@Edwin Zamorano the older c38 wheels come with a branded dtswiss label on the hub which is the same easy maintenance as the newer 370LN hub..they actually look very similar to each other..370LN, and the older 350 that came on the older c38 wheels are basically the same..
@Edwin Zamorano now the the ceramic hubs that are not branded and have dtswiss eternals are more maintenance..you need a special tool to take them apart..the bike shop does it with ease..but overall all of these hubs are reliable and require low maintenance...the branded dtswiss hubs with the ratchet system are easier to pop off and maintain at home
@@EdwinZamorano I like these because you can easily upgrade to 36T or 54T and it's possible to do it on your own, because no tools are required. All you'll need is mechanical aptitude.
Helpful video! I got the c38's with an SL7 a month or so ago, unfortunately getting a squeak from the bearings within the hub, so think I'll seize the chance to upgrade the ratchet to a 54 while I'm working on it
Did you not to add any extra ratchet grease? I did that with the last Roval hoops I upgraded (rapide CL) and I now have the newer tubeless version. Wondering if I leave out the extra grease on these…
@@bryanpaschalvlogs i use a minimal dab of "special grease" too. Have to say that the new DT Swiss hub is definitely quieter than the previous version i had in my older Roval Rapide's but they are getting louder with wear. just not as unsocial ha ha
Anyone know noise/sound level of when spin them? Like to know how loud to expect they can be I'm building mine with carbonal rims, DT Swiss 180 and berd spokes (yet to buy the parts)
180s are a different system these days, exp, it’s a much louder system and I believe comes with a 36tooth system. Make sure to regrease every 500-600miles or and way more this chap has or you’ll be going through ratchets like nobody else. My roval alpinist clx and rapide clx have 180 internals once they get loud they will stay that way even once regreased
Great job. So YOUR HONEST TRANSPARENT opinion OVERALL with THIS EMONDA SL6 PRO 2022 model! Ride QUALITIES, also, 10:17 COMFORTABLE? Now SAME perspective on THE NEW WHEELS!!! Thanks 🚴🏻♂️🚴🏻♂️🚴🏻♂️🚴🏻♂️
My honest opinion is the Emonda is light, sleek and FAST! The ride quality with the new wheelset helps me maintain faster speeds! Overall 10/10 so far for the performance!
Grease them dude your going to shorten the life of the of the rachets and I mean drastically, the 54s need be looked after, a pea sized amount of grease rubbed all over every 5-600 miles while youre in there wipe the old away with a rag don’t spray anything in there other disc brake cleaner or say good by to your inner drive side bearing in short order.
