In this video, I take an initial look at the brand new SONY ZV-1. The SONY ZV-1 is Sony's latest compact camera but the SONY ZV-1 is specifically geared towards vloggers and content creators. The SONY ZV 1 is portable, compact and packed with tons of smart features that even the latest smartphones will struggle to compete with. If you're a vlogger or/and a content creator the SONY ZV-1 will make you think twice about another camera purchase. I also take a deep dive in the SONY ZV-1 menu and change some critical settings before using the camera for the 1st time.

Trying to set 30 frames per seconds but I only have the 24p option at 4k. Any advise would be helpful.

Select the menu -> Go to tab 2 (it’s purple) -> (page 1) select ‘record settings’ ...30fps should be on the top! Hope that helps! Thanks for watching!

@@KeepingThisTech Yeah thats the menu its missing from, have seen a few others have had similar issues, wasn't sure if it were a setting thing or if some models have shiped with missing firmware.

@@KeepingThisTech found out the issue, camera was set in PAL, got to the second last colour tab in the menu then go section 2 and go to NTSC/PAL selector and click that, it should promt you to change to NTSC. once it has it should restart and you'll find 30fps at 4k Just leaving this here encase anyone else has the same issue.

B2B Fusion in terms of 4K quality looks great and the flip out rotating screen so you can actually see yourself when recording for vlogs

B2B Fusion yeah but the selfie camera is not as good as the primary camera on the back of the iPhone. It’s less megapixels and just the quality is not there.

Thanks for watching! Yes, you can.. on the 5th Tab.. the page is titled setup 4, language is the first option.. French, English, Italian and Spanish are the options.. additionally you can choose your language when you power up the Sony ZV-1 initially.. hope that help!

Mine lags with 24p100M or 30p100M or 30p60M under low light. the camera becomes choppy and harder to focus on 4K as well under low light. should this camera even be used in 4K?

Im having issues choosing which video record setting to use for vlogs here on YT...Where it says to choose either 60pm 100m , 30pm 50m ...etc. I want great quality but idk which one to choose🥴

Thanks for checking out the video. 60P & 30P are frame rates. They alone won't hurt or help image quality.. but they do attribute to the overall look and feel of your video. 60p footage captured and edited on 1080p/60 timeline will give the viewer a sense of realism almost like being in the scene with you. Additionally, 60p footage can be used in a 30p Video timeline for slow motion effects. While 30p is commonly use for TV broadcasts. Most of our favorite shows were shot and 30p or 30 frames per second. So for the viewer, it seems natural to their eye. You can't go wrong on YT with either option. However, I'd consider your setup, if you're filming in low light situations then choose 30p because your shutter speed should be double of your frame rate… And the higher your frame rate is, the higher your shutter speed is and that decreases the amount of light that comes in to your sensor. (For example, at 30p your shutter speed should be 1/60 and at 60p shutter should be 1/125.) If you're using intelligent auto settings for movies the ZV-1 is doing all of the work for you and while that's great and can be convenient it doesn't always result in the best possible outcome. The key is to set your movie settings manually. As for the "50M vs 100M" those reference data with respective frame rates. Sorry to respond with an essay.. but I hope that helps! Thanks again!
