The 'Emphasized REC Display' is genius! Thanks for pointing out this feature. I shoot exclusively 'PP-11', S-Cinetone'. My videos are strictly 'home movies', and I don't really like doing a lot of grading in post. I also appreciate you pointing out the 'Different Set for Still/Mv'. I already had all 'checked' but had forgotten why. Hey! I'm 70 years old. LOL! I really appreciate you explaining your choices. Some, just say, 'change this setting' and never explain why and what benefit it has. Thanks!

Where did you find the overlay that looks like old film scratches? Also... thanks for making the video. I bought this as a travel camera, opposite the a7iv and xh2 I lug around for work. Also... at those settings can you use v60 uhsii cards? Or do you need v90? Thanks again. Great video

Brilliant this. If you always shoot in SLOG3 then would you set the exposure compensation to 1.7 and store this in all memory slots so you do not forget when switching? Also, how come you use the Picture Profile to set SLog and not 'Log Shooting: On (Flexible ISO) with the Color Gamut set to S-Gamut3.Cine/S-Log?

50 fps 1/100 in the Pal area .... NTSC would have been 60 fps - 1 / 200 shutter ... I got a bit confused for a while but later figured it out. Does 10 bit make a huge difference as compared to 8 bit?

Brilliant video and I set the camera as suggested. I'm struggling to play back recorded video from the camera, should you use a V60 or V90 SD card or do you think it could be down to the computer software?

Great paced tutorial Curtis, very succinct and informative. Just got a 67' and the AF is blowing away my Fuji XH2S, so that's off to the auction. Also paired the 67' with the Siggy 18/50 and that is fantastic bang for a just a few bucks.

Hello Curtis. Nice presentation here! I've watchet very interested because intend to buy this "beast". When you think that the crop factor is to be taken into account. When we use APS-C lenses on an APS-C body or when we use FF lenses on an APS-C body. Thank you!

Two very different cameras with huge price differences. It really depends what you need and want from a camera. My usecase could be completely different to mine. The video specs are much better on A6700 whilst the A7RIV has that insane sensor for photography.

Can you use these settings with the Sony FX30, even though it's not really a photography camera but they have the same sensor at least.

How is overheating? I live in a tropical/humid place and I was thinking either this or the Lumix s5ii for mostly photos and some videos on the side I want to be sure that I’m making the right choice and will future proof myself. Ik that the lumix is having a sale where u can get it for $2049 with 20-60 kit lens and a 50mm 1.8 and with the Sony if I get it body alone with the sigma 18-50mm and 30mm it will be $2200

I haven't experienced any problems with overheating. Personally recommend this over Lumix but that's just my opinion. Hope that helps and enjoy your new Camera, which ever you decide to go for! 😁📸

High quality post, useful info capably presented by high-energy, delightful host!👍 Settings rationales explained, great tips, Curtis! Animated graphics a plus. Unique humor - airplane mode for drone shots😁. Well behaved dog - could become a channel mascot? My first encounter w/active AF illuminator was at a dark billiards hall - tough looking dudes asked me to turn off the red spotlight, so I did😁 no kidding. Thought your default focus target would be “trains”/trams. Tip: “Secret” settings menu in photo mode. Keep tapping the Display button on dial until you cycle through to the display that does not show live mode. Looks like a useful but static chart of various settings. Tap the Fn button and one of the settings will “light up”. Use the dial to change the value of the setting. Tap dial navigation buttons (top, bottom, left/right) to move to a different setting. Press Fn button to go back to static display. The feature is in all A6000 series, I believe - was meant to simulate display on DSLRs and ease transition to mirrorless, as I understand. (Might make a cool short vid.) Cheers!

Both xavcs and xavchs have 100mbps at 4K. Won’t the xavchs store more data to better h265 compression?

The no 2 doesn’t allow us to change F and shutter speed in video mode The no 3 doesn’t allow us to change iso and shutter speed in photo mode if I am not mistaken (just like auto) No 1 and 2 in photo mode can’t record video But no 3 in photo mode allow us to record video So no 1 and no 2 are good for photo mode No 1 is good for video mode Or all of this only in my A6700?

Possible how your camera is just setup. Which is rather different from how they normally come setup as standard. Make sure you are in manual mode. In auto, P, A or S modes you won't be able adjust some of these parameters
