Awesome new primer! Excited to try GR since I’ve been rocking GW for awhile now. The first match was exciting for me because Enchantress is actually my other modern deck! In trying to teach my friends how to play it I’ve played scales against them and found it’s a really hard matchup. G1 is usually a loss unless you go hyper fast before they can get solitary down. G2/3 is a little better cause you have the enchantment removal side but you still have to go really fast. You absolutely cannot grind the deck out. If you get enchantment-only removal you pretty much have to conserve it for Solitary when you have a lethal board unless they’re low on cards, then I’d consider taking an enchantress effect with it. They don’t have instant-speed interaction for your guys aside from popping a Seal on the board. Pithing needle can name Spinner in some cases, but I usually name Sterling Grove as it removes an option to search for an enchantress effect. All this being said I think your GR version would have a better chance because it looks a little faster with the extra wokers and extra boseiju. Close game!
Hello MrSeri! Great video as always! Can you explain why I've never seen this deck with fetch lands and shocks? I mean, sometimes I top deck a lot of lands in a row and I thought that playing maybe 2 fetches and 1 shock would be a great way to make sure you don't keep drawing into more lands in the late game.
Fetches make very little difference with what % of lands you draw. Imagine at turn 5 it goes from having a 20/48 chance of drawing a land to a 19/47 chance and you always lose the life, you don't care about the shuffling and sometimes it will cost you 3 life which is game losing vs burn!
@@seriour Alright, that makes sense, thank you very much. I've also read your primer and I learned a lot of new little interactions I was not aware of. Btw if you feel like playing a meme version of this deck may I suggest making room for a goblin bombardment and rabbit battery? I hope to see you play with these cards since it's not the best version of the deck obviously but I think is pretty fun.
