Testing the reliability of brass cased 7.62x39 Ammo in my Bear Creek Arsenal AR15.
Belom, ATS X-Force, and New republic
It was all reliable in this rifle, and finally the gun functioned as it should.
My accuracy was not great though because the red dot is too big for long range shooting, at least for my eyes, and this was the first range trip I’ve had with this rifle where it didn’t break or get a casing stuck in the chamber, so I did not have it zeroed.
I apologize if the video is not as good as it could have been, I’ll have to revisit this later in the year,

I agree with your last comment: "Most people don't agree with a scope on a AR15 and I do not care". In order to test the accuracy of the different ammo: You need to select a good rifle and a good rifle scope. Once you do that, you can now determine what ammo is best. I use to train disabled veterans how to set up a scope correctly and how to shoot with them on an ar15. These guys were in combat and knew how to shoot an AR15 with accuracy only using iron sight and could still shoot ok at there old age. Some of them were older than 75 years old. However, when the scope was set up correctly, then they were shooting less than 1 moa groups. Not bad for disabled veterans. They had a ton of fun with the scope. Mr. Cranky Gun Reviews, buy the scope and have a ton of fun and produce good results for the next review.

Thanks! The red dot it ok for quick acquisition but it’s not for super accurate shots

@@crankygunreviews one of the comments from theoriginalOSOK was about you reviewing the ATS ammo. I came to your sight for the same reason. I wanted to better understand the cons and pros of the ATS ammo. You may want to devote some time to this ammo, since many people are asking if it is worth purchasing or not.

@@jumpjumps197 I plan to, I just don’t have a ton of range time. I did shoot it in my AK and my Ruger American ranch

Ive not used a red/green dot but i did win a PFI 1x6x24 7.62x39/ 300blkout bdc "rapid reticle" optic on another guntubers channel which is why im getting a bca ar47 upper. I am budget minded as well and was just checking ammo selections & belom/pmc for brass ammo.

Definitely stick with brass ammo, and I would recommend getting a spare firing pin, and maybe extractor. I broke the extractor on one range trip, and the firing pin on another- I think I have “Right to bear” parts in my bolt now

@crankygunreviews yes sir been researching it and those parts & buffer weight/ spring mentioned alot. Thanks for info ! Bca also doesn't recommend steel case ammo.

Yeah I know they don’t recommend steel. But it’s 7.62x39, I had to try

My eyes need some zoomies to see target at distance! There's deals on optics , lpvo's , 1x6...its useful to put rounds on target , lol. They make mounts for ak's

I bought a cheap side rail, deciding on what to use for optics, I have a 3-9x scope I may throw on it for now,

I found your channel bc you are reviewing the ATS ammo - I'm seeing it as the second best priced 7.62x39 currently available... so I wanted to see if its worth purchasing. And comrade, you need to ditch that AR upper and get yourself an AKM or SKS. The beauty of the 7.62x39 is it's reliability and ruggedness - and adequate accuracy. Just MHO. Thanks for the review! Oh, and I haven't finished the whole vid but was hoping to hear if it's boxer primed and therefore easily reloadable... being that it's brass cased.

I have both an AKM (VSKA) and an SKS. I don’t think they’re boxer primed, but I haven’t checked

Is that a crimson trace red dot? I have one on a .22 and its ok but wouldn't teyst it to hold 0 on anything larger.

I have a few crimson trace red dots. They’re great on 9mm PCCarbines and AR’s. Mine have held zero fine, but beyond 50 yards the dot is as big as most targets lol

need to show the target down range as you shoot, no offense but couldn't stick around to watch you just shoot. no subscribe for now. good luck

The targets are in the video. This is a hobby not a job, so I don’t have 4 cameras and unlimited time to edit these.

We’re not supposed to use scopes on ARs? I’ve never been one of the cool kids. Why start now?! And I can’t see that far with a red dot. 🇺🇸

Red dots to me are ok for 25 yards on a rifle, beyond that I want at least a 3-9 scope
