keiara guillory yessss. My cosmetology teacher said with the eyelash app you’ll need a eyelash curler little scissors to measure during the test and a mascara wand and makeup remover but I didn’t use any of that and got 8 out of 11

I haven't been in cosmetology school in 10 years also. I found a refresher course and passed my written test 2 months ago but for the practical they pretty much just left me on my own. So glad to find these videos gonna watch them all to make sure i pass my practical.

Yes I’m waking up this morning feeling amazing!!!! My feedback will be this make sure you label all of your tools correctly. Make sure you follow all of the steps. There is 130 points you can get and I passed with 120. You will be nervous and that’s okay. Take a deep breath and relax and remember that you was meant to do this. Also make sure to bring good tape the only thing that got me was my tape didn’t hold till the end my bag fell and touched the ground. I just over sanitize everything when that happen and I was okay. Oh and one more thing when the time comes to do the foil just seat there this is a no time section. The proctor will come to you individual and ask you to demonstrate the foil method don’t look around just keep looking forward till they get to you.

The bag with the kit remains all the time on the floor ?

Hi, you can use any duffel bag , just be sure all of your bags fit and you label the duffel bag with “Clean” or “Pre-Sanitize” 😊

You go right into disinfecting they will not give you instructions on what to do. I read the steps for you guys in these video to help you prepare but the day of the test they will only read you the name of section you will be doing the time allowed and will tell you to start, but that’s about it.

Going in it should be at least 6-7inches long

Yes you do .

You will pass ! Do all the steps and try to finish each section and keep sanitation in mind at all times! To answer your question. You are right when it comes to the draping everyone does something different and it does not mean they are correct and others are wrong or vice versa . The rule of thumb is the following. -You can change the draping for each section if you want to. - you can keep the same draping you used during the eyelash application and use it for the Facial and for the waxing service and you should be fine. Unless you get product on the draping or it gets “soiled” you should change it. -for the Haircut you will need to change it because you will use a cutting cape. -for the chemical services you will change it because you’ll use a chemical cape . And could probably keep the same drape for the remaining sections and maybe change out the top towel only. Like I said everyone does it a little different you decide what you want to do and stick to it. Best of luck to you and let me know how you do ❤️

Sure you can do it that way, most of our students once they wipe down the table they set the bag down while holding the trash( the paper towel used to wipe down the station) they go into the bag and get the trash bag and tape they manage to tape it very well and than throw the trash in it followed by sanitizing their hands and continue to set up the rest of the items . Hope that makes sense.

Hi Disinfect your workstation first set your paper towel to the side and than tape your bag if you are allowed to or hook it if they provide one, than throw your trash away, sanitize your hands . Than continue to set up the rest of your station.

The permanent wave video is up already hun.... the Haircut video i might put up soon. The change is - you can can decide whichever haircut you do on the mannequin , it does not have to be a 90 but it does have to be a layered haircut and you do what to use the razor at whichever point you want as long as you use it. ... yes you still have to blow dry and do the Thermal curling with marcerl but now you have to do 2 curls 1 on base and 1 off base. @@daisycardoso3998 any nail supply store.. look for a small oderless kit.. little finger with free edge.. tips.. nail brush..buffer.. file... to name a few.

Hi A person will be watching you through a camera they will have you scan the room to make sure no one else is there, you have to have a table working space , broom and dust pan for the haircut, you will have to show them your kit and the set up. Also they do not give you the results right after you will get them a few days later via email.

She held it on her hand until she taped her trash bag to the table to than throw it inside and continue setting up.

Our students take 3 different gel jars and 3 different brushes to dip directly from the jar just like the video.

You can carry it or have it in your bag if it fits. They may have everyone take it out and place it on your assign station before the test starts, just listen and do whatever they say. If they do NOT have you take it out before the test starts than yes you will set it up on the stand during the pre-exam set up and disinfection .

Pretty much the same except for that part of the test we have it in a whole separate bag labeled and with an extra bag labeled “biohazards” remember you must double bag for the blood spill. You need gloves, gauze, antiseptic wipe, and bandaid 🩹

I believe you can use a tripod but you should double read the psi packet make sure its not something prohibited, all of our students use the clamp, so i cannot confirm it.

I don’t have the exact measurements of the bag ☹️ but i compare it to a gym bag not too large not too small you also want to pack accordingly and not take things you for sure will not need.

They don’t want it to be any bigger than 30x30 (which is pretty big) but yea it can be smaller than 30x30 without a problem.
