I dated a girl who lived up Coldwater Canyon, in the Hollywood hills. She lived across the street from the small house Tracy shared with Hepburn back in the day…Cute little place.
The importance of 'Guess Who's Coming to Diner' cannot be overstated! (As mentioned on my Channel!) Pity he never saw it in Theaters! & every time I see that Sinclair Oil Advert, all I can think of is the old Green Stamp Logo!
Yes! I remember Spencer Tracy. Excellent actor. He had a small but very funny role in "Mad World" 😠 🌎 😂 When his character died, they had him kick a bucket 🪣 😳 🤣 And I also seem to remember Guess Whose Coming to dinner. My Mom must have kept up on some celebrity gossip. Because I remember her telling me Spencer Tracy and Katherine Hepburn were together. 🤔 Thanks Steve 😊 Well done as always. 👍
I enjoyed learning about Soencer Tracy. I did hear about him and Katerina Hepburn. Great actor and great movies. I'm old enough to remember...maybe when they were reruns.
Great video. Thank you for posting. Bad Day at Black Rock was always a favorite of mine. Some great actors with Tracy in that one including Robert Ryan.
THANK YOU!!! LOVED BOTH OF THEIR WORK!!! EVEN THOUGH THEY HAD A 27 YEAR RELATIONSHIP, THEY STILL SLEPT IN DIFFERENT BEDROOMS!!! FOR THE LONGEST TIME I USED TO GET SPENCER TRACY MIXED UP WITH JAMES WHITMORE...DON'T KNOW WHY!!! 🤣🤣🤣
I have a good friend who worked as an extra actually as a German guard on judgment at Nuremberg. He said he interacted with Spencer numerous occasions he was young man, probably 2425 years old and said Spencer was nice and always talk to him kindly other people may have not gotten the same respect but he said he enjoyed that just a fun little snippet another great video thank you sir
Some years ago Turner Classic Movies aired an interview with Ernest Borgnine. He remembered the filming of BAD DAY AT BLACK ROCK and how they all (he, Robert Ryan et al) were a bit intimidated by Tracy’s wonderful style of acting which was basically NOT to act. He mentioned the scene with Tracy & Robert Ryan at the gas pump & how Robert Ryan was completely unnerved by Tracy just sitting there, talking to the ground. He didn’t know how to come back at that without acting like HE was acting.😊😅
All his pictures.I enjoyed them with my 2 Grandma's and my mom and my dear.We watch the movies all the time. He was a very good man. I am from wisconsin too. The city below milwaukee. With my blessings to the family and love. From. Dawn Paul Melnik. 🙋♀️🙏💞⚘️.
No mention of Bad Day at Black Rock? Watched late one Saturday night with my now wife. I had always known the name Spencer Tracy but it wasn’t until we watched that movie that I knew who he was.
Oh Tom You caught that. Huge mistake, that's one of my favorite movies! I don't know about my brain these days. Somebody should slap me around like Spence whipped Ernest Borgnine.
My favorite movies of Spencer Tracy. The movies with Katherine Hepburn It's a mad, mad, mad, mad World Bad day at black Rock Boys Town 30 seconds over Tokyo Captain Courageous San Francisco 20,000 years at Sing Sing
I have some compassion for his wife and Hepburn, but I struggle to understand why they put up with so much of his disrespect. I can imagine him telling Hepburn that he couldn’t divorce his wife to marry her but he had no problems committing adultery, making a fool out of his wife and mocking the institution of marriage. Extremely talented actor but of very poor character.
Actually, I believe Spencer Tracy and Katharine Hepburn were both gay. Look at the book called ‘Full Service’ by Scotty Bowers. He was a sort of pimp for gay actors in the 50’s & 60’s. He says Katharine preferred young brunettes.
