Was obvious that he did, indeed. Not many cars look great in yellow. That one does! The other example was a yellow, much more pale, and not exciting. I have a 73 Corvette that is the original bright yellow color, that I purchased 29 years ago.
Can only imagine how bad this guy screwed him on the price , knowing the story of why the guy had to sell it. Mad respect to the original owner for putting his family first. Kinda wish it went to someone who would have had the same passion as respect as the original owner🫤
My dad got this exact color when I was a kid. I remember falling asleep on the way home from picking it up then waking up to being thrown back in my seat and hearing the supercharger screaming. It consistently could light up the wheels at a 75mph roll.
Man, seeing how much came with that piece you can really tell that John loved that car. John if you’re reading this, cheers to you for keeping that thing MINT. Chris, this is going to be a fun build to follow. You can tell that this piece never saw rain! 😂 Looking forward to this one!
Very cool. I had a 2003 Cobra. Added a Whipple 2.3 with all the supporting mods. Put down 600rwhp. Great car. I bought it in 2004 in bone stock condition, and only 3,000 miles. Kept it for 8 years. It was such a great car. I have a dyno video on my page with it.
The introduction you did for this car was awesome. People like myself know what the Cobra Terminator is, but did not know the backstory and history. Looking forward to what's next.
New subscriber and very much enjoying this build. Watching familiar pieces and parts be worked while hearing references to things like SVTP forums takes me back. I still miss my black ‘03. Good luck!
Man this is making me nostalgic. I had a Redfire 04 Cobra for 10 years, Loved it like a son. I sold it to trade up for a 16 GT350, which I also love... but watching this I STILL miss my Cobra. Shoulda kept it. I'll be following. Congrats!
YT recommended this channel to me today, and I can tell you the first 10min got me hooked the terminator helped but it was how the content was made that got me as a subscriber. I can't wait to see what you do with one of my mid 20's dream car. Great work Chris.
Can’t wait! I like they you’re not GM or Ford specific too. I have a cammed c7 and a Roush supercharged stage 3 mustang and I always catch hell lol. I love both cars though for different reasons. Badass cobra
I've been seeing your WTB threads on SVTP for years now. Never knew you had a RU-vid channel. I've subscribed, looking forward to seeing where this goes.
OMG! That car is immaculate, the engine bay was superb, and when the framed pictures started getting pulled out the footwell... wow! That bloke really, really took care of it. And the painters' tape just showed the PO's meticulous approach! Looking forward to this series and have just subscribed!
I'm a dodge guy and a gm guy but there's nothing like the svt cobra of that Era, my buddy had a terminator built by Justin Burcham and that thing was so fast it'd literally take your breath away when he got on it, that car pushed me into building high performance cars for a living..good luck with the car man , certainly a one of a kind beast.
Man, you have some of the coolest cars on your channel. 04 SY cobra, C6z and a E63 in the same garage? Yes please. Long time M156 fan here and just got my 09 C63 last year. I have a H/C 4th gen fbody as well. Really enjoying your content.
Wow, great video. Instantly subscribed. Really difficult to find a channel that has interesting content, isn't too over the top/energetic, and also shows background on the car (U.S cars are not very common here in N.Z). Love it.
Between this and the C6Z, I'm seeing a couple of my top three favorite cars of all time. I can't wait to see where this one goes. Additionally, will you be putting out a video of your dash replacement on the Corvette? Mine desperately needs the same and I'm interested to see how you tackled it.
I remember watching that snake bite video on street fire. That video is a lot of the reason I’m a car guy today. This channel is so under rated. Nice work!
Awesome car..I’ve kept every receipt for my car…original owner and after 20 years..I have a huge amount of receipts…. I sold the original parts…car has 37,000 mi..has been garage kept it’s entire life…interior is immaculate..640 rwhp…4:10 gears…cams..rear seat delete,,,upgraded alt..Tremec T56 Magnum…IRS bushing kit..frame ties…got a brand new pair of OEM axles in the original boxes…and brand new aero wipers in the factory Packages..Ford GT pumps…Redfire clearcoat Too many things to mention…I’ve had a blast with this car…😀😀
Congrats on such a great find. Truly a gem of a stang. Really feel bad for the previous owner. Shows that this was his baby, his pride & joy. Hope he gets to buy another one in the near future. Im suprised how clean this car is specially when u removed the heads & tails not a sign of dirt accumulation. Those spots usually collect so much dirt and im guessing this car has never seen rain or snow. You can eat off the underside and engine bay😂
I’ve loved this car since I was in middle school. I’m now 30, you have given me more info in this short time, than I ever have known. Thank you for that, and your amazing content sir 🫡
Hell yeah can’t wait to see this build again, Thank you for no parting it out!! Crazy that just something little they decide to part these cars out! 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽
I got yellow 03 cobra very clean too. 38k miles it sat for 1 years I dumped gas out of tank went through everything. I just got it running couple weeks ago.
Man....what a gentlmen of a previous owner. That must have been a difficult sell for him. I really enjoyed this video and glad to see you are going to appreciate this immaculate Cobra. I hope to find a Terminator project like this in the future.
I bought mine about a year ago. I've wanted one since they launched but good ones have always been fairly pricey. Finally bit the bullet and picked up a 2003, dsg vert, stock except for some mufflers. I have some Bassani high flow cats and mufflers waiting to go in. I've been torn on what to do since I think these will hold their value well being limited run and having a great story behind them. Iron Fist, Lead Foot is a great read if you haven't gotten it yet, which you may have given some of the stories. EDIT looks like you have, hadn't made it that far in the video yet LOL
This car is super clean and you can tell the last owner loved it for sure. It's a shame it's yellow. Chrome wheels were definitely not the only option available on them.
Wow what a score and amazing detail the owner has with how he kept everything... I'm with you on the stock lights but I'm a big fan of the sequential wiring, I think it adds a lot to the car and Ford should have had it on these in my opinion.
nice car i dont want to wait for future build videos of this car i need them now lol cant wait to see this build. i have a 2008 C6 corvette base 6 sp manual ,atomic orange with a few mods long tube headers, high flow cats, x pipe, cold air , only 7800 miles looking to sell it.
This is kind of sad man, he truly loved this vehicle. I do the same thing, keep and document everything, hope he didn't take too big of a hit selling it
Edit: Just watched your Vlog and OMG what a beautiful SVT that thing is clean !! Looking forward to your build on this beauty. Man you really scored a nice one much congratulations 👍🏻👊🏻
Going to be an amazing project. I bought mine three years ago, is the best thing I have ever done in my life. I have an extra lower intake for sale. Let me know if you need it
I remember hanging out in the pits at Sears Point with the crew from Jason Priestleys Triple Caution Racing. The Cobra R’s were some sharp cars but couldn’t compete that day due to a break issue. It ended up being a loose banjo fitting causing some real problems.
