Neat, but they are so late to the party lol No mans sky had working vehicles as close to launch as possible lol.Its sad that starfield took 25 years to come out 5 years too late lol
Should have been a vertical take off and landing vehicle that flies above the ground. Just Cause had choppers many years ago, so why give us a rock crasher for a game that's supposed to be in the future. Makes no sense.
Awful Halo controls never made sense. With this you can hold back for reverse, but if you then spin the camera 180 it suddenly makes you drive forward!
@@goatlps I'm not a fan of those types of controls either. They work. But I was looking for a way to change it right away. Hope they add that in the future. The vehicle drives good at least.
@@alanmatkovic3221 I was talking mostly about the way it handles and drives. I agree. They should at least give the Option to have controller triggers, as gas and brakes. Halo controls always seemed a bit gimmicky
I've already seen somebody add the NASA moon buggy, so that's probably not far off. We already have lots of halo armor mods ahaha, so theirs definitly Halo fans modding Starfield.
The fact that Bethesda didn’t mean for Starfield to have land vehicles in the first place, but decided to put it in anyway because we wanted it, really puts a smile on my face and definitely a lot of people who wanted Starfield to be great on day 1. Edit: All I’m trying to say is I wanted land vehicles since release. So… I finally got land vehicles. And that makes me happy. Just because I like that Bethesda added land vehicles, does NOT mean I think the game is improved 1000%. It just means that I’m happy they added something they should’ve added since day 1. That’s all. That’s really what I mean. I just want to talk about the buggy’s, man. 😐
@@UmmerFarooq-wx4yo I think we can all agree that everyone is more critical about Starfield’s gameplay than the lore. Starfield’s lore is still very new, so I personally don’t mind if they change or retcon some things to make the game feel like an actual game.
They just HAVE to put in some kind of mech suit thing. Doesn't have to be a big war machine, but some kind of small/medium sized exploration walker would be sooooo cool.
There are mods with other vehicles already available (M12B FAV Warthog, Old Earth ATV, Crimson Gang Van, NASA Lunar Rover, and others), and other mods to make the vehicle more interesting (cargo, settings to tune weapon damage, etc.).
@@techgeek123-em7uf the Dragonborn dlc gives you a shout the let's you control and ride dragons when fully learned. It's great for fast travel if you use survival mode or mods that limit fast travel.
@techgeek123-em7uf playthrough the Dragonborn dlc storyline, and you gradually learn each part of the shout. The first word controls lesser creatures, second word controls people, final word controls dragons.
Somehow my game had default skin planets after update. It was hilarious but then it hit "Oh no...my game is ruined" I tried the Buggy anyway and I freaken loved it. My planet skins did not get fixed with a reload, it was fixed with a reboot. I absolutely love this addition, the fact you can still use the scanner without out getting off the vehicle sold me!
Now they can add some more cities too and something to actually explore. Those Temples for the relics need to be made grandious like in Skyrim where you could find new dragon shouts
Finally got my buggy on a new character yesterday but not yet on my main, and it’s a lot of fun. Saw how far I went from New Atlantis was 5000 meters! The furthest I have went compared to 2000 on my two feet
Its gonna be cool to see what modders do with this. Imagine NPCs driving them around or getting into a mad max style shootout while driving. Like in borderlands. Also an endless amount of different types of vehicles maybe even tanks or some shit. Who knows.
I'll be honest I was not expecting vehicles and I definitely was not expecting this update to be this in depth. Like they even brought voice actors back to add lines for the companions! Please BGS keep this up I am impressed. That being said this feature should have been in the base game along with the other quality of life options they added in back in May/June. The exploration of the planets without vehicles or being able to fly around and land wherever like in NMS (its over a decade old) was not only awkward it was actually an insane design choice. They didnt tell us that one planet in Starfield was literally 10 thousand times the size of Skyrims map. Next thing they need to do is for us to be able to actually fly our ship between planets and actually be able to pilot our ships around the outside of the planets and be able to land on them wherever. It's 100 percent possible (NMS did it over a decade ago). I'm expecting them to expand upon the customization and different types of vehicles after seeing how in depth this update was. It makes me wish they did this with Skyrim and Fallout 4 because I would still be playing those games if they gave them the Starfield treatment. I amm extremely excited for Shattered Space at this point. House Va'ruun was the most interesting part of the lore and the focus on a single planet is what I am interested in seeing personally. I am not a fan of the nickel and diming through the creation club and they seriously need to stop that though. If they made the Trackers guild a full fledged guild like Ryujin or the crimson fleet and charged 5 dollars I would be very interested. 7 dollars for a single quest and a set of armor is insulting in the face of how vast and in depth the base game already is.
Dude noone is reading all that... We know you have no life but its😂 just a video game kid.... No need to write paragraphs about it in the youtube comment section 😂
I figure they'll add a bunch of different ones, just like with ships, and later on they'll let you tweak them just like you can with ships to. What I really wish they'd add is a player to player vendor where people can actually put their custom ships up for sale to other players.
Best way to achieve that is write feedback. I agree. I really prefer to have it with a module. Even better if I can load and unload it from the module by hitting a button outside or have it auto sitting outside next to it. Also adds to ship building. And we can see it in the ship.
I was looking ALL OVER THE GALAXY for more instances of the Varrun and failed (I loved the outfit) and now I can look forward to this DLC to explore my characters eerie background
My roomate told me of the update and land vehicle. "I wonder if anyone (YTer) has driven around New Atlantis running people over yet." Ofc Danny did it. Ofc. Lol
I genuinely don't know when to start playing this game again after putting in like 30 hours within 2 days and then stopping to see what Bethesda and modders wanted to do. Also this video is 10X more interesting than the Luke Stephens one.
I see this as a win. Todd stated the vision of Starfield does not see a ground vehicle to be in. But the overwhelmingly feedback of fans asking for it changed it. I see a dozen of flaws that pretty much comes down to the engine limitations of the Creation Engine. Cell-based just ain't it. But I'm glad to see fans still somewhat are getting heard for a better product and not being too stubborn on "their vision"
Love it. Don't care about the haters I love it like a kid not visiting his first candy store, but his tenth. Disagree all you want, but you can sense what I'm talking about if you remember being a kid.
Starfield is an objectively embarrassing game coming from a studio like Bethesda . Dont get me wrong you can enjoy it but dont call us haters for disliking poorly made video games which cost $60+
@@Ben-ek1fzit's no Skyrim/fallout, but it is still a fine game. Most of the hate it gets is just people parroting what they've heard other people say online with little playtime themselves. It was disappointing at launch and definitely should of released more in the state that it is now, but yeah
@@ericlarson7556 There’s a liturgy of people who have made excellent videos showing how much of a regression Starfield is in comparison to contemporary titles or even Bethesda’s previous games . But my personal biggest qualm is definitely the terrible dialogue and story + the horrible excuse for an ‘exploration’ title. For a game set in space it is laughable when it feels more boring to explore than Skyrim did
@@nowondr No most of the hate is not that; I have 60 hours in game and I have played every single Bethesda title since Morrowind and I can sadly say Starfield is a lackluster excuse for a modern 2020s title. Trust me, the disappointment is deserved, and im not talking about bugs or optimisation, Cyberpunk had the same issues if not worse. Yet it is a far more acceptable title because the core tenets of the game were not the issue
I just tried the vehicle last night, pretty fun. I ran it into everything, flipped it once, and got stuck a couple of times. Sarah kept yelling at me about my driving, which added a layer of realism. So yeah. Wheeeee!
I have to admit: that looks fun! Impressive physics as well (suspension, objects in and on that vehicle responding to the driving). Very nice! Now we need vehicles driven by NPCs as well - you can't be the only one in the galaxy, right?
One advice, if you have yhe denser vegitation mod installed, disable it, yiu wont run into rocks every 2 seconds, drastically improved my experience with the buggy
The map, the vehicle and other improvements would have been awesome about a year ago when I explored the whole thing for about 200 hours. Great for new players or for those who will play the DLC.
Now all we need is somewhere worth driving too, goofing off is going to get old after a few hours. I had forgotten how good Starfield looked I hope the upcoming DLC is full of places to explore.
No Man's Sky has cars for several years :/ i'm happy i didn't get the game until is finished. keep bringing updates. still don't know if i will change from No Man's sky just for something more realistic and dark :/
The last thing I had posted to Bethesda (a few months back) about why a vehicle needs to be in the game was... that even NASA had a Lunar Roving Vehicle back in the early 1970's, so why wouldn't there be a vehicle in the game, especially when NASA is included in the story, etc.
Danny I’m interested in your opinions on the future of Bethesda and the elder scrolls 6. Some people I’ve seen think that Bethesda is deteriorating and that they think that elder scrolls 6 will be a failure and a let down. Do you have any feelings on your view of Bethesda and if elder scrolls 6 will be a failure or not?
It’s become cool to hate on Bethesda I think. But I have no reason to think they’ll do anything wrong with ES6. Starfield was riskier new IP but financially a success and I enjoyed it. The one glaring mistake, fallout 76, they fixed with years of free updates and turned it into a good game. But since Morrowind every elder scrolls game has been great. They know how to make a good elder scrolls game.
@@psychoticchemistI agree, we’ve just had 2 games in a row from Bethesda that were departures from their typical formula in one way or the other. 76 with multiplayer and Starfield with a very different style of exploration. With ES6 they’re finally going back to what they know how to do best.
@@psychoticchemist I think my dislike for Bethesda is still rooted in the same problems its had for about a decade. The same slightly updated outdated engine dominating their games. Deadpan NPCs. Paid mods. Other then that I don't really have a problem with Bethesda, it's just that all we ever hear are the criticisms and never the praises. But that's the same with 90% of AAA games I feel like.
