas, gt40 are still worthy of manufacturing today.
GW’s best work to date. The design and quality level of finish throughout is second to none. 1225kg and 700hp climbing to 7500rpm via 6speed manual = Sign me up!
Cannot get enough of the rear-end styling and overall aesthetic of the car. 6-speed manual with 700hp is mind blowing. Gunther Werks really made a masterpiece with the 993 silhouette.
Yes i need it i need it i need it but no hope thats sooooo sad!!!! Or a win much money, but thats not real, ok than i have fun when i see one or better i see them drive and here the sound! Sorry for my bad english best wish Reiner from Germany
Yes! One of my favourite cars ever- the RUF CTR aka “Yellowbird” is also a 7 speed manual with 710hp. The RUF SCR is also a a work of art with less hp, but better interior.
@@justinhornback1248 but the curve Performance from that 911 is soooo much better than a Corvett! Sorry but the 911 have much more race wins than any other car,no car win more race than a 911 in over 50years!! Sorry for my bad english best wish Reiner from Germany
@@r.blacky341 I agree about the performance! But! Corvette Racing has been more dominant in the past 20 years, and when Corvette and Porsche finally became the same class (think it started when the C6 went to GT2), Corvette still won far more than the porsches. Porsche is king of prototypes, but Corvette did damn good in GT as well.
I’m sorry… But that is ANOTHER LEVEL! I’m a huge Porsche fan, and love all the ‘personalised’ creations that these teams develop, whether it’s GW, Singer, Magnus Walker etc. But this car is in a league of its own! 🔥👌
I love it when an automaker is unwilling to do something with their cars, you have engineering houses like Guntherwerks that push the envelope of the limits with these cars!!
Absolutely insane… just the attention to detail on everything. The taillights literally look factory and are too sleek looking 🥵 Keep up the amazing work Guntherwerks 🙏
those wheels are gorgeous love the contrasting textures with the carbon and metal, the carbon feels like an extension of the tires and the wheels sit really deep
Can’t wait to see this mad mobil in action! So far very impressed by the guys at GW’s. What a great recipe execution of perfecting an early 911 with a specific goal in mind. I like that the color pops in the lighting. Some very unique features like the flat fan, the suspension, the brakes and the wheels. Really looking forward seeing more Gunterwerks content coming also some driving and hopefully some track content. Would also love to see Singer 911’s in detail on the channel🤞 JWW-GW really awesome, thanks for sharing! Boss🫵
I really love the guy who comes in at the end to talk about the engine. What a wonderful being. I would like to talk hardcore mechanics with him for hours.
Gosh I fell in love with this car it looks so beautiful, so stock, I wish Porsche made more of these cars apart from the singer versions, like a modified bodykit for old cars with that modern feel..
Imagine having this sat in your garage (I’m American) but “sat in your garage” felt right here…. I would wake up an hour after falling asleep and have cold one with this car appreciating every bit of it
JWW been a subscriber for a few years now but your content just gets better and better. Not only that you're a great presenter but you're showing much more than just the typical cars/specs/laptime jargon, an alternative take on the typical car show/youtube channel. Love it.
Great video. Amjad is a wealth of knowledge and his passion/ expertise is clearly reflected in the GW cars. I love the sheer detail and innovation that the main ‘restomod’ Porsche companies are going to in order to separate their products.
Do you know what draws me to your channel the most… while the whole of the car media world is presently focused in on the 992 GT3 RS launch, you James are introducing to us the Gunterworks 993 Turbo interpretation. And while I know you probably either already have a video ready to go, or you are presently working on it, because it is another important evolution of the 911 GT range. Continue to love the discerning loyal followers. Continue to stay classy, your journalistic/branding interpretation is on point!!!
I’m surprised that five years of designing made such a beautiful car. He was right that it just doesn’t have a single bad angle, from front to back it’s super smooth and super clean in ways I just love
Amazing. Thank you to guys at Places like Gunther and Singer. As a huge Porsche fanatic and 911 owner (lightly modded guards red 997 with aero shown on my channel), I’ve always been highly critical of what is “appropriate” to do on an aftermarket basis, to a 911. It is difficult to change the appearance in a good way and also improve performance without effecting the car in a negative way, without using OE parts. Also, to me, the RWB has always been very difficult for me to take in, the add on fenders, and body parts just don’t work for my taste. To me, this is how it should be done. Amazing execution to make an older 993 have the classic look, but also be modern
I'm a huge fan of the 993 iteration of the 911 in stock form. So it would take a lot for me to be impressed by customised 993s other than those that have been modified for racing. I never liked the RWB 993s, but Guntherwerks have impressed me with the previous model. This one just raises the bar even more.
This is design and craftsmanship at the highest possible level. Absolutely stunning in all aspects. I've been fortunate to see one in person at my local car show. A truly timeless work of art.
Im not a huge porsche guy but this is absolutely insane, one of the most incredible cars I have ever seen. The attention to detail is on a whole other level and the performance is probably brain bending lol.
That was an amazing presentation! The efficient cooling will also diminish the loss of horsepower in a turbo engine running hot, more than compensating for those 35 hp. I know we’re dealing with a special recreation 993 model and so the manual transmission is the obvious way to go. But considering the 700hp power and the speed that turbo will boost and the rpm will rise, a pdk transmission would get the performance to another level!
Yes, I love the 993 and this takes it to the highest level. Still small and curvaceous but much more beautiful and refined and better than any of the newer cars from Porsche.
Are these sort of interpretations of a classic Porsche actually approved or recognized by Porsche themselves. The car is awesome and utterly perfect .... just wondering bearing in mind it's badged as a Porsche. I have to add that if I had the money to buy any super / hypercar I would want this .... it is just incredible. Hats off to Guntherwerks
Have a feeling JWW wants to be on the customer list! Exquisite clean design - too bad they don't shave the rain gutters, these million dollar works of art won't be seeing much rain!
The holy fusion of retro design and modern performance techs. Wouldn't be surprised if it cost millions of dollars just to be inside of this car. Its one true collector's edition
