I think you're the first beauty guru ive seen actually apply THE RIGHT AMOUNT OF SPF and blending it into every tiny nook and cranny of the face. Well done, Chloe!
Chloe, I’ve got a little story for you. Me and my sister have watched you for YEARS! Like pre pre Seba. She found out she was preggo just before you announced and your due dates were a day apart I think. Anyway, when you went into early labour and were uploading Facebook videos I kept updating her because we were so excited for you and you remind me of her so much 😍. She went a bit quiet and wasn’t replying… but at 10pm (UK time) on the 3rd of June I sent her another message saying “how crazy would it be if you went into labour now at the same time as Chloe” and she replied saying “what if I told you I was?”, obviously I was like wtf as she was 10 days out from her due date in her first pregnancy. And then she sent another and said “what if I told you your niece was here?” And she wasn’t lying, whilst I was hyping myself up over your labour and bebe she went into a quick labour and had her little baby girl Margot in 6 hours (from first contraction to bebe girl being in her arms). I will always remember you as part of the birth of my niece haha 😂 anyway, we love you and are so happy for you and your gorgeous boys ♥️
That is so weird! Today I realised that we hadn’t seen you in a while, so I googled you & saw that you’d had the baby! Then an hour later, a video pops up on your channel. It’s like you knew! Congratulations to you & Seba on baby Santino, he is absolutely beautiful! 👶🏼👨👩👦🍼🧸💕
I remember Dr Dray on RU-vid said it’s fine to layer spf and that the benefit is if one layer rubs of like your cc cream, you still got the first layer of spf underneath to protect you.
It's so refreshing to hear an honest tutorial! Nowadays I feel like every "influencer" says nothing but only-positive things that they like, yet I'm so thankful for an honest tutorial/review from you and I feel like that's so important when deciding what to actually shop for or how I look at a brand a certain way. Thank u so much skincare queen, your summer look turned out amazing :,)
She is very right with the spf layering! More is better! Layering is different to mixing spfs, never mix them, but layering them and letting them dry between each application is a great strategy to be fully protected and have the full spectrum of spf.
CHLOE!! 🥰🥰 That breathing thing you did when you had rubbed it in 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 Chloe I'm so sorry about your mum! Sending strength to her xx I'm all for SPF I use it even in winter. Your makeup always looks SO NATURAL, its like you have been laying in the sun on a tropical island Thanks for the video 😀😀
Just placed an order for super goop spf inspired by this tutorial. I’ve been slacking in the spf department so far but hopefully that’s about to change. Thanks Chloe!!
Omg!! I was dying at the remake of march Jacobs fiasco 🤣🤣🤣 this look is so pretty!! Love my supergoop spf too! Heading over to see if I can get the mist 🤞❤❤
Not a pro but I follow many respected professionals in the skincare world and am just regurgitating what they’ve said on the matter. The important part with spf is that it forms a film. You can’t mix because sunscreens are not formulated to be mixed and so you won’t know if mixing will disrupt their ability to form the much necessary film. Layering is different from mixing and is actually the preferred method of sunscreen application over applying just one layer! So long as you give each layer time to form the film. We are only human so we likely won’t apply sunscreen perfectly to make sure that there are no gaps in protection. Layering helps us try to get around these things! Now for the every day person, you don’t need to make sure ever step of your routine has spf but it is helpful to just layer your base sunscreen and then has spf in your foundation
Oamg chloe you honestly get more and more beautiful every time I watch your videos. Good luck with the baby you guys will be amazing. You'll be the best mum !!!! ❤❤❤❤
I have been checking 50 times today if you have posted any videos..😍😍 been following for you for many years to know that you will post eid makeup before eid😍
Chloé looks amazing masha’Allah 🙏🏼🥰 Please, create a brand with all of that kind of spf products (powder to touch up) AFFORDABLE!!!!! Cancer is killing everyone of us but we can’t afford everything😭
6:11 LOLLLLL you're so funny! It did end up blending well. I never knew how funny you were until your series RU-vid Famous came out. Its not emphasized on your videos that much, but I swear you could have done stand up in another life
Chloe, u need to buy the colorscience 3 in 1 eye spf. It’s an eye cream, concealer and spf in one. It’s sooo good! They recently extended their shade range. It’s pricey but mine lasted 6 months 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
More SPF recommendations for smaller budget: - Vichy and Garnier Ambre Solaire both make dry face mist SPF : great for touch up over makeup and for scalp in hair parting - for face: La Roche Posay Hydrating cream SPF 50, Garnier SPF 50, Australian Gold Botanical tinted SPF 50, Cerave moisturizing lotion SPF 25 - for body: Eucerin Sun spray transparent SPF 50, Australian Gold spray gel with bronzer SPF 30 - SRV also makes an undereye concealer with SPF 20 - Nivea has a hand cream with UV filters - ACO lip balm with SPF (the one in the stick is better than the ones in squeeze tubes, imo)
You are the cutest pregnant lady with alot of spf. I laughed when you put on the cc cream lol. Funny, I rewatched 3 times 😊. You are so cute and sweet. Beautiful look and very informative video on application and different products. Will have to get some. Thank you Chloe:)🌷🤰
It totally depends on the formula, you don’t always need 2 fingers worth 💁♀️ and I’m so excited for you to have your baby! Sending only good thoughts 🙏🥰
I just finished watching a video from Dr.Dray about layering sunscreens. She said there's not enough research about layering chemical and physical sunscreens. She thinks it should be fine but one could cause quicker degradation in the other. As far as sunscreens that are made the same, that's fine. She also mentioned if you put a physical sunscreen on your face and then followed that up with a mineral powder makeup, that could cause quicker degradation of that physical sunscreen. But she said there's just not enough research to 100% support it
I love a true spf sister! I get laughed at from friends and cousins regarding my spf “mask”application but this just makes more confident to carry on! I have Misses your RU-vid videos! Hugs from stockholm
My best friend's mom got skin cancer due to sun exposure on her finger web. My dad got skin cancer on his toe. Both of them wear SPF 50 every day in summer but those were the areas they forgot or didn't apply any. So I would suggest getting an aerosol or spray SPF to apply on those areas too. Also, don't forget the back of your hands, they get a lot o sun damage! Love you Chloe 💕💕
I have to tell you that I still watch the Marc jacobs video when I need a lol. It makes me laugh out loud every time - your reactions are just so good. So the Supergoop sunscreen bit was so great 😂❤️
You look beautiful Chloe!✨🌞🌺 Love that you’re an spf queen, I adore spf products! Thankyou for expressing how important it is 💛 Also really appreciate you straying from the norm and talking about brands we don’t always hear of, so many new things I want to try now ✨
Who do we love 💕 the most?! Sunscreen Queen 👑!! I love that you used lots of different products for great protection!! 👏👏👏👏💝 Congrats 🎈 on your pregnancy!! Great job and very informative!!
I know you said trust you but I must admit I was side eyeing you. I probably would've given up on rubbing it in and started over but you stuck with it and it turned out good
I use Supergoop SPF eye cream, SPF Moisturizer & SPF CC cream and I love them. I also use their SPF body lotion. Them sometimes I even use their SPF powder & setting spray. I live their products.
Dr. Dray has tons of videos on sunscreen. It is okay to layer sunscreen one at a time on top of each as you did. As you said, it is not recommended to mix sunscreens (or any other products) together because then it is inconsistent 😊
Layering SPF is recommended, but mixing SPF is not advisable because it can dilute the listed SPF rating and some people incorrectly believe that it provides a higher SPF rating (thinking that adding an SPF 30 lotion with an SPF 20 foundation means SPF 50-level protection). Love seeing another sun protection-obsessed person!
Thanks for this Chloe! I know the hat gives you protection for your scalp but you also need to have some hair protection like oils or serums to prevent heat damage from the sun too ☺️
I’ve been using DRMTLGY universal tinted spf 46 and it’s soooo good! Only $23 and It’s basically a dupe for the Elta MD one. I’m super pale and the tint isn’t too dark for me! Highly recommend!!
GIRL. You had me there for a hot damn second 😂 I am glad you were relentlessly repeating for us to stay with you... because if you had only said it once... 😂😂😂
Looked amm scary at the beginning but you managed to work it perfectly. 😀 I try to remember use spf every day, and this summer I tried lip balm with spf..
I think there's really nothing wrong with mixing sunscreens, the only thing is that you won't get extra protection for layering them. You will only get the protection of your highest SPF product. So, if your highest SPF product has 50 SPF and the rest have SPF 30 or less, you're only gonna get SPF 50 protection. At least that's what I understood from the dermatologist I follow.
correct. but most people don't wear the recommended amount because it can look weird to apply so much at once. so that spf 50 isn't fully at 50 if you don't apply the recommended amount. so layering can get You to the right amount of coverage needed.
