I ordered the silent version yet i wish they had the 5pin version its annoying with these cable harness. Great idea with the SHORT throw. Waiting till it arrives. I have now many stick levers from Sanwa JLF silent GEN 1,2 and 3, Hori Hayabusa optical silent (gosh very good stick my nr-1 silent lever its a RARE find luckily i have 2 of these), Seimitsu LSQ 40 silent (good but the spring is to stiff imo), Sanwa JLX silent Gen4 with adjustable switches (very smooth nice stick love it probably my second favorite silent). Best Silent levers IMO: Nr-1 - Hayabusa Optical Silent + oversized actuator + 1.5lbs spring (needs sanding down to edges of actuator in order to fit the optical) Nr-2 - Sanwa JLX Silent + Red actuator + blue spring 1.5lbs and blue square gate. Nr-3 - Sanwa JLF Silent Gen1 just a smooth nice stick overall. (Sanwa JLF Silent Gen2 with the STIFFER swithes is good but cant get used to the stiffer switches + not allowed to change gate) Nr-4 - PAS Magenta programable Joystick its an analog magnetic stick uses an app to change throw, engage, cardinals, diagonals and can store 4 settings but expensive 99 bucks. Nr-4 - Seimitsu LSQ40 Silent could be so much better if i just could have a LESS stiffer spring it feels amost like a "1.8lbs - 2lbs" spring and you CAN'T use a LS-32 spring in it or a JLF spring...what a shame! Also the clicky ones from Hayabusa to Sanwa JLF and Sanwa JLX, LS-32-01 + PAS oversized gold metal actuator (sweet stick gonna order also the STEEL LS-32 Pivot which can reduce or nullify the infamous "pivot bump/hop"), LS-40-01, LS-56-01 used with and without KOWAL gate mod, and a silent Programable Magenta Joystick (expensive but you can adjust through an app the throw, engage etc very nice its from "ParadiseArcade"). Best clicky stick =..........Sanwa JLF with an OTTO mod WOW get this MOD on your JLF i have the Version OTTO V5, (OTTO V2 = mod to replicate Korean stick for Tekken) EXCELLENT mod its the NUMBER 1 best clicky stick MOD period, very short throw FAST engage buttery SMOOTH, precise just love the thing! However its rather expensive mod ie 29 eur....Will also order the Qanba Gravity silent lever in the near future (56 euro). If anyone has questions about any of the sticks i own feel free to ask.
Wow that's a lot of different sticks will be definitely interested in your thoughts on the 70X, i seen videos on the sanwa JLF with an OTTO mod not heard one bad thing about it.
@@RetroTunaThx yeah the newly released Sanwa JLX Silent is also VERY good second favorite silent stick but DO use the red actuator, blue spring (or red spring for more stiffness) and their blue or red square gate or their yellow octagonal gate sweet combo(s) the red actuator makes it NOTICEABLE shorter mod. And if you want you can change the actuation on the switches it has manual settings with a knob from setting 1 to 5 very neat. Get it for fighting games. Shoot em up get a LS-56. Sure i will give feedback on the 70X Silent once i get it have good hope for it.
@@lawshadow1581 now they have released that new sanwa with the adjustable fro I wouldn’t mind trying it out looks interesting, well hope your day joy the 70X.
Nice review. Just placed my order last night so this is going to be interesting since there where very limited info on the lever before. Btw that too me doesn't like like the ls40 pivot. Atleast not how my ls40q looks like. It looks like my Ls38 which is a ls32 with a stiffer sprinf tho
Got a SEIMITSU LSQ-40-MS Silent Joystick a few months ago; is this joystick a replacement in their range or an alternative? I'm still making my mind up about the stick; fireball motions aren't coming as easy to me for whatever reason.
Hello this is a new stick based on the last-56 but with the new features a new line of sticks, I have a few standard Ls-40 sticks and the throw is a little bigger, what I normally do is take the blue restrictive gate of the bottom you know that one that 4way and 8 way you don’t need it and it make doing fireballs a little easier give it a try
Thanks for the review. Can you please advise regarding the throw of the lever? I know you said it has an extreme short throw but I have doubts as I use a LS-56 with the Kowal short throw mod which literally makes the throw extremely short. Can you compare it with that?
i know someone that has the same stick and kowal mod and an 70X and he said there about the same, he also tryed the mod on the 70X and said it fits but didnt make a diffrence to the throw. Not having one myself to test i can only go by his findings and i trust his word, also the 70X is based off the LS-56 but with diffrent mods so i suspect it's going to be pretty similar.
the new gate is an octagate but it feels like square gate its pretty cleaver design, but yeah your not going to see a huge difference from the setup you have.@@sohailqureshi2461
very tricky to messure but from the top middle of the balltop you move the stick 3 to 4mm and the microswitch clicks, it's very short throw and i think the same as the ls-56. i have used the stick on my vewlix cab and my 2 arcade sticks now since i dropped the video and it's my favorite arcade stick.
@@MrRubydoobs as far as i know they come with sanwa sticks so it should just drop right in no probs as the mounting plate has the same holes as sanwa, glad you liked the review and yeah i am still loving it i have 3 now lol.
Yes and no, I fitted one in there but I had to modify the mounting plate and drill holes also had to cut out a hole on the inside of the base, so if you have a grinder and a drill and a bit of time you can make it fit but it’s not easy
