I get so jealous when I watch your gameplay, so smooth, seamless turns, barely any affects on frame rate... here I am on box sweating through an outfit trying to spot sharks off the coast of a crash.
I performed this challenge last month on PS4 without glitches. I finished on day 4, on hard, permadeath and never built a raft. I share the top position on the leaderboards for the quickest escape. Your videos are great and are really enjoyable to watch. Thank you for producing the challenge videos. They inspired me to make my own challenges. Its ironic and funny that you had the same idea to play with no raft.
Cool. That's great. I had someone suggest "play without a raft and swim everywhere" in the comments on one of my challenge videos. I never really considered trying to beat the game that way until I discovered the speed glitch and found out I could swim about as fast as using the raft glitch.... and it saves a ton of time in the speed run not having to gather the resources and build a raft.
@@agoork01 I'm now the undisputed fastest hardcore permadeath player in stranded deep on the ps4 leaderboard. No glitches, no raft, no compass, zero damage and I never slept. I finished on day 2 at 20:53. The time forwarding of the end cinematic caused me to finish on day 3. I ended with extra crude spears, all the bandages made and 2 additional rations. Im confident that with these items removed from the run I will finish on day 2. This is not the end. Thank you again for your highly entertaining content.
@@rachelsmith7361 That's awesome, but I am also confused.. Is that 20 minutes and 53 seconds?? What is so different about the ps4 version? Do you have a video of you doing it?
@@agoork01 my apologies for the confusion. I was a very tired after the final run of the day and was using military time. The time of day in game was 20:53 or 8:53pm when I activated the ending scenes. I only have screenshots of different stages throughout any of the runs to act as time trial markers.
I have found Glitch in the game it can make your boat fly away you need to place a container shelf on your ship and fill it with containers then get a light hook and very quickly place it in the middle as soon as the white comes on then it will start to shake and then wait and it will fly
You can beat your own time at least 8 or 9 minutes,if you don't waste so much time organizing the crates over and over,also cheating is not a challenge,period!
WIthout a raft, I can only carry so many crates, so it has to be organized, but yeah, I still use way too much time on that. Speed running in general is all about using whatever game design flaws, glitches, shortcuts, etc you can in order to try to beat the game as quickly as possible. It's not a challenge to beat the game, it's a challenge to see how fast you can beat the game - without any mods an without editing or modifying the game code. I use the games own design to beat it. That's all.
There are (or should be) various categories of speed runs. Playing the game with no glitches is of course much harder and takes a LOT more time. With these videos I am trying to push the boundaries and see just how fast the game can be beaten without using god mode, the dev console or any mods.
