The explosion when the ship dies is faulty! Someone the largest, brightest flashy particle got attached to the ships death particle, that's been fixed now :)
I actually appreciate that providences lose to Imperial Is on an even battlefield. The Imperial class should be a response to the clone wars as a ship purpose built to beat the Providence. I personally feel it should need to be 3:1 odds for a providence to win. Or some very clever tricks.
Not really, the Providence has 5k more shield points and has a better chance doing hard damage if its torpedo barrage takes out the shield generator early. They both are broadside brawlers with very few ion cannons, but the Providence threatens any ship with shield hardpoints as soon as it gets in range, let alone its formidable, nearly unkillable HMPs.
You are absolutely incredible man this entire mod all the ship model's insane now my personal all time favorite ship is the Venator class star destroyer and it looks awesome but just slightly weak but in terms of scale seems a little to small are all the ship's in the mod to scale accurately if so thats insane but could you also do gameplay against the ai in battles or ship v ship match ups but nevertheless incredible job man
@The Dutchman I've noticed a lot of battles tend to be obscured by smoke all the time. Any chance the smoke effects could be reduced a bit to let us see those beautiful ships duking it out?
It would be more realistic to have bright shining spots of metal indicate damage rather than so much smoke since in space smoke would disperse extremely rapidly while superheated metal would remain brighter with nowhere for the heat to transfer because of vacuum. Also for darker maps, this would make the damaged ships look really f***ing awesome.
Should add particle shield for all ships against projectiles including proton torpedoes, aka making no weapons penetrate shields. Did it to my 3.5 and only had to change damage around slightly and it works awesome! Also should add more turbo laser hardpoints to the ISD 2. Thing did have over 100 normal and heavy TL…
@@TheDutchmanGaming your miss understanding. I made it so shields stop all weapons regardless of energy based or kinetic. Bombers take down shields health not hard-point, then damage the ships. Base damage of 180 worked well for me for proton torpedos. Also made TL damage 60 base. Both helped a lot
Also for mass drivers when they do damage the shields show an animation of the impact and dissipation. Must be from star fighter missiles code but it looks great!
@@pementerprises7706 Yeah there's a few mods that go that route, with no shield penetration. In my opinion, it's an important tool of making ships more unique by the differentiating between projectiles ability to go through shields or not, taking that tool away lessens that imo.
@@TheDutchmanGaming i use bombers to take down shield then use ships and bombers together instead of relying on one or the other. For me it makes the gameplay more dynamic and feels more like the films!
That was partially based on Warbs old providence model, I don't think he'd have any issues with it however. Go ahead and use it, with proper credit to Warb and me :)
Nah, the CIS ships' fighter garrison alone could have turned the tide; Vultures and Tri-Droids clearing the TIEs while the HMPs disabled the Star Destroyers for the Providence and Munificents to pound them. It's just he wanted to show his latest, gorgeous CIS textures, which is absolutely fine.
