It’s not so much topps as it is the distributors. The distributors are the main reason for these crazy prices. Demand is high which obviously drives the price. But the distributors are holding back a lot of product.

@@Scotto6977 they sell a decent amount without licensing. Imagine how much more they’d sell with it. Cards would be drastically nicer with the licensing.

It's the wild wild west of card collecting ! Reminds me of the mid -late 1990's ( only 100X worse ) when I shut all my monster boxes,sets,inserts,subsets & money cards... some 150,000+ of them ( 1960 - 1998 ) & haven't touched them in 20+ years & don't really care ✌😎 It's more of a Card Stock market than hobby today,and what about the kids they can't afford the high dollar stuff and don't want the cheap stuff because they can't pull cards that "are worth this much" or "sold for this amount" Two mega cringe lines if there ever was any..... Glad I'm out... I'll watch someone else play the Sportscard lottery game !

2020...Lost two of my dogs to Cancer and Non-Cardiogenic Pulmonary Adema, Earthquake, VIrus, Hate everywhere, and the hobby I have loved for 38 years is overtaken by Flippers fighting in Targets over cards. Local Card shops included are buying all the retail, and Topps doesn't increase prices.. they double them.

@@jeremystark3350 Thanks Jeremy! who's your favorite player? I've been ok with buying hobby but I can't even support LCS's that buy up all the retail.. I'll walk straight out if I see them selling bowman blasters etc for 49$, and I'm one to pick up something when I go in lol.

The prices for this product are crazy. I won't be buying any of this. I'd rather buy individual cards on ebay or auction groups.

Topps offered these at $219 on website today. Not much better than the $269 mentioned from distributors but I love Bowman so grabbed couple boxes at Topps pricing. Definitely won't buy the one from the distributors and can't wait to see what the flippers try to pull

My son and I bought the boxes at our local card shop, and got nothing special. Not to impressed with this release. We also bought a mega box of Tops Chrome for only $75, we got more out of that.

jeff smith I used to buy boxes all the time up until even last year. Now my local baseball card store can’t even get product because of massive breaks. Bricks and mortar stores will be gone soon and with it, the whole of the hobby.
