Hello Chase and Ashley. Living Room looks great!. Just some advice, you might want to leave a note for the visitors that the fireplace is decorative only. If they see the wood there they might assume it's a working fireplace. I have heard this happening to others and would hate to see that happen to you guys. God Bless your new home and your Airb&b venture!

In her other videos she said she is going to do a full special floor polish I believe. I’m remodeling too, so my life revolves around these channels to get motivated haha.

I noticed that too! It is driving me crazy that all that dust and dirt even though she vacuumed is underneath the brand new clean rugs and furniture. I would’ve at least mopped first.

If you know Ashley from her videos, she's cleans like crazy. I'm sure she's cleaned these floors several times. They are original old floors and probably needs to be refinished.

I was going to say the same thing ! I couldn’t put new furniture and rugs on top of dirty and dusty floors, or paint on top of something I didn’t clean with water and soap very good , that’s me of course, it was driving me nuts to watch that hahaha 🤣, I was surprised she did that though. Anyways furniture and decoration looks very good 👍

It's beautiful, but I'm just wondering why you didn't clean the floors prior to putting the rug and furniture in? Maybe it's just the camera, but they looked kind of dusty and dingy.

Hey Ashley! As always, the transformation is beautiful, I really like your style!! The only, let's say, "eye sore" was the somewhat dusty floors. I wish you would have moped them first, before laying this beautiful rug..! I mean that in the nicest possible way!! Other than that, everything looks so cozy and nice! 👌👍👏

The day before moving this in we vacuumed and mopped all the floors. They are super dry so that may be what you were seeing. I used quick shine to get them looking good again. Thanks for watching!

That’s exactly what I thought, the floors are Not dirty, they are Dry. Wood floors are beautiful but must be hard to keep up with. That’s what my friend tells me.😫

Yep, I have wood floors and as beautiful as they are the upkeep is awful and frankly not worth it for me. I am saving up for LVP floors. People will prob think I’m crazy when the day comes and they get ripped out but I can’t wait.

Loved it. For some reason I liked the white fireplace the most rather than the black. I think white fireplace with black details such as black decals may have been nice. Your creativity is amazing. Love, love, love.

This video came up in my recommended, and I just have to say my husband and I also spray painted the floor vents in our house, we had a few of those, we also had these long style hvac vents along the baseboards that would have been harder to find so I spray painted those as well as the vents for the air return vents. Our house is older so it has the older vents BUT before we moved in the hvac was updated so even if all the vents were old/outdated… hvac works amazingly. We also spray painted some light fixtures that were brassy gold. With the cottage/vintage style coming back that I love… a lot of things in our house we kept… just gave them a makeover.

Ashley really beautiful, doing the drywall makes a mess it took me a long time to get all that dust up. I have floor to ceiling mirrors in my living room. But after numerous washes it came up thank God!

What a transformation ! Love it! It would look sooo cozy if you added a blanket ladder in the corner behind the arm chair closest to the window. I've also seen some air bnbs add some board games or records, I think something like that would be the cherry on top. 😊

I absolutely love the way the living room turned out. I think the furniture choices were perfection the darker swivel chairs with that brown leather are going to work great for a b&b especially over time to be able to keep them clean and not dirty looking. I love the fireplace surround black. As someone looking in at the finish product now please everybody know this is just my opinion, which doesn't have to mean anything... But as a decorator and designer not 20 years and knowing how to stage a home especially when you want it downplayed for whatever reason or purpose. My only suggestion is that the blank wall on either side of the fireplace and then the fireplace being all black with the surround the tiles the inset and then the big black TV above it with all the white walls just is to start It's just a big black box with a big black box and white walls. So my only suggestion is to possibly do a peel and stick tile on the inside of the fireplace so leave it all black leave the surround black but on the inside do a peel and stick tile. And then try to find maybe two pieces of art or some kind of hanging decor that could go on the larger open areas on either side of the fireplace. This way the wall wouldn't look white with two big black boxes in the middle. That is my biggest suggestion for the room 🤔❣️ as always do you and I do truly love the way this whole house is turning out, if I was in the area I would come stay for a nice long weekend 💯❣️😍❣️💝❣️❣️

I also love how you are a budgeter and pick up bargains for your home it really would inspire those who dont have a lots of money that you can decorate to and still have a lovely space...

We have two chairs very similar to the swivel chairs that you bought! Ours are a lighter grey and the back is curved instead of square and they are so comfortable. Such a great choice.

I was so excited to finally see the living room and YOU DID NOT DISAPPOINT !!!!!!!the leather sofa is gorgeous very rich, there had to be some black and the fireplace is perfect, I have two swivel chairs and they are great for conversating. I know you love you mop and shine but for older hardwood like that Orange Glo is amazing and makes it look almost new and conditions it because they are usually really dry.
