On Feb 23, 2024 Princess dropped version 1.1 of its new Medallion Class App. We tell you how to use the Princess cruise App.
Future Cruises are now in the app! Plus Completed Cruises are now in the app! These have accurate itineraries of your past cruises so that you know your prior ports of call and dates.
Chatting with shipmates is now included in the app. If you do not use as WiFi Package on board this feature allows you to chat with your fellow travelers. If you are using a WiFi Package you can still use iMessages to communicate.

In your next app video could you please cover how to add other traveling companions. We will be cruising with another couple and would like to add them. Thanks for all the great videos. We are doing our very first cruise for our 45th anniversary to Alaska on the Grand Princess.

Great idea and we will certainly do a video about that. It’s a little more difficult for me to create because I have to block out more names and booking numbers. To do it, go to dining and click on a dining room and then the blue pencil next to your picture. This allows you to search for your companions. You can also do it once aboard under explore this ship and then shipmates to search. Happy cruising and thank you for watching.

i thought there was no specfic check in time,under planner ship schedule mine says arrival time 1pm

Hi. Mine gave the whole range that the ship would be boarding and it was the same for everyone we travelled with. Princess had done away with time slot boarding. Thanks for watching!

YEP!! They start boarding around 10 AM so guess what time EVERYONE arrives to board?? Yep, you guessed it. Just line up behind 3000 people!! @@ACruisingGoodTime

In the old app you could add someone else’s booking number and you could see them in your app. How do I add them in the new app to search for them on the ship from the new app.

We sail tomorrow. The new app is not compatible with my device. I'm sorry, I'm not buying a new phone just so I can download your app.

BTW it is not our app. However, it should work with any technology smartphone. I would recommend you talk to the medallion class store folks once you get n board. We hope you have a fun cruise. Thanks for watching!

The old app was SO bad we will never cruise Princess again. Not very impressed with "Medallion" either.

Sad 😢. We haven’t had a bad experience with the app or the medallions. Maybe next time you could check with guest services for some help getting the app/medallion sorted.
