The new SRAM Red AXS is here!
I love new bike tech. When the guys at my local bike store Infinity Cycles told me there was a new groupset due to drop, I had to get down there and film a quick edit.
In this video, I go through 10 things you need to know about this new tech.

I think that whenever a new, top-of-the-range drive group enters the market, many ordinary users (of which I am one) will have the opportunity to purchase the previous version of the top group as an upgrade to their mid-range equipment. Thx for the vid, Dave!

You're right dead mate - although I'd probably prefer current Ultegra Di2 than the outgoing RED AXS... Thanks for watching 🙂

😂😂 staggering amount for a group set. I’d be better losing 60 grams (and then some) in weight myself. But it does look very tasty even though I use Shimano. Personally I’m interested in seeing if the new L-twoo erx is an option. Now there’s one for you to review Dave 😁

Yes mate, its crazy expensive!! I'm on the fence about the L-Twoo kit... Although I wouldn't mind giving it a shot, there's a lot to consider - more than just the price and performance.. Like what happens if there's is an issue?.. I'd rather deal with local stockists and distributors, than a factory in China.. I think its definitely something for the future though mate, so we'll see what happens. Thanks for watching.. :-)

New Duraace di2 group set you can get for 2.5k - so that would be my choice 😊

Yeah, I agree mate. New tech is always pricey, I expect the selling price of this will drop in time.

The weight weenies might be drawn in by the 60g saving, but the changing will have to be significantly better than the previous SRAM Red GS and more than significant to be better than a seamless Dura A GS shift….to drawn in the racing fraternity

Like the look and improvements (I use force currently) but the price is eye watering - dura ace can be got for about 2600. And I’d have no interest in the hammerhead 🤷‍♂️

I hear you mate.. I expect selling price will drop once availability improves.. Re Hammerhead... I've always used Garmin, see no reason to change. If the Hammerhead happened to come on a bike I bought, I'd maybe give it a go.. Thanks for watching 🙂

I would rather have shimano Ultegra. The ultegra group set value simply can not be beaten

I agree its very expensive - give it a few months and I'd expect once availability improves the selling prices will drop and fall somewhere near DA Di2. Thanks for watching 🙂
