Will the Team Corally Spark be able to dethrone the Arrma Typhon as the best basher buggy in the world?? If it is as good as to Corally Asuga and Kagama it might be!!

We finally got our Kagama's and I am very impressed with what Corally have done here and although it shares 80% of its parts with the Kronos XTR it's a worthy successor IMHO. We have some of these Sparks on order too. Waiting on delivery, I hope this is the same generational leap like the Kagama was. Thanks for sharing the vid. I looked this AM and there was nothing on YT. You are one of the first mate, nice.
@DoRC

Yeah I like to jump on it as soon as the information is released! I got mine pre-ordered yesterday so should have it pretty quickly. I expect this to be similar in durability to the Asuga and Kagama. It shares pretty much all of the same upgrades from the previous versions. Unless they've done something really wrong which I doubt they did this could easily be better than the Typhon
@basementracer7622

@@DoRC I agree with you 100% that said the Typhon and this do have competition from the HPI Vorza S. We have the Truggy versions and they are already far superior to the Typhon 6s in every way. Don't get me wrong, I do love the Typhon, one of my favorites but HPI have it easily beat on all levels. It will be interesting to see how the Spark shapes up against the Vorza S, either the buggy or the truggy version.

@@basementracer7622 Yeah the HPI vehicles are pretty good. I don't think my HPI Vorzas have been as durable as my TLR Typhon though

@@DoRC I hear that, it's true the Typhon TLR or BLX are rock solid. My own person TLR has a self specced wide kit on it and OMG. It is now the car they should have made. I adore it, it totally right now IS the best basher buggy out there with our wide kit on it. Just superb. Let me know if your interested, we may be able to throw you one to try. It's epic! LOL.

I have the Spark sinds yesterday and om my gawddd im impressed! I already had the Arrma Typhon V1, V2 and the V4! But the Spark is better quality overall out of the box. Also I think the design (a bit boxy) is such a great style! I got the blue Spark, but I think I will buy the other 2 colors (not the RTR but the rollers)I just want them all 3 colors🎉 A 1/8 scale 6s buggy is just the best set up. Such a small car with loads of overkill power! You can drive it on the street (with street tires) or go light offroad or truggyfie the lil monster! I love buggies!!! (I got also the Traxxas Xmaxx, XRT, Slash, Maxx etc etc) But their is nothing like a 1/8 scale 6s buggy!!!!

The BIG point on Corally : Roller is available for every new car. No one else offers it.
@DoRC
@DoRC 9 месяцев назад
That's definitely a benefit though I do wonder how much of a benefit of this year in the States. Horizon is phasing out all of their rollers which makes me think that it wasn't a very profitable endeavor. Also given how good the TC electronics are It makes their roller a little less of a desirable thing for me. Not that it's a bad option and I'm really glad they do it.

No 7075 aluminum components? Competition for the Typhon 6S BLX for sure, but I think best basher buggy is between the Typhon TLR-Tuned or the OG basher bugger in it's latest form the Vorza S Buggy. I'm sure the Spark would be a blast to own though; a 6S basher buggy is a must-have for the 1/8 scale RC enthusiast! So, which ever flavor you like, you gotta drive one!
@DoRC
@DoRC 9 месяцев назад
Yeah the TLR Typhon is a great buggy for sure! That being said the 6061 aluminum they use in these is pretty good and I expect it to be very durable. I still need to get one of the new Vorza s buggies. I had one of the older version previously but I haven't gotten one of the new ones. We'll see how this one goes! I've got mine pre-ordered :-) Thanks for watching!

I love that Corally is putting out these great products. But part support! The only way this can compete with the Typhon is with local part support. But this looks great.
@DoRC
@DoRC 9 месяцев назад
Yeah I guess it just depends on your point of view with that. I have not purchased a replacement part at an LHS in probably 5 years. Because of that as long as the parts are available online which they are it doesn't bother me at all.
@kimmern999
@kimmern999 9 месяцев назад
I guess that's a US thing. Here in Norway there is no such thing as "your local hobby shop". There are 3 - 4 RC shops in the country, and unless you live in the specific city they are located in, you buy everything you need/want Online. As such, the parts support element is less of an issue, as there are parts available for Corally too, just not down at the corner shop. 🙂
@DoRC
@DoRC 9 месяцев назад
@kimmern999 I think a lot of people order parts online here too. I know I haven't bought a part at an LHS in years. Because of that as long as they're available at least one place online I'm happy :-)
@dannywalker6279
@dannywalker6279 9 месяцев назад
My local hobby shop never seems to have the part I need for my kraton. Recently broke the metal steering brace and they didn't have them. I usually check with them first just to try and give them my support but if I want something in a hurry I know not to order from them as they put in orders one a week so if you missed the day than you wait the following week for them to place your order which they get the following week, sometimes I'm not even sure they put in order every week, but ya they just a small hobby store and do keep some Traxxas and arrma stuff
@DoRC

is there any advantage getting this over the asuga? seems the asuga will be the better value as its 30 dollars and should be able to handle the rough better. I don't think the size will make too much of a difference for smaller bash areas.
@DoRC
@DoRC 9 месяцев назад
Not really sure. I imagine this thing will be a bit more nimble as it will be lighter. It also might be less prone to breakage although the ABCD blocks are not as beefy as on the Asuga. That being said if I was going to get the Asuga I would probably just get the Kagama because it's about the same size but is built more like a stunt style truck. Really it's just down to personal preference though

Which one do you recommend between the two?xb6 vs tyhpon
@DoRC
@DoRC 5 месяцев назад
That's a tough one. I think they are at least comparable in most respects. The Typhon is going to give you better parts availability as as more diverse upgradability but I think the spark has the edge in power and handling by a little bit. And if you buy the spark you're supporting a company that isn't horizon or Traxxas which is always a good thing. Ultimately though it's really hard to make a recommendation between those two because they're so similar in most ways that count

There is no the best rc ever. There’s only beefy and Durable and most importantly FUN. It’s always the trigger and the hand that breaks the cars no matter how they’re built. Now if you bash one of Mr Werner Slines builds they are closer to the best RC’s made anywhere. 👊😎
@DoRC
@DoRC 9 месяцев назад
I'd have to disagree. Best is definitely always going to be subjective but in the case of the Kagama it's nearly indestructible out of the box, stunts like a stunt truck, handles like a truggy and is very fun. Of course as I showed in my video it's not indestructible but it is very very good and easily the best release I've experienced this year. But yeah that guy make some crazy stuff!

@DoRC
@DoRC 9 месяцев назад
This is traditional 1/8 buggy size. The Asuga uses the same length chassis as a truggy so it's quite a bit larger than a standard 1/8 buggy. Beyond that and the obvious things that will be different because of the different size the center brace system is different, The ABCD block attachment points are beefier on the Asuga but everything else is going to be pretty much the same.

@mikescallon4288
@mikescallon4288 9 месяцев назад
Completely agree. Also, yes they have some power but in order to fully access the higher end speeds you need to swap out the Spur gear for a 46mm. Only then will they hit the same top speeds as the comparable Arrma vechiles which do not require a spur gear change. Mu experience with the Muraco was horrible. Along with the Redcat Kaiju ext, these were the absolute worst, cheaply made rc's I had ever owned. After only several mild drives with the Muraco the amount of wear it showed was staggering. I compared it to my Talion exb and in short, there is no comparison. Every single part was inferior to the Arrma. I have been duped in the past after a manufacturer who I previously had a bad experience with releases a supposedly better new version only to end up having an even worse situation with the new rc than the initial one. A good example being the Kaiju ext which was supposedly better im every way than the original Kaiju. While videos such as thos one and the one for the Kagama make it sound tempting. I have to remind myself that these companies are still not in the same league as the Horizion fleet of vechiles.
@DoRC
@DoRC 9 месяцев назад
I've never had any specific problems with their transmitter but it is the cheapest part of the electronics For sure
@DoRC
@DoRC 9 месяцев назад
I'm not sure who said that the EXT was supposed to be better than the original Kaiju but other than being longer and having a different body there really weren't any differences. From the original Muraco to this they've made a ton of upgrades. Pretty much everything that was deficient on that original car has been addressed. Modern TC cars are easily in the same league as Traxxas and Horizon and in my opinion are actually superior.
