So, over the weekend (8-26-23) i tried this stuff out in a new 16" 223 wlyde from bear creek. out of 3 30 round mags i had 6 or 7 casings to get stuck in the chamber upon firing. I had to mortar them out and had to use a cleaning rod on the last one. Moa was poor too. Switched to some pmc green tip and no issues. Taking some to a reloader friend of mine to have him look at it. I will update when i get the feedback.
@@TheHide Went back out this weekend. Tried 1 more box of it. 2 more were stuck in the chamber. Cycled 200 rounds of pmc green tip fine. Moa was good on the green tip too. Gave a box of this to my friend and he shot 25 rounds,no issues through his sig 5.56. Either my rifle is picky or the tight tolerances of it being "wylde" or this stuff is strictly training ammo. I gave 2-3 people more of this. il post back on results when i get em.
Herd back from the people that tried it. All of them had problems with them getting stuck in the chamber and having to be mortared out. Moa at best was 4-5 inches at 100 yards. This stinks. I figured i would update the results for people that spend time to read comments.
🇦🇺😎👍Down here in Australia we only have the major brands like Winchester,Remington and federal etc. Unfortunately we don’t have smaller companies to compete so we pay full price for everything…spray and pray with that batch though… good shooting….223 down is (PMC) 85 cents per shot at a cheap shop atm.
🇦🇺😎👍Hey big fella we don’t have Biden but we do have President Scrabble. I’m sure they are related. This fool is useless and he’s messing up our country at an alarming rate. All deliberate I’m sure @@CatfishingChris
If you want to see if it’s the barrel I’ll bring down WOA and Wilson Combat barreled ARs for you to try. Just let me know. Good video and review as normal!
I shot this out of my JRA Galil and 2 out of the 4 shots jammed. The second one jammed so bad I couldn’t get the other one out until I got a damn hammer and chisel. Never had any issues with American eagle or Winchester but my gun did not like this ammo.
If you can do a review on this really soon with something else id appreciate it. I just stocked up on this and im kinda worried. Its going through a BCA upper as well. dang.
That BCA shoots MOA with other ammo so Im confident in its performance. The ammo however shoots howit was designed. Great load for target work and training. Hope this helps, thanks for watching..
@TheHide I understand. But heck ol pmc and wolff has better groups then this. Lol. I guess it's why it's 20 bucks for a box of 50. Can you do a vid of the grouping with another rifle just to confirm? I purchased it because its ss109. Much appreciated.
@CatfishingChris Only other AR in 5.56 i have is my 10.5" SBR. Not sure that would really do it any justice either. If i end up with another upper at some point ill try an work it in.
I own 3 different 556 bca ar15s . That ammo is hitting all over the place. It's gotta be the ammo i know u and ur rifle r way more accurate than that. I've been wanting to stock up some 7.62x39mm in this new republic brand mainly just after plinking and then reloading some good hopped up hunting rds so I'd be after the brass mainly. 10 bucks a box I'll buy it. Range day it. And pick it up
Wow, that accuracy is so awful, that i have to wonder if there were loose screws in your optics mounting system. Base? Rings? And did you use blue loc-tite?
I think we’re in a time in history when we don’t want to be experimenting with ammo. Buy good quality stuff, period. I don’t understand the term range ammo, just for plinking, just for fun. We’re way past all that.
Anyone tried the 7.62x39 brass case new republic rounds out yet? No reviews on the website about it yet. Appreciate any feedback. Thanks for sharing this one.
Yes i have, bear creak arsenal ar15 as well. It ran 150 rounds flawlessly with no hiccups. Gun was kind of dirty too BEFORE shooting so i can’t really say how dirty this ammo gets but at 25 yards i got some really tight groups, about as good as my 5.56 PSA right under 1 moa. I’d like to push it a bit farther like 100-200 yards to really see how the accuracy compares to other cheap ammo. Also i have a 3.5lbs cmc trigger and managed to have no light primer strikes as well

How anyone could call SS109 "range ammo" is beyond me, but in this case, I can see it. I wouldn't buy it. Also, you could bump up your audio level. What rifle upper are you using, Bear Creek?
@@TheHide BCA might be a contributing factor to the accuracy issue. I know, rifles can dislike certain ammo brands, but in BCA's case, some of their uppers dont like any brand.
@@TheHide Fwiw, I have plenty of BCA experience. Lol. Not all good. I've had decent luck with their M-4 barrels in 416R stainless. I build all my uppers and lowers.
I have a BCA upper I put a 20” heavy BCA barrel on 1.8 twist it’s crazy accurate sub moa at 200 yards took it to SD shooting p doggs out to 400 with ease
@@TheHide You should be fine with pmc. Pmc fmj is great. anything pmc hollow point though does not expand. too much zinc in the lead. (too hard) as for the republic, its pretty bad as far as 5.56. I have no experience in pistol rounds. I wish it was decent. for the price id buy tons of it.
