LUNASCAPE That explains why she sang the last “Rebecca” an octave down. Even with a completely healthy voice, those last few high notes are really hard to hit
@@kevinjoe6827 I don't think speaking english doean't means they pretend to looks like english speaker. English is an internetional language, and even if you're korean you can use it to gain more attension. For me it seems he/she is just try to say korean actor is awasome to global user.
Fun fact, all three versions of german here(Pia Douwes in Stuttgart(germany), Susan Rigvava Dumas in Wien(Austria) and Maya Hakvoort in St Gallen(Switzerland)) are played by Dutch actresses.
@@artemisia5663 Not featured: Femke Soetenga (albeit German-born) and the upcoming Willemijn Verkaik and Annemieke van Dam. Absolute Dutch dominance in this role. OP could probably do a comparison video just of Dutch Dannys in the future and it'd be worth watching. Not to mention all of the Elisabeth alumnae... 👀
Ock Joohyun!!! holy hell, she's AWESOME! I live for her deep vibrato, and you should check out her other renditions of Rebecca because on this day (in the vid) her throat was sore af. When she hit the final f#5 in award shows i was like "YESSSSS". Seriously, goose pimples man. She's such a legendary k-singer too, there's no genre she hasn't sung, whether as a part of the 90s Girl group Fin.K.L. or as a soloist. I just love her heehee.
Hi there! I am interested in Korean musicals just like you(I am Korean btw). I see you comment everywhere about Ock Joohyun and Kim Sohyun. You seem to love Korean musical theaters. Where are you from?
The fact that us international Rebecca fans are all gushing over Ok Joohyun's Danvers... meanwhile the Koreans are fighting over if she's the best or not, if the version by Shin Youngsook should have been here or not... lol
Susan’s voice is sooo amazing, strong and confident, Pia is very cold and mysterious, she makes me having goosebumps on my skin. And Korean version: I am speechless…
I really find you everywhere. XD Actually, the Korean version has a few nice recordings. I can´t understand Korean but I already now the lyrics anyway. Also there is this music video: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-NDOfl0exwow.html
Nicely done! Do you know how much I want this to finally come to Broadway, or at least a North American tour of this? As long as it's based of the German production, and Pia Douwes gets to reprise her role of Mrs. Danvers.
When I heard Susan's voice for the first time, I was positively surprised. She is amazing, of course the best. Pia Douwes (icon) runner-up and Korean version run third. This is my top 3. I hope to see Susan, Wietske and Uwe in 2022 ♥ 1:21 1:50
I don't how much footage is actually available O would love to see a compilation for Manderlay's on Fire, just to see how different productions did the fire XD
The Korean version is out there. There's no actual fire but just lighting. The biggest change is Mrs Danvers having a note belted out before Mandelay collapses.
