Same same same, and it could possibly be a lot deeper than just that too. And even if it was just a "Holiday Reskin" there's so much they could do with remixing the levels too
The yellow connecting wires on the Christmas tree was not a mechanic in the 4th game, but it was in the 3rd game, perhaps they will bring back that mechanic in the potential 7th area. Maybe the recommended types will be yellow, ice and winged (since winged need more use).
I’d love this! One more area with heavy utility for the new stars of the show, the underutilized type, and a classic type would be PERFECT - and a winter cavern or something could be ideal for it too, since the electricity mechanic could be used to “warm up” certain areas or something
Winged were completely and utterly useless. By the time you got to the final area, if you didn’t re-enter caves and no wings died, then you would only have around 25. It makes them not worth bringing, as due to the 3 type limit, you can’t just bring like an extra 15 of a random type just in case. Even with the winged onion, theres still nothing left to do in the overworld that can’t be done with white and/or ice, and they’re only used in one cave by that point.
Agreed, this is how I feel. Though, I will say, I like it more and more with each new playthrough, but a solid DLC addition could perfectly complete it in my eye
@@VantageEmblem Good to know! My biggest gripe is mostly how long it takes to find Frisé and complete his quest, but now that I know better how it functions I'll say that my playthrough is going smoothly.
We NEED NG+ (New Game +) beat this game within the first week of release and now i don’t know what much too do. I am a veteran Pikmin player. I’ve played every single game. I’ve played this series since I was a little kid. The first game being my favorite. But I strongly feel that Pikmin 4 has ALOT of potential. There’s so much they could do with this project. The best way to get sales is to take hints from the community!!
@@Aureum715yup, most of them where a piece of cake for me once you take the dandori advice given to you to heart (like focus first on unlocking shortcuts and collecting pikmin). I think the only difficult ones were some of the trials of the sage leaf, but even those where fairly easy
There's something going on, there's still those weird screenshots on the website, the player character riding on Oatchi with a castaway that isn't in the game and they both have no helmets, Oatchi and Moss in night Heroes Hideaway with the dog bowl treasure
They need to add Puffmin to the Puffstool battles and a Shaggy Long Legs phase to the Baldy Long Legs Battle. The Breadbugs should have nests rather than just dragging away treasure and enemies should respawn after 4-5 days. New stages if added will need to be built around more than just 3 types of Pikmin.
I think pikmin 4 is a perfect game for amiibo integration. Imagine loading into pikmin 4 and getting dialogue that a new treasure has been detected in the hero's hideaway. You go there and it's the external NFC reader for the older models of 3ds, since nintendo loves integrating their older stuff as treasures in pikmin. It's brought back to base, but before you collect it's sparklium, Russel interrupts "This could be used to collect seemingly limitless sparklium" and it becomes a permanent installment in the hub world. You go to it, scan your amiibo, and you get a cave for that amiibo themed with obstacles and treasures around it's corresponding franchise. Imagine a combat cave where the enemies drop rupees for the Legend of Zelda amiibo, or relaxed puzzles for animal crossing amiibo. The big final treasure being the amiibo you scanned itself. You could stop there, and I would be happy with that, but I can't shake the thought of the caves getting longer and harder with each amiibo in a franchise. Let's say your first mario amiibo only has one floor, but then with the rosalina it has 2, the luigi is on the third floor. I would even be cool with it if they recycled the floors from the previous amiibo you'd put in, though that would get tedious with the puzzle floors. It would also be cool if each amiibo had 2 big treasures instead of one. Like, for majora's mask link, you can get the Deku mask and the amiibo. Or peach's crown along with her amiibo. I just think it would be really sick! Though it would also take a TON of work to make all that. They might not be able to do all of the amiibo, too. Due to licensing, it might be tough to do ones like the smash DLC's corresponding amiibo. That would be my absolute dream update. (It shouldn't be paid DLC since you already would have to buy the amiibo).
Honestly this gives me animal crossing amiibo festival vibes mixed with the amiibo functionality for Hey! Pikmin in the best possible ways. I’d be SO down for this, though it probably would be too much work for the devs unfortunately. But I’d go CRAZY for it in terms of collecting all of the amiibo in order to unlock the content I suppose
I’m pretty sure it’s just a Christmas sales thing, but I’m holding out hope nonetheless. Also did you say the pikmin amiibo is getting restocked? Like the hey pikmin one? If so very excited for that.
Yeah, apparently they've been available new and for cheap again. I haven't bought one myself, since I have both of them, but I am taking the word of those who have looked recently
@@VantageEmblemI Oh sick, I must have missed it. Honestly Maybe if I comment it enough I can manifest it through sheer will. I've been wanting it since Pikmin 2
I REMEMBER THAT ADD. I love the Pikmin 3 ads, even if they were ultimately ineffective (though that's probably more so the fault of the Wii U's poor sales than anything else, to be fair)
another point that makes DLC more possible is that you get specific abilities as rewards for completing post game stuff that are kinda useless because you already did everything but if they add DLC there will be a use for them like the purple pikmin onion and infinite running with Oatchy
I haven't seen any evidence that Nintendo is working on DLC but I would really enjoy it if they would release it. I would even pay money. I love how 4 looks, mechanics, and game modes, but it's not challenging enough. You get so many Pikmin and they almost never die, there is almost no sense of danger. Make the creatures more threatening and maybe increase the cost of food for Pikmin so they're actually valued?
Nintendo is teasing IRL Pikmin calling it now. But seriously I really, REALLY hope we get DLC with, ideally, NG+ like the other guy said with the Alignment Trumpet, Infinite Charge (would obviously do as much as your Charge level) and the thing to make your Captain carry like a Pikmin, and also an ACTUAL hard mode (not like PIKMIN 3's """hard""" mode).
With the information they are giving on the Pikmin Garden website, it has awakened in me a huge desire for the DLC to go beyond the dandori levels and offer us more history. Pikmin has never been characterized by its plot, but this game really is the more lore has been given to us and it would be a shame if they didn't tell us more about the dogs and PNF-404. I would love for this hypothetical dlc to add 2 new areas, new enemies and bosses, maybe a new pikmin type and an online dandori battle mode
The game is a pretty well-rounded package as is, but I think it's just as likely that it's getting a new map as DLC as is it that it gets no DLC@@granlangostino
I'd love to see dlc in any capacity, but I'm not sure if this marketing is just to prolong the hype for dlc down the line or if theres anything imminently happening. Maybe they are hoping to guage the reactions of the marketing to decide next steps. Either way, theyre super cute ads! I think Oatchi and Moss would have added a lot to the holiday one though, missed opportunity for sure haha
could you imagine them on Christmas morning 😭😭😭 but in all honesty, upon rewatching the holiday short, the careful arrangement of clutter on the floor and table makes me feel like a dlc holiday heroes hideaway rework could be a real possibility! That would be super fun, esp if they add some sort of holiday accessory option to wear while you complete it haha
They for sure pushing Pikmin hard especially since all 4 games on Switch, I'm so happy Pikmin finally catching on that's the series I always suggest to people and everyone I get to play it gets hooked on the series
I never completed the dandori challenges at the home base except for the secret cave. But other than that I completed practically everything. I am curious as to what could possibly be in the DLC.
I came up with some ideas for the DLC a while back with a friend so basically it’s a campaign featuring the president because he wasn’t seen in the main game So originally he gets olimars signal and sends over Louie but then he doesn’t hear anything back, so he decides to take things into his own hands and goes to pnf-404 he crash lands in the main hub starting site from the main game Where he finds no one , he sees the onion which seems to be glowing, this is the onion separating into the pieces He sees the red onion and plucks a pikmin, which helps him get his ship back together enough to find the other onions, he thinks their might be people where the onions are So he goes to a whole new region with different maps and finds the bulbmin there And maybe Louie’s still somehow on the planet and he gets a signal from him or something, this is basically how far the ideas went
I'd LOVE to see the President make it in, and the OG Koppiates too. We'd have the full gang together and it would be incredible. Oh, and let the president use the Hocotate ship from Pikmin 2 in particular, and the Koppiates the Drake.
@@VantageEmblem Exactly!! I can't even tell you how many upset posts I've seen about it!! They're like actively fumbling their new fans, and it makes no sense to me why they would do it!
Not exactly relevant to Pikmin 4 specifically but I hope to see Ice Pikmin (and maybe even Glow Pikmin) come to Pikmin bloom, since they game is attracting more hype due to the holiday season, and on top of that November is their anniversary month so that might get some older players to return as well
If a snow map gets added, the hairy Bulborb should return, why? Since it’s hairy, it won’t be able to freeze, so it’s back to basic PIKMIN 1, 2 and 3 attack style.
Man the worst part of this is that now I "miss" the period between Pikmin 3 and Pikmin 4 Either way I dont see why Nintendo wouldnt make at least 1 DLC for Pikmin 4
Fortunately we’ve entered the period of wait between Pikmin 4 and 5, and given the success of Pikmin 4 I think the hype train will begin again sooner than you’d expect 😁
Me too. Me. Too. Like, could you IMAGINE the possibilities? Even something very small could have a large impact on the game by giving us just something extra to do.
another point that makes DLC more possible is that you get specific abilities as rewards for completing post game stuff that are kinda useless because you already did everything but if they add DLC there will be a use for them like the purple pikmin onion and infinite running with Oatchy
