When crappies move shallow in the spring their strike zones become small. Having a presentation that can stay in their strike zones for a prolonged period will help your odds of putting fish in the box!
Ive been using tungsten ice jigs for years now. However i fish em under a small slip float tipped with a 1 inch gulp minnow. Absolutely deadly. Nice crappies!
Been using 1/8 oz marabou jigs for years, white/red, chartreuse/ black, tipped or not tipped with minnow. Used a lot of tungsten through ice last couple of years with plastics. Will try those tungsten’s this spring!! Here in south Michigan
Hermoso, hermoso, hermoso lugar para la pesca de súper crappies, felicidades por este pasatiempo tan bonito. Qué viva la pesca, para ustedes gracias por este video y presentación de los señuelos con los qué pescan.
I take a small crappie and put on a bobber behind the boat when they are stacked up. I have caught big bass and catfish doing this. When I say big ;my ex caught three monsters this way. After that she knew the temp , depth , bottom, cover , moon phase and some more stuff about crappie. She didn't care for them it was all about the bass and catfish.
@@SportsmansJournalTV thanks as I sit and rewatch the episode dreaming of Spring. Already have a few lakes and spots in mind. Thanks again for the great shows!
I watch a lot of videos and most females keep the rod low and put strain on the reel. You know how to make the rod work for you. Love to watch you guys.
What a FUN day on the water, you both had a Blast !!! Curious as to what size hook you are using for these Crappie ? I mainly fly fish, either in my Hyde drift boat, or wading but I do have a nice ultra light outfit to use when I go to a few small lakes in my area. I did check the website of the Freedom Baitz & there isn't a shop in my area so I'll probably get some thru their website. If I order some of these baitz I will definitely try using this bait on my fly rods. I'll develop a fly pattern that incorporates these plastics. Why not try & see what happens. Please keep these videos coming !! David M. Clunk - Fisher-of-Men Fly Tying & Fly Fishing Instruction Ada, Michigan
Hello folks. Love the show. I just want to say I ve been doing that since 2016. Introduced to several people and they r using it even to today. I use a cherry wood 6’, light rod with 4lb , spider wire and 1/32 oz jig head. Blk/pink works super but it changes year to year.
