After more time I'm discovering that the Grounded perk has its place especially in higher levels. Those bonuses are extremely helpful. I still stand by this build to get to circa level 30.
Chakrams used it in his 5-hour run to level 113: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-k5xSBhc106w.html If you get Air Master a few times, you can bounce around at a low height.
That's the funny thing about Survival Modes, after you've played through them enough times, go back into Story Mode; and the realization hits: "Holy crap, since when did it get so easy?" Gaming Fact: Survival Mode turns you into a force of gaming nature.
Shiva has everything under the kitchen sink. But I wouldn't necessarily call him broken. His inclusion has made me grateful that I no longer have to cling to characters like Adam, Cherry, or SoR3 Skate. He's super fun to play with especially when you apply all the different perks in Survival Mode. He simply has an answer for any enemy type.
Estel is my main but there's been times where my Shiva is the character I used to break my survival records. I also believe even though he can't use weapons conventionally like the rest of the cast....that he's ironically the best character with weapons. Once you have a weapon in a juggle state, you can keep reflecting it against enemies and burn off their health insanely fast.
@@Redwill85 Yup. His weapon palm strike is so addictive when you mix it in with combos & juggles. His gameplay is so addictive that you just wanna keep playing with him. You wanna see how far you can go with his combo strings before you cash in those hit points.
@@RandomBlackGamer That's until they nerf him into ground D= instead of bring that fun factor to the other characters in fun in unquiet ways. At least i hope they don't break the character or characters.
A great trick for fighting goros is if you're ever facing against him in a stage with pitfalls....make sure his back is facing the out of bounds edge...walk up... grab...and just let him break out of the grab. He'll dash backwards and fall outta the stage.
Ground Level is a must even with Shiva. The final hit of Shiva’s auto-combo and doubling back attack makes Shiva high-kick. This allows Shiva to jump even with the Ground Level Perk and all Air Masters work.
7:35 I've brought this up in a few videos now, but mainly because I'm trying to draw attention to it. If the combo damage gets too high, namely 32,767 (educated guess), it seems an arithmetic overflow occurs and wraps around to -32,768 - watch your score drop when the combo is rewarded.
Shut up dude. Do not screw up with the game. Your opinion is not the opinion of everybody. This mode is hard as hell, this trophy is boring, and this character aways was op and that's the way he need's to be. Don't screw up with everything dude.
with final crash you can get the ground level perk along with the extra jump due to the fact it knocks the enemy in the air and with the extra jump you can use the air combo, so the more extra jumps you get the longer you can extend the combo
I actually used the "can't jump" perk, and I got to level 34 with it, so its not always bad. Besides, anti air enemies like Donovans and Barbons hit you when you are in the air anyway. But yes, upon testing glass cannon is garbage, I once had a turkey nearby and I got hit 3 times in a row and lost straight away. You cannot pick up food in time with this perk. Edit: Once, I got the "Hey buddy" 3 times and I got Mr Y as an assist, and he had loads of health for some reason.
I also got stuck on stage 34. The enemies hit faster than I can spam the star moves. I have died on level 34 three times now the same way. Accidental grab and game over. It happens because there are so much mayhem on the screen I cant tell that I have grab anyone.
In the last update I think they nerfed the toxic update to where it takes a while to grab it because I remember first playing this update and the toxic move with Shiva I was able to get to level 50
I keep final crash on, with the additional jump it can lead to insanely long air combos (good for regaining health when it gets low) Shive also has an air down special that safely lands him from the air (for those Anti Air enemies)
this guy:i am not so good in this game (reached 33 level) me:playing this game series since sega, consider myself good player, playing SOR4 game almost everyday, have 600+ hours already, but managed to reach only 21 level.
Didn't know this game existed. I have just completed the first game with my 4yo on the ps4 emulator and game pack. Can 2 players play co-op on this game?
Broken characters make game's more fun, And RU-vidrs need to stop letting the Dev,s know about this, because they will patch the game, and take more fun away from the game.
@@swigzby I know exactly what it means in gaming terminology. I feel as if he should be "broken" being that he is Shiva and I do Not want him to get nerfed so I asked was he trying to. What's wrong with that?
@@donniebravo19 just because he said Shiva was broken it doesn't mean he thinks he should be nerfed. Usually when people say something is broken they mean they think it may end up getting nerfed, not that it should be.
Another great tool you can use is Senretsuken with the "Old School" perk (no green life on specials) and "Blood Thrist", if you add electrical and fire elements it becomes a beast that can combo into itself almost infinitely if you get all the enemies infront of you. You heal the life lost with a couple of flying kicks and you're good to go.
Eh, The only risk with Flying Kick is The Arena. Now, there are two kinds of Arena: The Electric Fence Ring and then there's the other one: The Pit. Gotta be careful with that flying kick or you're likely to go flying off into the pit or off stage which costs health to respawn back. From what I noted also is that Final Crash has one weakness: Donovans. That uppercut that hits you when you're in the air is a pain. Final note: Glass Cannon is for Experts. Like, combine Glass Cannon with Blood Thirst and you heal 102% health. The risk? Defense is at -100% but that's not a problem except for the Environmental Hazards. Volcano stage with the fireballs and lava geizers. Sometimes it's that rain and wind stage where lightning tries to strike you. Sometimes it's the factory stage with the laser beams, bombs or crusher. Other times its the Arena and those wrecking balls. Be aware of your surroundings, think fast and act fast.
I think most players who've been playing the DLC know about this. Cherry's my main and been my main since this game came out a year ago. I managed to get a level 42 on survival with her. Good video man👊🏿
Yeah I'm just like you. I thought me ping ponging a grip of enemies from wall to wall with boot mark and charging strong was super OP....then tack on police tackle to finish a boss with mad elemental buffs...holy shit. I mean her air punch dive makes her insanely evasive and mobile. Following up the dive attack with a charge strong and do it all over. Good lord.
When did this DLC come out?! I’m so far behind! 🤦🏾♂️ Once I mastered it last year, I figured it was all over. So glad to blow the dust off and slap some combos together again!
With the combo damage perk Heat of Battle, you need to hit 49 hits to get your damage back up to 100%, and then ~98 hits to break even on the amount of total damage you would have done prior to taking the perk.
The Heat of Battle upgrade is the next most useful perk in the game besides Blood Thirst. Combine those two with damage/defense upgrades as well as elements (particularly on blitz moves), stockpile stars, and your chances of survival are greatly increased.
I personally really like to have defensive perks over extra damage. imho that's what's going to keep you going past lvl 30. I would never pick the ally upgrade over a defensive buff. All my 25+ runs were runs where I got a lot of defence.
@@luismaldonado5519 not exactly, it's a great bonus, indeed, but i have gotten up to stage 45 and without deff bonuses, you are pretty much dead in one hit, that's why grounded perk is so great, let's you have up to 40% deff including deff bonus (15+25) and then the deff one when below 50% HP is a must have too
@@luismaldonado5519 bloodthirst is a must, you just can't hope for a good run without it. and damage does help durability, but think about it: 40% defence vs 40% attack: - 40% damage: an enemy hits you for 100 damage, you take 60 damage instead, and have to deal 750 unbuffed damage (750*0.08 = 60) to get back to full health. + 40% attack: an enemy hits you for 100 damage, you have to deal 890 unbuffed damage (890 * 1.4 * 0.08 = 100) to get back to full health. so defence > attack in terms of durability even without factoring in the fact that you can get killed in one hit if you have no defence
Hahahaha that is my build except I use the glass cannon for the health regen. And grab defense items to make up for the defense loss. With Tanky characters I use glass cannon with 40% star score, and no jump. On SOR 1 characters I buff mostly weapons and watch how enemies health bars drop fast with 1 to few hits. If you want to reach above level 20 with easy use SOR1 characters with attack buffs and weapon buffs. They hit amazingly hard already and their capable of hitting enemies in nearby lanes unlike SOR3 and SOR4 characters.
I prefer to stay grounded ( the power up)because you can still do aerial combos after the initial combo chain or strong move. The buffs it offers are massive too. Poison does hella damage, but I agree fire/electricity for crowd control. Fire maybe even better due to knock down. Always pick spirit dance. Later on it is essential, from what I've seen. Random upgrades are no "random" but programmed week by week what they will be, least on the weekly sims. I think so too for the "random" Sims, but unsure Agreed on combos Great video!! I love Shiva and Cherry and have only gotto 33 barely play too haha. Once my studies are done I'm going to get at least to 50 >=D. I was running a defense and life drain build but will try the combo one later too. Great tips :)
Grounded perk is great with everyone, and Shiva is not out of it, it gives +15% deff, which is great, it's really needed for late stages, in which red enemies can kill you in 2 hits or even kill you with just one without that (even if you already have the 25%), also, it's not like you can't jump, you can when you are dashing, but in late stages (i have gotten up to 45) jumping is not useful at all, is just like if you want to lose on purpose
I just got too 31 on this week challenge mostly but getting the point bonus ones and then I got the one that drops your super special bye 50% but adds all elements that thing is unfair with Shiva
@@adrianhazzard6665 his tier list doesn't include any defensive perks. You can't get very far past lvl 30 without defensive perks. Enemies hit like a truck
Hey thanks, man. Nah, there are other channels that are much more knowledgeable about the other characters and fighting styles. I'll upload if I get any new ideas. Thanks for watching 😁
more than buffeting the characters to put them at the same level as shiva, you have to nerf shiva and the characters that require it. everyone wants the first option ... but then it will no longer be about a person being skilled with the character .If all the characters are broken, it would reach a point where you only have to spam to go far in survival or to achieve records in mania +. I don't know about you, but I want to be good at using the character I have and be recognized for my ability to use the character, not only because I spam better than others, leaving shiva like that and buffing the characters the only thing that would be achieved is people just spamming ... and players would only be seen doing the same thing over and over again. skill and dexterity or it would become a boring game. a little common sense please !!
really the game is broken but its a great beat em up but there is a load of issues and the mobile game is more broke and the blood lust to me is broke as it heals you when you do damage yet the i do same damage as youtubers in the start levels but they seem to fill their health up with one flying kick yet i do the same and get hardly anything back and the late game is just blitz or spirit palm nonstop so to me it is not a game its just crap at least the story mode is good cept for the final boss witch is just dumb
They need to introduce a block feature and/or let the defensive special have priority over all enemy moves. Its very annoying when enemies grab (especially the damn commisioner) and you have to let them finish
Can anyone please tell me how to use the ability menu in the character select screen from the P4 I been tryna figure that out for while please anyone I really would appreciate it 🙏🏾
