low funding or DRDO ?? U$3 billions yearly splurged on DRDO, its basically employement scheme for IAS and govt officials and 30,000 communist inclined labour force. They are busy doing nothing basically, as basic rifle, arjun tank, bullet proof vest kind of basic items for foot soldiers used be imported till recently. Bharat doesnt make single export worthy missile except joint venture BRAMOS. HAL+ADA+ISRO +Ordnance factories are pretty much same state of negligence and poorr professionalism. Failed nation like Turkey and Iran fielding better weapons than Bharat.
IAF will never order it because it will not come with kickbacks. So it doesn't matter if Swift program is technically successful it will not be part of IAF inventory.

A lot of difference between a scaled down model of few 100kgs to a full scale prototype of 16-20 tons. Control laws are mostly different because moments of inertia are different. The reason they fly scale model first is the understand pitch-break in flying wings - so they put the control laws for AoA and that's the only control laws that can be reused.
Indeed Turkish UCAV isn't worth mentioning. Right now more funding for this project is needed. It is drones that are cost efficient effective bombers rather than manned planes like Jaguars or Mirage 2000. Those planes need to be put on a retirement schedule and full size version of SWIFT inducted with massive orders.

HI AD, We know that in coming years IAF will face Squadrons shortage due to delay in our Jet programs and there is huge challenge from CHINA and Pakistan. Since we are doing very good with our Missiles system so can we work parallelly to develop very powerful SAM and deploy it in very large numbers and to use it as first line of defense when IAF faces a swamp of jests from CHINA and Pakistan . Ur or anyone thoughts plz
Drdo is already developing a new system brother. I can't remember the name of that programme but AD discussed it in his video sometimes back i guess. It will be parallel with s400 type system i think.

These plans will remain only on papers. Let us accept our beurocrats politicians and more importantly IAF will ensure these plans fail and we go for the foreign equipments as it will open the door for kickbacks. This is a hard reality. We Indians are intelectually dishonest.
