Personally, I would use an oscillating tool to cut the tail off the wall so that you could flush mount the cabinet.

I don’t know the answer to that one. You’d be able to measure it out once you t get the parts. Don’t forget to account for the thickness of the side of the cabinet!

Local hardware store. You can probably get them on Amazon as well.

I would personally not hang this on the wall, in an apartment, unless you own it. Just put the feet on it, and use it like that. If you do own, I know they make anchors for metal studs. Just use those anchors.

@@CliffsHowTo I don't think the besta tv stand I purchased has the holes for metal bracket that sticks to the back. Do you have a link to the stand you used in this video? The one I purchased is from the first video you did.

Same problem here... The besta units labeled as "TV Bench" aren't made to be used with the Besta railing, hence no holes... That sucks! The regular besta cabinets come with the holes for the railing, but not the tv bench! if you check the besta railing page on Ikea's website, there's a remark for it there. As I already got the railings, I'm planning to drill the holes myself and get it done, or add some corner bracers to the wall studs and to the unit interior like some other folks did (search on YT for ikea besta hack, or something like that) Good luck!

Yes, we returned to the store and they explained that to us. We mounted it directly to the wall. We were able to hit a few studs and also used some 45-angle brackets and screwed them on the inside of the unit into the wall. So far so good...@@douglasfrankenberger4904
