Once you go Shiva you don't go back. I did a Mania run with Shiva and then jumped to Max ( for the achievements ) . I left it on 2nd or 3rd stage, I couldn't bear on how slow it was. Shiva's speed and gameplay it really locks me in and I find it hard to switch to characters with less mobility than Shiva. I main Axel and I try to play with all the characters but SOR4 Shiva is something else.

Countless times you've helped me when I hit brick walls. I would stop by and ask questions, and you two were always happy to help and encourage. I thought I'd never hit arcade mania S rank with axel, now I feel like maybe I can hit 100k mania+... With Shiva. I don't have patience for Axel anymore I think. I was a one trick forever until Shiva. You inspired me to put up my mania+ perfects with Shiva... I think I have 4 of them up. They just playthroughs no commentary. I wish I had something more to actually contribute but there's a whole lot I need to learn. But yeah! You the man!

Yessss mate LOVING the vid! Seems like we basically agree on Shiva's best moveset as well, I personally prefer Spirit Dance for the massive damage potential (and style points ofc lol) but I 100% get why you went with the Shin Hashinshou for perfects. Keep up the good work my man :D
@@BtwistGaming couple things that I've picked up S ranking Mania+ that might be helpful on your journey to Shiva mastery (if u want ideas)... "Down" air combo - bodies have collision on the way down, useful if you've started the air combo but there's some Kevins/Donovans coming towards you Combo ender/Charge kick - you can cancel and slide a little bit, similar to Axel's charge kick. You have a much smaller window to make it work and it's not as far, but charge kick + defensive special cancel has saved me many times. Doesn't seem to work if you actually hit with the charge kick tho Flaming Circular Kick - it has some off-the-ground when you face enemies towards the end of the kick. Useful to pick ppl back up, especially bosses for more combos/damage Spirit Kick - it actually has a "down" version (similar way that the Air Senretsuken does) that also has off-the-ground I believe. Not sure if the hitbox is the same as the normal version, might not be able to use the "down" version to counter Donovans like you did in the clip Flying Kick - can cancel into air special if you connect with the initial hits Back Attack/Spirit Palm - hit the back attack then quickly cancel into Spirit Palm for some great range and knockback, can also chain Flying Kick afterwards for more damage if u want. One of my personal favourites. Hope this helps!

Its a hard question. At the moment i am trying to do perfect stages on mania plus and shiva does well but maybe not the best compared to axel now. But in survival hes OP. So i think for the new modes he is somewhat balanced. So no nerf
