After wheeling in both old and new 4x4s, each have their benefits, but one thing is for sure, trail-damage on a new pricey rig seems to sting a little more than on the old workhorse!

I agree! A new overland/off road rig would be sick, but I'd have a bunch of stress with doing the stuff I do now with the WJ with a 40k+ rig with a payment. It's really hard to beat the value of WJs for what you get

Hy man, keep it up I got a wj as well, I was on an overland setup but transitioned to more street on some 33x12.50r20s and i kinda want to go back with the overland setup with every vid I see of yours lmao.

Thanks for watching! It's my daily also which I think it's still great with stock axles, stock gears, and 37's! The 4.7 makes easy work of it while still getting decent milage. It would be cool to have a clean stock one on 33's though.

I think the biggest difference between old and new 4x4 rigs is the on road performance. Obviously there are many other little differences, but old rigs are just as capable with similar upgrades (lift, tires, locker, etc)

Appreciate you watching! I'm going to do my best moving forward. I do really like filming and making them. The shop videos are tough, but once I get both rigs completed, it will be easier for me to make fun content on the trails!

Both are great loooking rigs. Im partial to the wj but admittedly its hard to look down on that magnum motor. On another note the fam.and i are heading down to eureka in June. We wont have the jeeps, just our silverado so not looking for anything too exciting but Ny tips on off the beaten paths to go?
