Agree that the new test will to be better with the bleep test added. Did the PJFT back in 2021 and it was pretty easy. Got to lympstone and got injured running in the 3rd week of the ROP due to lack of prep. Got sent home and told to come back in a couple of years when ready. Reapplying next year can’t wait

I went through the exact same situation as you. Strong passes on the pjft but an injury from running in rop took me out of training. Getting to the standards for PJFA will make more people well rounded so seems a better test

Unfortunate that you didn't make it the first time. But hey at least you've got the advantage of knowing what to expect for next time. I'm on the opposite end of the spectrum I can run for miles absolutely fine but when it comes to the press ups and especially doing sit ups to a beep I leave a lot to be desired. Good luck with the training and your application you'll smash it this time

My recruiter sent me the new PJFT Minimum 30 press up 40 sit up 10.5 bleep test I currently max 60 sit-up 45 press up Just hope these is true 💪

Max scores are: 16 pull ups 60 press ups 80 sit ups Bleep test 14 or so

Great intel. Question, does the RM beep test include the 2 metre check lines at each end? ie got to be within that at time of beep. Have seen that on some vids- or is it strictly foot needs to touch line at or before time of bleep. Thanks

This is the best video I've seen explaining the new test. Everyone seems to be saying its just 30 press ups, 40 sit ups, 4 pull ups and a bleep test. I've got mine booked for the 17th of January

@@CompleteCommando will do. Already passing it comfortably just trying to get to the max reps now. Any advice on building strong legs? I live in the Highlands so I don't have access to a gym so strengthening my legs is a bit of a challenge

@@Ell_tell well I don't really have a routine tbh just practice makes perfect. One thing that might help is if you do a set of 10 have a 30 second rest then a set of 9 and so on so forth. A couple additional exercises that might help are planks and tricep dips. Hope this helps. Let me know how you get on👍

So it’s gone full circle to what it used to be? It’s all about balls-out max effort rather than what looks like learning to pace yourself(?). Those standards have to be maintained!!! 💪🏻

Hey i have my cpc in january all i can find is stuff for marines haha is the 10.5 bleep test,push ups minimums etc same for submariners * what im joining as* aswell as royal marines seems abit mad but not much info on it thank you! Life saver with the uploads! Currently doing 10.6 bleep 46 press up 44 sit ups 9 pull ups

okay so i have a question as im currently busy with my joining application and have been preping for the pjft+ which i think they still make me d because im applying from a South Africa. I wanted to ask what are the minimum standards required for this new assessment? is that public information yet?

Not pass or fail however if you do better you’ll get in way quicker than if you do crap. These are the pass marks for CPC. Bare in mind these are minimum standards that no one should be happy getting: Max press ups - pass mark: 30 Max sit ups - pass mark: 40 Max pull ups - pass mark - 4 Max bleep test: - pass mark - 10.5

yeah it is luckily, unfortunately i am one generation to far so i cant get a ancestral visa even though both my parents can which is a bit annoying but one of those things and well i've always wanted to join the military so i said fuck a work visa and yeah a couple months into my application hopefully i will be on my way in a few more @@guardian2-735

Is this officially confirmed the PJFT has officially been swapped out for the PJFA? RN mod website still says CPC (+ PJFT) Just don’t wanna train for PJFA and end up having to do PJFT

Right now im the most unfit i have been in ages i need to lose roughly 15 kg to be at 85 kg maybe and turn my fat into mucsle im about 186cm so 2cm off of 6’2 im gonna be 18 in august and would like to enroll into the royal marines how long do you think it would take me to get back into shape and increase stamina before enrolling i have a lot of drive and do not give up Can you help advise me on how to get back into shape please (Please get back to me) thankyou 🫡❤ I can run 2 miles in 30 minutes with walking breaks not good And im barely touching 10 press ups im ashamed but im trying to improve daily

Dont qorry about it mate, we all started there. I used to go for a 1 mile run a few times a week, but would usually end up walking 90% of the way. Felt ashamed to walk past people in full running gear but what can you do As for increasing numbers for exercises, it all starts by moving. Make sure you are moving frequently, even if its 1 pushup an hour. Trust me, it makes all the difference Strength comes from your rest periods, so you wont notice changes until you're tired and take a few days off Finally, even if it doesnt apply im real tests anymore, the old PJFT+ test is a very useful daily workout. Even if you cant complete one 5 minute round perfectly, it still puts you in the right direction. You can find the audio online. Over time you can work on your form (pushups: elbows touching your hips, situps: elbows passing top of knee) but you dont need to work on that from day 1 Keep up the good work mate
