@@poodlemom even though he would not be left alone, when i would leave the house he would cry behind the front door for 10min, so my dad had to start to distract him when I left so he wouldn’t see me leaving. but this is a short term fix because soon we will have to leave Coco fully alone (with the cat), as my dad (who’s been staying home this time) can only temporarily work from home before he has to go back to work. So Coco doesn’t have separation anxiety but I was wondering how we could prevent it, as we haven’t left Coco alone at all, so how and when do we start. Thanks in advance 😊
We like your videos, especially on the potty training! BUT-definitely disagree on letting puppy cry in crate. We use a soft crate next to head of our bed and just reach down & pet the puppy when it starts to cry-talk to it with comforting words and it calms down and goes back to sleep. Puppy stops crying after a few nights. We do this until puppy is potty trained & can sleep in our bed. We use a pen in the living room where puppy has another bed, food & water dispenser & pee pads (reusable are the best!) and stays while we are at work. How would YOU feel if someone put you in an empty room with no noise, in a bed in a small locked cell, turned out the lights and then left? Terrified? That’s why we use the soft crate-puppy knows it’s not alone and there’s someone there who’s going to take care of it.

Hahah yeah 🤣🤣🤣 just maybe 2-3 times for around 3 days to get a feel of the puppy’s body clock. Then I adjust the schedule as needed based on the puppy’s body clock.
Hi you motivated me to get a poodle! I got a miniature poodle whell the breeder said toy and she is 6 months old and weighs 3.4 kilos do you think she will keep growing? I really don’t care if she keeps growing bugs she is at her ideal size! It was the best decision ever , emotionally she has given me stability and strength ! Best breed ever! Also I think the breeder gave me her when she was too small! I do love her tons her name is dolly Catalina!
Hi Felix! Thank you so much for your support! I am so happy we are part of the reason why you came to love this breed as much as I do. Haha, your pup will still grow until around 1 year of age. My girls are 3.5 kg full grown. Miniatures on average 4.5-7kg depending on their height ^^ A big warm hug to Dolly Catalina!
Thank you so much for making this video. My puppy is about 4 weeks old now ( still living with the breeder) A friend has suggested I ask the breeder to keep him with his mother until he is 12 weeks old. On the first night how did you deal with potty breaks if he was crying constantly, how did you decide when to take him out? 😊
You are most welcome! Good call! Yes they need to be with their litter at the very least for 8-12 weeks to learn all their social behaviors and cues. I feel like Finn may have been separated too early from his litter his siblings may have been sold off already so he did not have enough time to learn proper social behaviors. XD I basically made a schedule for his first night. XD I have a video coming up on this. XD

Hello! As far as I recall, they will have around 4-6 visits to the vet, with 1 shot each then you also have the last 2 visits where they will be given 2 shots each (one for the usual 5 in 1 plus either Anti-Rabies, Kennel cough and heart something hahah) For sure! Hi Karen! This depend one at what point or part of the training you are in already. In the beginning I kept the doors closed. Once they are potty trained, I keep the crate door open already. ^^ I have an updated video coming up on this! Please look forward to it!
.i finally got mine now. and he is not sleeping in the crate. he is comfy sleeping now in his bed. seems like he felt at home already? i don't know. hehe
