Thaksin returned provided evidences on his party reconciliation with military n monarch. 1. Thaksin annouced return 2 Thaksin arrived in Thailand and was arrested and charge in court. 3. A sentence was passed 4. Instead of going to prison directly, he went to the hospital, at the same time he apply for king pardon 5. Once king pardon him, he will be a clean man again
So back, stabbing and backroom deals are now considered reconciliation? The spineless Pheu Thai had this planned from the moment they lost a close race.
Pita needs to call out this political farce and press for the PM's position. Those royalists are not doing the right thing to protect the legacy of Chakri.
Pita is the leader of move backward party because he has a campaign only for sex worker , abortion and LGBT can get marry which is not for all the Thai people. so Thai people suitable for Puer Thai party not move backward party for sure
@@user-vx6yj5iw4zPhue Thai used lies upon lies to get in power. This has nothing to do with policies. This is a fight for justice. Sretta and Phue Thai is now just a puppet for the military junta.
Pita we will wait for you to lead Thailand. You’re a visionary and young energetic leader. I’m filipino but I’m praying that God will put you soon in power. You’re the best!
He has stolen PM position from Pita, who has majority votes. His party collaborated with military n monarch for PM position and Thaksin return. Thailand is not returning to Democratic system yet.
Military/junta-appointed senator won't approve his nomination to become Prime Minister. Monarchy, military and elites are too powerful and they won't allow someone like Pita to change or destroy the status quo of oligarchy in Thailand.
You should know, that in democracy, having the majority of votes doesn't necessarily mean, that you become PM ,unless you got more than 50% of the votes. Otherwise you will have to join forces with other parties, such that the total exceeds 50%. Also, getting elected doesn't give you total power to do what you want. That would be like two wolves and a sheep voting for what to have for dinner. The opposition still has influence, and still has a voice, and therefore freedom of speech is essential for having a democracy, enabling you to speak freely without fear of punishment. I don't think Pita expected to become PM this time. He is still young and paved a way for the future.
@@ChiliCrisp88buddy, at least you have peace. South East Asia has been through a lot of crap these last few centuries. From Western Imperialism and colonialism, to the brutal wars in the 1950, 1960s and 1970s. Brutal Japanese imperialism. Yes you have had a lot of coups, but at least Thank God you guys in Thailand were able to escape all of those horrible events.
@@KnightxxArrow Ok but for a country that has had so many military coups, you’d think they will downplay the military aspect if they are serious about democracy. But I guess with the military still having a strong influence, it’ll not matter unless the King mandates it.
A difficult move forming coalition with military/royalists. Maybe only option for new gvt? Many PT voters likely to move away. The Senate has enough vote to block GaoGlai. Undemocratic🙁
I hated Philippine politics for a long time, but now I realize that the freedom to vote directly for the leader that I like, even if the outcome will not be according to my liking sometimes, is the best thing in the world. VOX POPULI VOX DEI: The voice of the people is the voice of God. I felt sorry for the people of Thailand. They have to deal with the current king, who is clearly the opposite of the revered King Bhumibol Adulyadej.
I suspect Peuthai had a backdoor deal with the deep state. After Sretta becomes PM. Thaksin comes back. Is Sretta a puppet of Thaksin? The Elite Class now have control of Thailand. Will the ordinary Thai benefit from this?
We in Thailand do not expect much progress for the country and it's national development with this new prime minister, who could likely turn out to be just another proxy and puppet of the former prime minister Thaksin since he was appointed to be the candidate for prime minister by Thaksin's political party Phue Thai.
Many, I read, want Pita (Peter?) to be a PM later. Are Thai people ready to reduce royal power or, worse, royal disband if he is in power? He is too progressive.
What a wayang. Less than 1 day after being arrested, Thaksin has health problems and needs to go to a hospital instead of veing in prison.. Royal Siriraj no less. Less than even few months ago, he could fly into Singapore and go round on his own with his sister to all his favourite hawkers The Thais really need to put an end to all these nonsense if they hope for more respect from the world.
