Yo.... I don't even like Shiva that much but his design and aesthetic makes you love him! lIke he's like the Green or White power ranger, sure Red and Blue and Pink are cool but eveyone loves the Green/White Ranger haha.
Once I realized Estel really excels at throwing HERSELF around a fight with her charge attack and default blitz move it changed everything for me. Her jump attack is another good example of how quickly her moves can reposition her in a fight. Her blitz can wall bounce, and you can immediately combo it into a charge attack from it to OTG enemies back into the air for ANOTHER blitz attack. Those two moves cause her to move quickly enough in a fight to straight up avoid most hits, and both moves seem to also have a pretty insane i-frame window. I replaced her front special with Sucker Punch since it's less punishable than her tackle and now I just kind of fly back and forth across the screen sweeping up bad guys in her charge and blitz, which can lead straight into Sucker Punch when it's safe for a quick burst of extra damage. My first time trying Mania+ I S-ranked all the way up through Skytrain on my first try, to my surprise. Art Gallery started throwing too many Condors at me, so I need to rethink my approach there...
Ahhh so much great detail. Yea i think they all have amazing potential for sure! So far im loving how quick and sexy shiva is. I think victor is going to main estel for a little bit so hopefully we get a good range on the channel. Im going for the golden perfects on mania + for now
I'm in love with Estel. Her combo + charge attack + forward special is so satisfying to do. Add air special for a little more damage when needed. Max's charge attack also hits people off the ground (just like Estel), it great to use on a boss in the corner. One thing that confused me about him is his throw where lightning strikes nearby enemies. It turns out you need to be grabbing enemies who are facing away from you to get that throw. Same with the air throw where he slams the opponent in his knee. Standard Shiva was a bit disappointing to me at first. He got two air specials, right? But they both feel like combo enders because it's hard to continue the combo after them. The recovery for his forward air special could be reduced to enable more juggling. Just my 2 cents anyway. I've just finished unlocking all alternate moves for everyone, so I'll get to experimenting.
Yea thats great insight for sure! I have been loving to use shiva with all the alt moves apart from neutral special, in story i use normal star and in survival i would use the alt star
If you bounce somebody off the wall with senretsu ken(offensive special) you can back attack them immediately right as they go behind you and follow it up with another senretsu Ken and then another one to continue your combo
For the story/arcade mode all you need is Max with Vortex Vacuum and Power Slide. All the playable characters in this game are super overpowered making it too easy.
Shiva is arguably the best in the game. Yeah, he is busted as fuck, but so much fun to play. Once you learn how to get the best of his air-combos, he melts bosses. Meanwhile, Estel has a kit is loaded with damage and utility; tons of AoE, one of the best OTGs, etc. In fact, she and Shiva pair amazingly well in Survival. Max is great and hits like a bulldozer, but he suffers from the same problems of his SoR2 incarnation: way too slow. Mania+ is a nightmare with him. Sure, he is faster than Floyd, however, but Floyd has the best jab in the entire game.
Did you see, playergodaines Just released a new video with Axel and impressive combos (and I mean IMPRESSIVE) I was about to put Axel in the trash myself (although he's been my main from the start) but he made me change my mind.
@@shivaultrachannel here's a kill combo as him. First, get a victim in the corner Then final crash them and follow it up with a air special. Then air combo(3 hits) then air special again. As soon as you go on the ground use your offensive special. As soon as the victim goes behind you back attack then follow it up with another offensive special. Offensive special again and this time you can do the full air combo on your victim just remember to air special them immidiently afterwards. Then do another air combo(3 hits) then air special. At this point anyone with health lower than a players should die after this combo is done to them
Although axel is my favorite when it comes to playing I have to accept that shiva is better in streets of rage 4 although it is rare since they have the same power statistics such as jump and speed only that shiva surpasses axel in stamina and because he can run
Max is great, but I find his short hit box frustrating, with Donovans etc hitting me before I can hit them. Shiva is clearly the best character, I'm surprised there's even a discussion here. I'm mediocre but after playing survival with him a bunch of times I went the whole way through mania+ with him getting S each time bar two levels? I mean, I originally struggled to finish Y island at all on Mania, it took me weeks to beat. Ps. I use that ridiculous alternate blitz move of his, and alternate star move. Like I said, I'm mediocre, I've never done a wall bounce combo in my life, but Shiva makes the whole game too easy! Going to play as Estel for a while just for the challenge
Donnie (Yen) is the man lol Donnie from SOR... Not so much🤣 Max is currently my favorite player, I guess I even completed the game using the Powerslide only
Power slide rules BUT I noticed that unlike SoR2 Max, SoR4 Max hops a little before he slides, which causes Donovans and Kevins to air punish Max if you're not careful!
Estel got that Terry Bogard Crack Shoot, also She has the best crowd control her flash bang keeps people in place 1 crack shoot with FB pops enemies up for more combos her wall bounces is excellent. I've said it before I think its cheating using Shiva lol
She also has Ralph desperation move. The one with all those punches on the floor. And Shiva has Omega Rugal move from KoF98.(that one that that he stands still and moves from one side of the screen to the other)
