Awesome Mike Im looking forward to testing this and testing against this!! All in good fun of course!! TaylorRC 35 against TMR 35.2 !! Criticism ….welcomed.
Sounds good, thats what the hobby SHOULD be about, fun, advancing tech and friendly competition between brands, i have no doubt we will receive hate from small minded others but thats just a side effect of success. Take care guys
Brilliant, beautiful, stunning. Pictures of this engine now adorn my shop wall. It’s lightweight and yet so powerful for its size. This is, for me, always where the most fun is. Having a light fast, sharp platform that feels like it wants to float with torque. You built my dream engine sir. I will own one, I will treat it like Cleopatra in the shop, and like Jessica Rabbit in the fields! Thank you for all that you do, there are countless gearheads like me that dream of your machines!
We will release more info in time, however please dont expect full dyno data, there is a little too much false info on the internet regarding RC engines and their HP, so have no intention of getting sucked into that trap. The videos will speak for themselves we believe
This is what I've been waiting for. I'm doing a rebuild and getting it ready for my first Taylor RC Engine. I've put my order in just waiting for that email from Mike to purchase at the end of the month. Woohoo 😃
Haha thats the plan! We will release more info in time, however please dont expect full dyno data, there is a little too much false info on the internet regarding RC engines and their HP, so have no intention of getting sucked into that trap. The videos will speak for themselves we believe
@@jerseyjasongasrc2576 thank you Jason! I always appreciate your advice brother. I’ve been in touch with mr. Taylor a few times today and I will be receiving one of the first! Happy new year my brother!
Hello Mike. Happy New Year! Few question? 1. How many HP this little beast has? 2. Will this fit Losi 5ive-T / Rovan LT? 3.Can I use my existing exhaust ? 😁 Thanks
Hey Alex, sorry slow reply! We dont quote HP, too much BS in the marketplace sorry, we dont want to get involved, our videos will do the talking on HP, im sure of that! yes it will fit into a Losi 5T, in fact it fits every single Gas 1/5 scale that takes a Zen or CY engine. Yes you can use any normal exhaust
That looks sick looking forward to the final piece can never have to many 👍👍👍what's the word on the outlaw v2 hybrid front cage and links will you have more stock?
Just happen to be building losi 5b kit now will new spark plug protected aluminum one will it fit the 35cc? Comes with plastic stock guard don’t know if that fits
Hey Harry The shim just goes on the end of clutch housing to extend it for certain cars. Use it on cars like the HPI baja, kraken vekta etc which need deeper clutch housings. And then Cars like the Losi 5T that dont, simply dont use it
No current plans for a reed version at this time. We still have a few years to continue development of this new platform and get more and more performance from the engine first. As long as we can keep producing more performance and reliability than then next best engine than im quite happy staying with a piston port. This new engine is extremely upgradable for future with new heads, new cylinders etc that all can bolt onto the existing original engine. So we can always stay ahead of the game
hey ronnie, hope you are well? We arent taking pre-orders yet, but simply sign up for a "back-in-stock" notification on our website and we will email you as soon as its open for ordering Thanks

We generally dont get too involved in HP numbers, hence why its not on the site. There are too many firms in RC making numbers up to try look good, we feel that our running videos don't lie and show TAYLOR is number one for RC engines haha. Anyway we did create a HP scaling factor so you can compare to other numbers out there from major RC companies, the 35cc is putting out around 10HP.
@@TAYLORRC that sounds like you are scared to say man got to be honest. Full disclosure rather than dodging is what I am looking for. I have an obr full mod 30.5cc motor and was interested in taylor rc but you just showed me I already have the better product. Thanks for that generic answer.
@@lilbitrc7017 Respect your opinion Michael, but generally we find guys prefer straight up honesty over BS. I hope one day youll see a taylor engine run and maybe we can tempt you or change your mind :) Our guys have just finished three years straight of complete domination in the 1/5 scale dragster extreme class.
I thought the RC business was dead I notice Horizon Hobby (Losi) is dead HPI gone to 💩 I remember the good old days Brooklands Raceways & Crystal Palace RC Track

Appreciate your opinion! But we have far more advanced tech in terms of design and cylinder than anything on the market, so a reed wasn't needed to get the output for our goals. In my opinion it all comes down to performance per dollar without reliability compromise. But theres loads of other companies modding Zenoahs into reed engines if thats your thing, respect
Reeds are great for torque and low down power but ive got 2 reeds and they dont rev as high as my piston port engines and i want mid to top end power So cylinder design is the only way to get that power curve realistically.
